First off I’d buy every bike in here if I could. Beautiful custom made single speeds, including the frames. I was looking for a rental bike that was a bit more fun to ride so I called up heritage and they said they have a few rentals. I arrived and they got me set on a glorious single speed. My wife is running the Chicago marathon and I wanted to tag along on a bike. The service was excellent as I rented the bike. Very friendly. I will return again and again here. Thanks!

Highly recommend: the coffee/latte were great. Service was good, and the place is cozy with seating inside and outside. Will be back. Good spot during nice summer weather to sit outside.

Order a lavender latte, which I loved. Cute and small with great decor and nice atmosphere.

Quite an interesting coffee shop. Never would I have thought to have both a coffee shop and bike shop together as one but here we are. Espresso was great with how much flavor it has and for the price at just over $3. Food looked wonderful as well. Great place to hang out and buy a bike as well.

One of the highlights of my trip to Chicago. They combine two of my favorite things, bikes and coffee, in a vintage-inspired yet crisp + modern interior setting complete with plants and carefully-arranged products for sale. The balance between aesthetics and function inside the shop is super admirable; it’s one thing to look pretty, it’s another to provide quality service and product in that same setting. But Heritage pulls it off! My latte was incredible and they sell some awesome bike gear. I can’t speak for the bike services, but there were folks working on both sides of the shop. Next time I’m in town I’ll plan on chilling out with a book here. A really great atmosphere.

Been coming to Heritage since they opened almost 12 years ago and it remains my favorite coffee shop in Chicago to this day! It’s the kind of place that reliably serves great coffee, good vibes and feels like home.

They were able to fix my bike that the other bike repair shop was unable to do, for half the price they asked and I was able to sip tea and work on some things in the cafe while I waited! Highly recommend.

Had a flat tire and brought it here. They fixed it in a few minutes! The man who worked on my tire was super friendly and kind to my 7 year old son who was interested in watching him. He explained what he was doing and carried on conversation while he worked. It really meant a lot and was appreciated. Will def come back here.

My rear bike tire had a blow out about a block away and Chris dropped everything to help get me back on the road quickly. Will definitely be back for bike service and a coffee! Highly recommend.

Best breakfast burrito in the city! Love their macadamia nut milk in the lattes too. Will keep this spot as a staple! All around cozy experience. Soft music and quiet enough to meet friends for coffee.

A bike shop and coffee shop combo, there is no better match. My experience here was lovely and the barista truly went above and beyond to offer help when I walked in with a flat! The coffee was delightful and exactly as I asked. 10/10 experience and will be coming back when I’m in town 😊

Heritage has one of the best coffeeshop vibes in the city. One morning here with the light shining in through their huge windows will make you never want to leave. Coffee is great, pastry selection is incredible, and the more substantial breakfast options are outstanding. For cycling enthusiasts, Heritage also makes for a lovely browse. Brooks saddles along with custom made bike frames...it's a dream. I bought a custom steel bike here back in 2017 and have never loved anything more. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

My favorite local coffee shop! Fast and high quality, with no-frills ordering and tasty food options too. AND an extremely convenient bike shop? The best.

I hate posting negative reviews for local small businesses but after twice trying this place and never being able to order, I figured the poor service is truly a trend here. Todays ordeal was at 11:00am so I expected it to be busy, what I didn’t expect is to see 8 people in line, 2 people behind the counter to take orders, make drinks etc and no other employees in sight (except the guy in the kitchen). We were there for at least 4 mins and no one acknowledged the people in line. Finally one person got to place an order before the employee went back to making drinks….1 down and 7 to go before I would reach the counter. I get that staffing is tough and maybe someone called in sick, but where are the owners helping out? If you’re understaffed, maybe turn off online orders so you can focus on your in-house customers? I wasn’t in a rush and it’s a beautiful fall day so having to wait wasn’t the issue, but having employees that act like they don’t care is a problem.

My go-to neighborhood coffee shop - the best, feels like home! Only thing that would make this place better would be to bring back the strider sando!! Used to be my every day order — delicious and perfectly sized. Other food options are great too, but a little large for every day munching.

My favorite spot in the city to grab a cup of coffee. Always have amazing service from the friendly staff. The food is great too. Summer days on the patio here can't be beat.

I have walked past this place many times over the years but they are always really busy. Finally I saw a chance to grab a coffee and sit down which I did! I will say from the moment I walked in.. the staff was warm & inviting. I only bought a drip coffee but they brewed it fresh & they even bought it to my table in a real cup! You don’t see that anymore and so it just made the experience that much better. I want to thank the staff for making my coffee treat more then I could have asked for. The attached bike store is cute and has everything from bikes to merch! I might come back and buy a shirt next time I’m in the hood. I give this place 5⭐️ Jerry (the pigeon) gives 5⭐️

Super cool spot, good menu, but bad attitude on the dude working the register. Smile on our face, but he was pissy and rude. We left, didn't finish order, won't be going back. Too bad as it's a few blocks from our house. Met owner before, he seemed like a good dude, but needs to get his crew in line.

Lovely café. Loved the 'heritage' bikes. Food and coffee we're both excellent - such a great place to chill and chat.

This place is such a neighborhood gem with such wonderful people who work there. I go there regularly with my dog, and Chris and Marc are always so helpful and friendly. And each time I learn something new about bikes and how to take good care of them. I love the combination with a coffee house and the space feels that it is overall much more about community rather than the generic commercial coffee and store branches that are so common in the US. Thank you to the store and all the people involved for your contribution to our neighborhood*

Beautiful shop and wonderful menu. All the syrups are made in house, matcha is whisked by hand and is wonderfully made. Highly recommend for any coffee folk in the area. I got the shaken matcha lemonade which was delicious.

Love Heritage. Can't recommend them enough. The people, the coffee, and the community. Been going to this OG location since I moved to Chicago 8 years ago and it's still one of my favorites. Always will be!

The coffee here is great and the atmosphere is relaxed, you can come here to do work remotely (many do) or come to read and relax. Great spot. Hidden gem 💎 kind of place, Wonderful cozy vibes.

September 2021, I ordered a bike from Heritage hoping I’d receive it in time for a Christmas gift. In December, I was told 2-3 weeks, and every 2-3 weeks I’d call in and was told the same thing until 8 months went by. Excuses were the bike fell over, it was painted the wrong color, etc. A couple weeks ago, I called in and was told the frame finally came in but the painted fender and chain guard I ordered were still not available. Additionally, the coaster brake I originally ordered was not available and they would need to order one. After 8 months, I just wanted a bike so I said I’d take delivery with hand brakes and without the painted fender and chain guard. I was told it would be ready by the weekend but that came and passed without a call from the shop. I called back and was told it would be ready by the next weekend and they were “pretty sure” they had all the parts. After feeling like Charlie Brown for 8 months I decided to just ask for a refund. Super bummed, I think they have beautiful bikes, I just couldn’t buy one.

Loved Heritage! It was my favorite coffee spot during our visit to Chicago and I visited several others. This place had such a cool vibe, people were great/helpful, and of course the coffee was delicious. Had a cold brew and a drip and both were great. Will be back on our next visit to Chitown.
