Just completed my open water training with Dorset diving services. I was a bit nervous turning up on the first night, but can honestly say that within minutes that passed as the team were great. By the end of the evening it felt like I was with friends. Awesome group of people. Would 100% recommend Dorset diving services to anyone. I’m gonna miss the fun Friday nights in the pool. I post this message to express my delight that my son Michael finally got to discover the joys of scuba diving. In fact he found the experience so exhilarating he has completed his open water accreditation and has already commenced the advanced open water qualification. The purpose of this narrative is to highlight the fact that disability should not be a barrier to pursuing and achieving goals/aspirations. Also, I have written this review to acknowledge and promote the good work taking place within “Dorset Diving” to accommodate, support and encourage people with disabilities to take part in scuba diving. Michael has a hearing impairment and wears aids to assist with his hearing. This means that scuba diving is not straightforward especially whilst undertaking training. The instructors have to make the necessary adjustments to ensure that communication between them and my son is not adversely affected. Although I had all of the anxieties that come with being a parent, my concerns were unfounded. I was very impressed with the professionalism and understanding the instructors demonstrated whilst teaching my son. Michael reported that at no stage did he feel uncomfortable or anxious and he found the whole process of learning very stimulating. I am extremely grateful to “Dorset Diving” for the positive experience given to my son, where dignity, safety and well-being underpinned everything they did whilst instructing Michael on the joys of scuba diving. Had an amazing time during yesterday’s evening dive which was part of my DSMB certification. Spot on 5 star professional service at this dive centre! From booking the session to executing the dive with full and undivided professional support. Big thank you to my diving instructor and the team overall. I ordered my Shearwater Peregrine dive computer only yesterday from Dorset Diving Services. They phoned me within minutes to confirm, and put it in the post straight away, so it was received within roughly 24 hours. Excellent service! Well done!

Really friendly bunch of people. Loads of options for teaching kids and grown ups. I visited to pick up some lead weights but will definitely return for some boat dives in due time, possibly even some pool dives for the kids.
