This field was converted into a nature walk in 2012/2013. It used to be a field that people used to walk their dogs around, even though it was private. Now though, it's open for everyone, with well kept gravel paths, a nice lake, and open spaces where you can fly kites, for example. There's a small, free car park that holds around 12 cars next to the children's playground, alongside Leigh Road. There are pedestrian entrances from Leigh Lane, Churchmoor Road, two from Leigh Road and two from the Leigh Common Nature Reserve, an SSSI. The paths are dotted with benches and there's a couple of picnic benches too. There's a nice bridge across the lake, which is near to the car park. Paths are solid enough for prams, wheelchairs and mobility scooters, although they will be bumpy. There are dog poo bins at all the entrances. Other than the lake, there's not much to see; it's quite an open space, but there are some accessible tracks through the neighbouring nature reserve, which has more to see. The children's play area has child gates, and contains a climbing frame, swings, baby swing, roundabout, basket swing, a small assault course and a couple of things harder to describe. It's ok. There's no shops or toilets nearby. It's about 1 mile from Wimborne town centre.

Good for dog walkers and children with several gravel paths, a large lake spanned by a bridge, a woodland area and a children's play park. It does stay wet and muddy in the central grass areas as it's a marshland, but if you keep to the paths it's fine. No toilet or food facilities though.

Love coming here with our dog. Great open space. 4/5 because I wish there were a few more picnic tables scattered around the 40 acre field.

A great public facility with parking, excellent children's play area and wonderful walking opportunities with paths, grassland, benches and a lakeside walk. Also opening on to historic Leigh Common with a board walk through its once grazed woodland. Only one thing lacking is toilet facilities.

Lovely play park and field with a pond. The car park has a height restriction of 1.83m, so not suitable for taller vehicles. There is however parking within a five minute walk.

There are aggressive hornets nesting in a tree trunk at the top of the field. My dog got stung multiple times and had to have vet treatment and I was also stung trying to help him. Very painful. Avoid going near the tree trunk!
