We took our cat here for years until we had to switch to a vet in Skokie. They always took very good care of our baby and were very diligent! The clinic is always clean and the staff have always been helpful and efficient, although those things matter much less to me than the actual care my cat receives. Unfortunately, the new vet we tried taking our cat to wasn't great and there was a mishap with blood work/medication refills so I desperately emailed Animal Medical Center and they were kind enough to help me, even though we had to switch vets! They were also helpful in the beginning of the switching process with faxing over her file. I really appreciate all they've done for us and if we could keep taking our baby here we absolutely would! Maybe we'll be able to come back someday. :)

I have nothing but good things to say about this vet and its wonderful staff! When I found a pregnant cat and suddenly went from 1 cat to 6, I had no idea what to do! The staff at AMCOC were so helpful and kind, getting everyone the care they needed to thrive. Dr. Simpson, Dr., Behnke, William, Jo, and SO MANY other members of staff have been beyond caring and attentive to my pets, and I appreciate it more than anything. When my adult cat needed dental surgery, they went above and beyond to make him comfortable and calm. If you want your pets to have the love and care you would give them, this is your vet.

I made the tough decision of having to send my baby to the rainbow bridge last night. It was an emergency situation. They took me in immediately when I called. They were compassionate. Everyone I worked with was very helpful and took good care of my Bella. Thank you for making a tough day a little easier. I knew immediately I was in good hands. I know it can't be easy on your end to have to manage these situations. I appreciate the love and care put into my situation.

Dr Donna Solomon is amazing!! We just switched Veterinarians as I wasn't overly thrilled with the place we were going. I adopted my pup at age 2-1/2 and though best to keep with his current vet. I am so glad we switched to Dr Solomon, she was incredibly thorough and listened to my concerns about various little things about my boy. Items I had repeatedly asked his old vet about, and they more or less brushed them off ... Finally, we have an incredibly thorough Veterinarian. I highly recommend Animal Medical Center! They do have 4 parking spots behind the building, but good luck finding an open spot. In fact don't bother, park across the street in front of St Bonaventure.

I have been taking our animal companions to Animal Medical Center of Chicago for ~30 years now. We are just starting with our third group of cats with them, and I wouldn't think of taking them anywhere else. I can't say enough great things about the friendly staff, how they have always treated our cats with respect and love as if they were their own, and have solved some really complicated medical issues, all while giving solid, frank advice. Special shout outs to Dr. Solomon, Dr. Janik, and Dr. England, all who have gone above and beyond with our critters, and helped us give them long, healthy, happy lives. Thank you for being so awesome!

Ok FULL DISCLOSURE: we did not actually see a vet here. I literally had to come write a review because I talked to the nicest person in the world when I called to see if they were taking new patients. Although they were, I needed something a bit sooner for my kitty. The lovely person I talked to was so friendly, seemed genuinely interested and invested in ensuring that we found care for my cat, and without asking, took the time to follow up with a text with the names and numbers of local emergency vets in case we needed to be seen rapidly. When we need something less urgent, we’ll be back solely based on this interaction.

Amazing group of doctors for my three fuzzy kids. Dr Solomon is innovative and thorough, always keenly involved in detailed care of the most challenging cases. My two dog kids need special care and the clinic and staff are superb. Kind, caring and sweet. Thank you!

I've had a great experience with everyone at Animal Medical. They truly care about the animals and are not pushy when it comes to treatment. They discuss the facts and give advice, but make sure pet parents know that they have to be comfortable with the treatment

Animal Medical Center is exactly the fear free veterinary clinic we were looking for. Unfortunately our shelter dog is pretty shy and had a bad experience at another vet that made him extremely anxious to return to any vet offices. Dr Simpson and the staff came up with a great plan to make sure his visits are comfortable and safe for everyone. Thanks to Animal Medical Center for making sure he lives a happy and healthy life!

We have been going here with all of your dogs since they opened. I know that we get the best treatment here and that they follow up with our visits with our specialists (if we have one) and will always find an answer to our medical needs even if it is not at our appt. We love AMC!!!!!

