This museum has a lot of history captured in these walls, come and see it and the best thing is that it is free.

This museum features a large collection of colonial religious art while telling the story of Panama's development through a range of everyday objects. The museum contains more than 100 pieces, including colonial-era paintings, metalwork, silverware, historical religious documents, manuscripts and image collections. All of this is housed in five rooms on two floors. The book collection includes more than 100 parish books restored by the cloistered sisters at the Santa Lucía Monastery in Zaragoza, Spain. Visitors can access the content of these books via touch devices. Visitors are always amazed by the nativity scene, which was donated by Teresita Bernal Ponce. It features 21 houses, 119 figures and 224 that bring 17 biblical chapters to life. On the ground floor of the museum you can see five bells from the churches of the old town (San Francisco de Asís, Santa Bárbara and Nuestra Señora de La Merced), which were replaced over time. In the courtyard there is also one of the oldest fountains in the city, which is over 200 years old.

It lacks a little more content, history and organization. But it is very beautiful.

I recommend it. Good interaction. It is a museum where you live the experience, you can feel its exhibitions. You are transported to the past and at the same time with good modern technology. Excellent place next to the Nuestra Señora de la Merced Church. And they know it's free. I only gave a one dollar donation for a historical pamphlet. It has valuable historical elements. It has a very old well. I really recommend them.

The museum is very nice and cozy, you even feel a vibe of peace and calm when you enter the museum, the museum is instructive and apart from being cozy, a great museum of the Catholic church, admission is free, you can also offer coins and light a candle as an offering to collaborate with the museum, it is also a very clean and quiet museum
