First I will start with the presentation of my food looked great and it smelled great. I ordered curry goat side of Mac n cheese and yams. The sides were not flavorful they needed seasoning the yams didn’t have the sweet taste just very dry. Now my goat started off tasting good a little salty but manageable thought it was the best thing on the plate and the only think i was going to eat. As I was eating I found a nice size piece of plastic mixed in with my goat meat. I immediately message DoorDash asking for 100% refund and tossed the food in the trash because my meat was cooked with plastic. This is beyond dangerous plastic can make you very sick if ingested and can lead to cancers. When i called the restaurant to let them know I’m not sure what I expecting but the response I was given was unacceptable and put a bad taste in my mouth. The lady who answered stated that “maybe it was the plastic the goat came in and said sorry that happen to you” and that was end of the conversation. She sounded very nonchalant like it wasn’t a big deal. After she stated that that also let me know that the meat is not being properly cleaned before cooking which is also VERY dangerous and can make you extremely sick. I will NEVER eat here again I will NEVER recommend this restaurant to friends or family because this is just completely unsanitary.

This place came highly recommended, so i had to try. I ordered jerk chicken. That was packed with flavor. Perfectly prepared - no sauce needed, but it added a kick. I ordered 2 side dishes. The yams were good, extra sweet. The red beans and rice were over seasoned....extremely salty in taste. I couldn't finish the beans. Try the chicken and yams

Delish, Fresh, Authentic Caribbean grub. This was ordered via a take out app. I arrived 10 min early, order was ready as I picked it up. Order was accurate, portions were good for the price, and the food was really delish! This is my 2nd time enjoying their yummy grub. My lunch order w/ pics below was $21 & it was enough for 3 meals (for me). Jerk Chicken (white meat), peas & rice, side of macaroni, small side of Cabbage & Candied Yams. Highly recommend. The staff was attentive & friendly. There are a few high top tables inside but it’s more of a take out or eat on the go type of joint. I’ll definitely order again & again.

Been wanting to try them out for a while, and I was very satisfied. I ordered a lunch special and everything was delicious. I had a wonderful experience and I'm thankful for the delicious meal. Great job everyone.

Googled " Jerk restaurants by me" and I should have kept driving. 1st & last time, this can't be jerk. They need to stop playing with ppl money 😡

I bought 2 meals for $52. I got four smallI oxtails and 2 mediocre sides for close to $25. The sweet potatoes were garbage. This was the worst Jamaican experience I have ever had, I would not spend my hard-earned money on this garbage ever again. The best thing i had on our plate was the rice and the jerk sauce. The rest of the items sucked. Those 2 plates were disrespectful.

I was SO pleased to see they've reopened! I phoned in my order which was taken by the cook, I was glad he told me the plantains weren't over ripe or I would've been greatly disappointed they weren't sweet. When I arrived the cashier was quite pleasant, service with a smile and a warm greeting! The food: jerk chicken, cabbage, and yams all quite delicious. I especially like their jerk sauce, not sweet or watery as I've had elsewhere, and the spice was so right. Great food and customer service can't be beat!

It's a rather long review .. let's see if I can get it all on here. I ordered two jerk chicken dinners then I asked if they had beef Pattie's today. Ms. Cashier said Yesss ( with a semi attitude. Then I ordered a Jamaican soda. I paid and sat and then I remembered I've had Jerk where they put the sauce on so I asked could you please put the sauce on the side . Her reply "it always comes on the side.. not nicely very condescending . Ok I left that alone although by then I was fuming inside . My order came up and me having this soda for the first time I couldn't see if it was a twist off . I asked and she says YOU can get it off. I replied I know I can get it off somehow but I was asking if it was twist . She said give it to me . And she did and I thanked her . I came all the way from Dolton because of recommendations from friends. It was first and last time . The food was good but this non caring cashier needs to be talked to about customer service.( that could ruin your business..... If she's talking and treating others as she did me I see a decline in your business. That young lady could have been my great granddaughter. As I said I can't and won't take anything from the food I had but I just can't patronize anymore. . Have a great day

0 for 2. I've been to this location twice in the last year and both times thw food was nasty. The chicken was chewy and and tasted microwaved. I also notice it didn't sound like any food was being cooked and it didn't smell like it either. The curry sauce was gritty like sand and the cabbage tasted old. Close this place down before someone gets sick

Hands down, the best jerk in the whole city. Red beans and rice always sauced up with the gravy, chicken FULL of flavor, the sauce is fire 🔥 and the yams don't taste like ear wax. I'm an hour away and every time I'm around local, I have to stop here. Worth every cent.👌🏽

I been going here since they were located on Harlem ave. I will admit the food is good but they are now overcharging and giving you scraps in your bag. I advise everyone to check ur food before you pay. They tell you that you have to pay before you see your order. That’s there gimmick cause they have a no refund policy. This is not the same jerk choice I’m used to. I’ve been given short orders 3times now. When you complain they say no refund. Be smart people check your food. I’m going bk to Caribbean jerk.

Really good jerk chicken and cabbage here. Tried the yams and they were pretty decent too. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the sauce used for the rice and beans but other than that I love this place.

