I visited Piccolo Mondo on Thursday 14 November 2019 in the evening, a weekday during term time. I was with three other people. This was my first visit. The restaurant comprises of one medium sized main dining area with a good number of tables with full table service. We had called ahead and booked a table - it was quite busy. The team were incredibly friendly and welcoming, we got everything we expected in good time and enjoyed the experience. I had the pâté for my starter and a Carne pizza for my main course. I wasn't keen on the starter but that's just personal taste, there wasn't anything wrong with it - I would have preferred normal bread toasted with the pâté but the restaurant uses an alternative which I wasn't keen on but I'd say that's personal taste. The pizza, however, was beautiful - very tasty and the dough was light and fluffy, probably sounds odd but just beautiful! There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me easily. The food was good value for money, I paid just under £30 for two courses and three drinks including a hot chocolate, a pint of diet coke and a half a diet coke. One other slight criticism, the glass that the half a diet coke came in had lipstick on, which I cleaned off, I didn't make a fuss, no need, I'm sure it had been through a dishwasher so I'm sure it doesn't matter but something to think about - I regularly have drinks served in glasses and, whilst I appreciate it can happen, I've not seen lipstick on a glass in a very long time so maybe a dishwasher or detergent issue or I was probably unlucky but no big issue! Overall I enjoyed my visit and would come and visit again, especially for the pizza and the very friendly staff.

Having recently moved to the area, and reading a lot of 5 star reviews for this restaurant, we thought we would check it out. Some people, it seems, will not agree with me when I say that I would rather have saved my money and cooked at home instead. It's a quirky little restaurant in a tucked corner of lovely Wimborne, but as far as the level of cooking goes here, we found it very low grade. The pasta was overcooked, and covered in a claggy, non descript white sauce..the chicken looked pre cooked, and then reheated, and also overcooked. The wine we chose was really nice, and at £25, we thought a fair enough price. We didn't want to make any complaints at the table in front of the other customers, but did say something to the lady behind the bar when we left, but unfortunately she didn't seem too interested in what we had to say. I would say there are far better restaurants in Wimborne to visit at this price point.

Great to get out for a lovely meal at this hidden gem of an Italian restaurant in Wimborne. Friendly welcome and great service all evening. Nice menu and specials give a great choice for dinner options. Will be back again soon.

First visit, will not be the last. Cosy, friendly, excellent food. Looking forward to our next meal here.

Great restaurant, been going here for years and they have lovely friendly staff and authentic Italian food cooked with love. Delicious super garlicy garlic bread, lovely flavour on the lasagna and a great tiramisu to finish it off

All the staff went out of their way to accommodate us last minute and create a wonderful atmosphere for a special occasion. Thankyou for giving us a wonderful evening. Lovely food too.

Enjoyed a nice mid-week evening meal, first time in this restaurant, staff were very pleasant and we enjoyed a little banter. We had two 2-course pizza meals with a bottle of wine for £55, which was a quite reasonable price. The menu is a little limited but, if you're after pasta or pizza, then do give this place a try. We'll certainly be returning!

Really nice family run restaurant. Staff are really friendly and attentive. Food is excellent and all freshly made. Lunchtime deal is amazing value with good sized portions.

The restaurant owner was hilarious. Delicious food and drink, the other restaurant staff were lovely. A beautifully relaxed atmosphere surrounded by upcycled furniture.

My favourite restaurant in Wimborne/Poole/Bournemouth area. I have recently moved and will still travel to eat here. Amazing pasta dishes with a variety of options. Staff are super friendly and will go above and beyond during service. Everyone that I've suggested the restaurant to have thoroughly enjoyed. Am looking forward to my meal on Friday night!

This wonderful restaurant with gorgeous food is literally the only reason we visit Wimborne. I don't know how they make such delicious food at such reasonable prices. Their lunch deal is the best we've ever come across. Such a fantastic pizza base and the pasta and the way you get to build your pasta dish is inspired. Highly recommended (but leave us a table!)

Popped into Wimborne on our way home from holiday in Devon. Read the reviews on this Pizzeria and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. Good food, good service, and a lively atmosphere. Obviously a very popular place. The owner seemed genuinely interested in keeping his customers happy.

Can't fault our lunch here - quick service, even though it was quite busy - the lunchtime deal of half a pizza and salad or garlic bread is great value at £6.25. I will need to go back and half a whole Highlander Pizza sometime, the combination and taste of the ingredients was perfect.

This place is hidden away, went in on a spur of the moment decision. Very pleasantly surprised, nice place nice atmosphere looked after very well, had a lunchtime special. All very acceptable, I would like to go there again.

This is the most amazing restaurant we have been to for evening meal in a long time. We usually go for lunch time meal and it is always lovely but as it was my husband’s birthday we decided to do evening meal. It was delicious all cooked fresh to order. Sea bass was exceptional. Will certainly be visiting for evening meal again very seen.
