This lake is stocked each year with young Walleye that come from a garage based fish hatchery the local forest preserve employee run. Just saw a short on “Chicago Tonight”. The forest preserve employees do a great job in helping to keep our lakes stocked with fish - Thank you for your hardwork so everyone can keep fishing here for years to come!!

Terrific place to go boating,fishing,swimming it's a fantastic spot all year around. To be surrounded by nature just walking along the area is absolute bliss. Perfect spot for family outings or a nice romantic couples picnic.

This spot has been around for years , and tends to have some good fishing at times. As of lately I've been twice and have caught small catfish (bullheads and channel) , and also strip bass. I'm thinking of renting a boat from them to get further out in the water where i think the bigger may be due to the hot weather. Good place for a picnic, kids , walking the dogs, and just enjoying the scenery.

Had a plan to go somewhere else but it was closed and a forest preserve guy told us we could kayak here, so we checked it out that day. We went back the following day with the kayaks and had a blast. Then went back for a 3rd day in a row to go back out on the kayaks with a couple people. Everyone had so much fun. Great place and love to be able to go out and kayak, such a great way to social distance and still be out

It's good for kayaking only. As far as fishing, this lake probably hasn't been stocked in so long. Don't count on even catching a bluegill here

This is a beautiful lake with lots to explore. There is a boat launch right between 2 piers that is very easy for getting my kayak in and out of the water. The shape of the lake also makes it feel like more of an adventure, because you go around corners to discover more! You can also rent kayaks there too!

We have been taking my nieces here for fishing for several years. Sometimes we dont even put our poles in the water. We cook, kayak and enjoy being together.

They stock the fish on the opposite side of where everyone shore fishes at. To get to the really good spots, you need a boat...

I took my grand childern with me to fish.the plce look nice and clean a great place to have family gatherings.the fishing was a disappointment they clam to have a big variety of fish in there and i was there for 5hours,but not one fish an we moved to different location in the park.

Lots of good fishing spots, picnic spots, and also open areas for kids to run and play soccer, football, etc. Perfect for a day outdoors