My 2 cats have been seeing the veterinarians at Animal Medical Center since they were kittens and were adopted more than 16 years ago. The entire staff is wonderful and friendly and has provided my cats (and me) with excellent care over the years. Friends and family who I have referred to AMC have been similarly pleased, even where diagnoses had been previously elusive for their beloved pets. I recommend AMC to friends and contacts alike and will continue to do so because of the excellent care that they provide!

You seriously cannot find better care and compassion for your furbabies. The vets and staff really care about their patients and always call to check up on them. They even crammed my baby in when they and no openings for an emergency, and the doctor spent over an hour with us. Truly is the best care in Chicago.

I can't say enough great things about Animal Medical Center of Chicago. We have been taking our Macy to them since she was 7.5 weeks old and will be 13 years old next month. Everyone is very dedicated to giving the best care and service. Dr. England was the first vet we saw, and we love him and his caring way. I highly recommend this vet clinic. :)

They were very helpful when my cat decided to escape from his carrier, allowing me to go into a room early. Kitty was given lots of treats and love, and the vet techs let him take a break when his patience for vaccines and blood drawing was running out.

I think this place is top notch. I have a reactive dog that's fairly anxious and they accommodate this really well, clearing the hallways and doorways and scheduling us early in the morning. They make scheduling easy, and are always very prompt with email responses. Since my dog is on behavioral meds this was super helpful and I really feel that Dr. Ogishi really cares about my dog's progress. I really appreciate it! It is pricier than other vets we've seen in Chicago but I think that this is worth it because we do need specialized accommodations, but if my dog was 'normal' it might be frustrating.

We started bringing our puppy to AMCC shortly after bringing him home and have been extremely happy with the staff, ease of scheduling, care, and support! Scheduling his vaccinations and puppy appts was a breeze. I have enjoyed the care and concern all of Dr. Solomon’s staff has shown over the last 15 or so years. They have treated and saved several of my pets and been so sympathetic when my pets needed final service. The doctors and staff are wonderful!

Big fan of AMC so far after our first visit! If not for the typical sounds of other pets, it would seem like you're walking in to a big house rather than a scary vet office. Everything was very clean and organized, the staff was very kind, and there wasn't much waiting at all. It's not much more expensive than other vet offices that I've taken pets to and I never felt pressured or rushed to agree to services. The fees are worth it for the smooth experience and I will definitely go back!

Animal Medical Center of Chicago was highly recommended by two of my friends. I am fostering a dog who needed care and they could not have been more accommodating or compassionate. I have been going to Animal Medical Center of Chicago for about 4 years now. The entire staff is incredibly kind, friendly and they truly care about their patients. My cats and dog are like my children and I fully trust the entire staff there to not only take great care of my babies but also to be comforting and loving to them when they’re in their care. I recently had to visit another vet during the transition of adopting my dog and I was reminded of how grateful I am of Animal Medical Center of Chicago and Dr. Simpson. A handful of people in my neighborhood go there as well and I’ve never heard anything but glowing reviews from them.

This is the best vet I've ever been to, by a mile! They care deeply about you and your pets. Dr. England treated us with such care and grace in such a tough situation. I am beyond grateful I found this place.

The care animal medical center of Chicago has provided to our dogs over the years has been fantastic. We are on our 6th dog that just became a new patient. If you want your furry friend(s) to have the best veterinary care possible, this is the place to go!

