Having grown up in Lockport and have been coming to this park well over 50 years. Give this place the Gold Standard when it comes to parks. The Lockport park district, is one of the best to do it anywhere in the country. A great place to bring family and friends and enjoy nature.

β€œDellwood is a place that I visit almost everyday ! It is a large park with a variety of historical sites and things to partake in. There are so many options when it comes to this park. You can enjoy playing disc golf there with some friends, have a picnic, go to the park, ride your bike, take a walk, and just enjoying yourself. There are so many options when it comes to this park. There is a beautiful river to walk along in the forest. There are several different entrances and places to park. I definitely recommend Dellwood for anybody who enjoys going to parks/nature scenes. You will not regret coming to see the beautiful scenery and park!” β€”Chloe

Awesome course that is well maintained. The pro shop has a lot to offer. I wish they sold disc retrievers! xD I played this course twice and lived it both times. Most of the water is shallow enough to find your disc. Lots of variation along the course with hills and streams, wooded and open, shots that curve left and ones that curve right.

What a cool relic of history, and such gorgeous nature! I’m fascinated by this place. It would have been something to have seen it in its heyday. But walk the paths, imagine, and enjoy nature.

Awesome disc golf course. They have a putting practice basket and a frisbee disc shop where you can buy just about any disc imaginable, carry bags, disc retrievers, water, Gatorade, and more. I will warn you though, if it's a nice weekend day it can get packed, but it's worth the wait.

It is absolutely beautiful to walk the trails and see all that nature has to offer. I would have given 5 stars if not for dodging getting hit by discs from disc golfers. Disc golf course is in line with walking running trails so you have to be careful. Great park for kids to play on if you come just for that. Lots for the kids to play on etc. Highly recommend. Just be careful when walking you dont get hit with a disc from the golfers. Who some not all treat you like you shouldn't be walking the paths.

My kids absolutely love dellwood park! The playground is spacious with a lot of kids and free of trash and gang graffiti (huge plus) police regularly patrol (thank you boys) and the trails and freebie golf course are real decent. They also have a pretty cool garden and picnic area.

This park is huge and beautiful. Plenty of trails to walk on and if you love doing stairs they have a big row of them. It runs right along the canal. Plenty of picnic spots. If you do frisbee golf they have it. They have 3 playgrounds. Each play ground is designed for different ages. They have restrooms as well so you don't have to leave to go out for a bathroom break. One of my many favorite park by far.

Amazing course. Wear shoes. Terrain is not for the faint of heart. Definitely more geared towards professionals and advanced players. Simply beautiful course.

Beautiful local park with some amazing walking trails. While this part is busy with disc golf, it is a gem worth exploring with the family or a walk with the dogs. The creek and the canyons are truly a spectacle in the sleepy town of Lockport.

Love Lockport and Dellwood Park was no exception. Lots to explore if you're a nature lover. From the abandoned dam to the disc park, it's a great place to walk with your friends.

Unpretentious Greek fast food. Very clean and pleasant dining. Great, bbq, but I usually stick w gyros or hotdogs because I'm in a hurry. Plenty of free parking and easy drive thru.

Gorgeous park. Loved the disc golf. Flew out that morning from Tulsa to come play!

I would just advise more attention be paid to the Port able toilets. The lack of toilet paper for an event the size of the historical military weekend, was disappointing. Saturday night, with a large crowd for the band that was there was great. But the bathroom situation was not.

The best disk golf park in the state, that I've ever played. Many different types of holes. Changes in elevation to be more like a hike. Extra holes available if desired. Multiple tee pads and well kept.

This is the most beautiful park around this part of Illinois. I feel safe here and the people are normal. Thick foliage and very clear paths cutting through the forest. Beautiful rivers and steep climbs. Plenty of benches and overhead structures with benches for resting. Trash cans all over and they clean the park very well.

This is arguably the largest disc golf course in Illinois that challenges both new and experienced players! There's a large park for picnics and hands down the largest disc golf store I've ever seen! I drive many miles just to stop and why not with their top notch customer service I feel right at home. And regardless of if your new or experienced every staff member is extremely knowledgeable and enjoys helping and educating anyone willing to learn more about the sport they're so passionate about.
