An absolutely wonderful park. They have clean restrooms, a neat little obstacle course, and some nice paths for walking and biking. I suggest going out on the boardwalk to check out the marshy areas by the river They are doing some construction here, but most of it is accessible.

It is a great place to take kids and have a picnic lunch. We climbed the climbing wall, walked the rope bridge explored the nature paths and ponds. We had lunch there and walked over to red oak nature area. We explored a little cave and saw nests of great heron off the Fox River.

Such a cool park, I didn't even know this park was here. My sister and I decided to take our 6 kids here (ages 2-12). We hit up the obstacle course first, which all the kids enjoyed. Next we walked over to the pond area where we saw an otter, deer, frogs, turtles, and lots of tadpoles. Just about a 10 minute walk up the trail is red oak nature center, so we did that next. Lippold park has really nice bathroom and facilities. We will be back!

Went for a nice walk Easter morning, to the cave of the Spirit, with the kids. The cave was smaller than I imagined but still cool, especially the legend behind it. Lots of fun. New favorite place to walk to in our area

Beautiful place. Was looking for a nice place to bring my lunch and write for a bit. Not too many here during the week. I'm attaching a few pics I took.

A beautiful and peaceful area along the river. The flowers were really pretty. You can walk along the boardwalk around the pond and also have access to the river.

Fabulous, easily accessible wetland ecosystem. There is bike parking and a covered shelter. Took about 10 minutes to meander around the boardwalks, but of course you could spend longer taking it in.

It's no longer Lippold Park. It's an addition to Red Oak Nature Center called "Red Oak The Wilds". I hope this is a temporary setup because this new setup looks like a wasteland.

Fun for the kids but pretty small playground area. Very nice walking area over the wetland where it’s easy to spot frogs, snakes, muskrat, etc.

Love this park. I took my 3 daughters and they love it. To bad that they closed really early it may be cuz of the pandemic. But will be back soon

Easy mode park, with a large activity/climbing play area. Best feature: the raised walkway leading to a scenic bench area on the river's edge.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Gem of a museum that has a small collection of warbirds, several of which fly. This has been the best experience ever of visiting such a museum.