I would give these folks 100 stars if possible. I have been to several different vets in Chicago over the past 10 years, and AMC has consistently provided incredible service. My special little guy has been a patient here for almost 7 years and I will never take him anywhere else. If AMC costs more, I will happily pay it. I've seen them for regular checkups, dental work 3x, acute injuries, and ongoing chronic stuff. They exceed expectations everytime. The DVMs on staff are approachable, take the time to answer all your questions, and everyone on staff have a wonderful bedside manner with me and my pup. THEY ALWAYS CALL THE NEXT DAY TO FOLLOW UP AND ASK HOW YOUR PET IS DOING. The facility is clean. Their hours are such that you can find time no matter your work schedule. They have taken my dog in more than once without an appointment b/c something bad happened and he needed to get in like NOW. Their prices are fair // consistent with Chicago. They understand and know how to work with pet insurance if you have it. They recommend a range of options rather than pushing you toward one. I came in the first time b/c I had moved down the block from them and the prior DVM was now a bit far away aka random chance. I am so glad I found them. I wrote it above but I will say again to stress it - their DVMs (and all staff) are approachable and take genuine interest in you and your pet, they take the time to answer questions you have (I am positive I have asked some pretty silly ones in the past and they take it in stride). I have never once felt like I'm being rushed through. This alone is worth the trip.

We have used Animal Medical for our prior dog Fritz and now for our puppy Schatze. They are always responsive and very thorough in their explanations. Although we generally ask to see Dr. Solomon, because we personally know her best, we have confidence in all the doctors and staff at the clinic. We would highly recommend them!

The Staff is very respectful, polite, and friendly. The clinic is very clean. The staff gave me full explanation about Sweetie's condition as well as several options about what can be done to correct it. The wait time to be seen was very short. The staff showed genuine concern for Sweetie. They kept me informed about the cost for her meds and test. They also discussed a treatment plan for her that would allow me to afford to pay her bill. I am very thankful to have met them and for doing business with them. I will recommend them to anyone who has a pet.

Dr. Solomon & her team are the best in Chicago. Literally saved my cat’s life & follow up care is incredible. As is routine visit care - we’ve been using this group for nearly a decade & the attention to detail, professionalism, compassion, high quality of care is extraordinary. No matter what the case, I am always rest assured & couldn’t be more confident my cat is in the best hands.

I have lovingly brought 4 cats over the last 25 years to AMC. Dr. Solomon from day one has been caring, personable and knowledgeable. Through happiest of times...new kitties; to the hardest....time to say goodbye. We now have just one girl who is 18 and showing signs of slowing down. It is so helpful to know Dr. Solomon helps decide what is worth doing and what is going to bring little help and less a quality of life. I would trust her with any pet. Also have to shout out that the staff goes out of their way relaying messages, getting back to me and just plain personable when you are there. Go here and go without doubt that your pet will be taken care of surpassing the best standards.

We had a great experience with this clinic over the years helping us with our beloved, large shepherd mix dog. They were responsive and caring, and often provided multiple options and perspectives for care. They helped us navigate the difficult end of life process with our dog with compassion and patience. When we get another dog I’ll bring them back here. I would recommend this clinic to friends and family.

Absolute best veterinary practice I've ever encountered. My dogs have seen all the vets and especially love Dr. Solomon and Dr. Janik. The care and consideration they receive is extraordinary. Even when losing my older dog to a devastating cancer, Dr. Solomon remained unfailingly clear eyed, compassionate, and supportive. She then treated my surviving dog for the intense anxiety and stress that losing her pair-bonded friend induced. I love the experience, energy and flexibility this practice offers. The hours are great, they have emergency appointment slots, it's easy to fill medications, follow up care is consistent, and up to date on the medical literature. Best of all, the practice works with reactive, shy-fearful, and medically complex cases, which was a lifesaver after my rescues proved to be less than enthusiastic about vet visits.

This has been our vet for two dogs now, and we just love them. Very caring and they work hard to make it a good experience for the dogs. They are also great about integrating my kids in appts, answering their questions, etc. We love Dr. Simpson but everyone here is wonderful!

This place is the most amazing vet I have ever been too. Since we got our French Bulldog 5 years ago, it is the only place we trust to take care of our little girl. I was recommend by a former colleague and I couldn’t be more thankful. Dr England especially is one of a kind. He is the most caring, thoughtful, compassionate vets I could ever have asked for. Having a Frenchie comes with its ups and downs and Dr England has been with us every step of the way. We do not trust anyone else with our baby and he has gone above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and taken care of. (Not to mention answer ALL of my crazy dog parent questions with a smile).