This is the second time I’ve been disappointed by this place. The first time, the lettuce in my salad was bad I had poisoning. The second was yesterday. I placed an order about two weeks ago for a turkey pick up. I paid $110 for this turkey! Not only was the turkey dry but it did NOT come with jerk sauce! For that price that is insane. Then when I tried to buy jerk sauce they were all out. I feel when someone is paying $110 for a jerk turkey they should be propriety with making sure there is sauce available for them. Had I known there was no jerk sauce and that turkey didn’t come with jerk sauce I definitely would’ve chose somewhere else to order from.

2nd time and food is tasty but front of the house will cause customers to not return - rude and condescending when they make a mistake, full of excuses and mismanagement of expectations around time orders are ready. The cook is good and puts out good food but unorganized front of house will run away people. As a person in the industry, tried to offer positive advice , young lady basically said mind your own business sir, it’s not my fault I gave you the wrong order - sad and will not return. I try to spend my money at establishments that are diverse but accepting positive advice and listening to customers who have lots of experience is the cornerstone of improvement and growth. I understand how difficult it is to find really good people as I went in one day and lady said it was her 1st day/then returned 2 days later and another lady said it was her 1st day / imo and experience, until they get the front of the house sorted, no amount of good cooking with overcome this.

I been going to this place when they first open in calumet city. When they closed and I seen a sign on 95th I was excited I was there when they opened it religiously and I’m 47 mins from there but I like what I like but this is the third incident and I don’t care how much I like it the service declined tremendously. I place I online order for a whole dark and had to wait 30 mins just to be told I had to take my order mix not dark when that’s not what I asked for and waisted 30 mins and still have to drive over 40 mins back home is not ok the lady there will cause so much money lost I’ll be back when she is gone or trained because that’s not ok I supported this business so much to get this rude service , the owner from what we encounter is nice but that lady in there makes me not want to come back at all giving them a huge break the lady response was give money back it’s sad

The owner was so nice and asked if it was our first time coming into the restaurant, we told her that it was in fact our first time so she gave us a little sample of the cabbage, rice and beans, and jerk chicken with a litter jerk sauce. This first bite I was blown away, jerk chicken nicely seasoned, cabbage flavorful, and the rice and beans were really good also. So I instantly ordered some wings, cabbage, sweet potatoes, which taste really good also, not too sweet, the flavor is just right. I ordered an extra side of callaloo, the owner whipped that up for me even tho it wasn't already done and she did her Thang!!!! My sister got the stew chicken and jerk chicken combo, and I tried the stew chicken and that taste BOMB!! I will definitely be back to try more dishes. 😊

The whole experience was disappointing. The chef moved with no sense of urgency, they ran out of jerk chicken after I'd asked if they had Amy so I ended up getting 2 pieces of jerk and 2 pieces that was supposed to be curry chicken but it was brown stew chicken. I asked for beans and rice and they gave me the driest mac and cheese. I asked for sweet potatoes and got corn...poor service and subpar food. I still not be returning!

Got the 8 jerk wings and they were delicious. Best part was they were ready really fast. Their wings are full wings! Took them home and enjoyed every bite! The bread and jerk sauce are really good as well!

I call myself supporting black business as a black man myself so I chose to eat jerk chicken and for some reason the young man at the counter knew nothing of the menu that was directly to the right of him. As his recommendations were non existent, I was left to randomly sample what I assume to be a new age mystery meat. The drinks were $3 each , and in my opinion over priced. The food was mediocre as well. I'm not motivated to return to this location.

Over priced for the little portion that’s being giving! Never really cared for they food stop in and got the jerk sauce & the amount has triple. Prices are insane I guess they have to pay for the new location 🧐

This place serves delicious food! I ordered the jerk lunch special with yams, which included a good amount of jerk chicken and it also came with a piece of bread which was very fresh. It was delicious! I definitely recommend this place!

Wow! I ordered two jerk dinner with the oxtail dinner. The food was sooooo delicious 🤤 OMG! Everything was on point! My kids just kept saying how delicious it was. 10 out of 10 Must try again!

Service was great young lady took my order was very nice. I ordered curry goat. Rice was great but, the but the curry goat was salty and didn’t have any spicy kick to it. I’ll give them another chance next time I’m in the area again.

this place has the best jerk chicken I've eaten so far. The place is clean, and the lady at reception is the nicest person. I'll be coming back no matter how far this restaurant is from my house.

I ordered the Dark Jerk Chicken dinner and it was very good and tender. I love cabbage 😋 and theirs was tasty. Go there you will not be disappointed 😉

I called and placed an order today and I made it very clear I wanted my wings well done & I state this every time I go. When I got my wings they were so loose I was disgusted I took them back and the lil boy behind the counter says there is nothing he can do… which doesn’t make any kind of sense and I ask for a refund … this situation makes me not even want to return and I have been a customer since they were located by Portillo’s

Fantastic! I frequent Jamaica and this food is excellent. I ordered the jerk chicken, chicken curry, oxtails and curried goat Everything was delicious. Including the sides. Their jerk sauce is absolutely addicting. Great and friendly customer service as well! You won’t be disappointed.
