Worst hostel ever… I’ve been traveling since 9 weeks in hostels now (mexico, costa rica and panama) and I think you should not come here. 1.The AC in the room was at 28… it was way hotter in the room than outside. We ask to lower it and they did not. 2.The « rule » : to not make too much noise after midnight is not respected by the staff. I don’t really care if its a little party and people having fun, but it was only 1 person blasting the music until 4 am in the common area. They did not say anything to him and we were obligated to ask him 3 times to lower the music. 3.The dog is barking all the time even during the night…It woke me up.. 4.There’s only 2 toilets in the hostel (for more than 20 guests) 5.We can’t hang our towel or wet clothes anywhere. The only only option has a big sign on it saying we can’t hang them. I spent only 1 night there and I am leaving this morning for sure. The only « positive » is Paola the women who worked there (she was nice, but only speaks spanish).

I got this message , after writing a honest and neutral review here on google( that I deleted after being personally attacked), TripAdvisor and Hostelworld. This message by the hostel‘s host I received via Facebook messenger. I have no words left and don’t know why I am being personally attacked. Hi Nikita, Just wanted to tell you few words personaly. It's such a miss of humanity you have what you are doing!!! Put one review was not enough, you got to put 3 reviews. In the first review you put on google, you say you don't want to hurt anyone, then if hurting is not your goal then tell the things in person! You saw me working from 7 am to midnight, I was out of staff at moment. I am working hard to improve my hostel. I am not waiting siting on a chair!!!! You indicate we live here, it's wrong, we were moving to an appartment. I gave you a five star concierge service, you were asking for every single detail and that's the only thing you have to do putting reviews everywhere you can do it. My baby is 9 month old, I got hard time to be able to keep my hostel with the pandemic and you perfectly knew it s my business. I say it again your mentality is pathetic and you don't have any humanity at all. You will see if some days you have a baby, what is it to work and handle a family. If you have problems in your life, go to a meditation center but don't come to put your hanger to a mother who is working hard. Karma, Best regards

Had a wonderful stay here. Staff are super friendly and helpful with loads of information. Location is great, easy to reach the metro and busses. Lots of food options. When I left my soap holder in the hostel, they helped reunite it with me in Colombia (something so small but that tiny $15 baggie makes a big difference on my long-term travels). Only downsides are not all the dorm beds have privacy curtains. And the pancakes were too chewy for me to finish, so hopefully they can change the recipe to make them more fluffy. Overall, highly recommend!

Very very nice owners… they try to make your stay as best as possible for you! Pool is refreshing, multiple banos, various tourist trips available at front desk, so many different nationalities stay here it’s a very interesting place to meet people from all areas of the world! I chose the small private room because I traveled all day and got here the evening of NYE so I just wanted to be able to be alone… the private double bed room is quite nice! (All rooms are shared bath)

Excellent place to meet travelers, beautiful shared areas and nice pool. I got a private room with AC, private bathroom with hot shower, I loved it. 100% recomendable.

Very cool little spot. Easy as to get to on the metro system, plenty food options close by & a bottle store with cheap beer right next door. Happy days. The beds are super comfortable(probably the most comfortable dorm bed I've ever slept in) Unfortunately I stayed here pretty much right after the Covid lock down reopening so there weren't to many traveller's, but I can definitely see there being a very cool vibe when things are normal. Pancakes & coffee for breakfast with a massive bottle of syrup to help yourself. The guy behind reception is friendly as & works his butt off making sure everything is clean, but the best part has to be their lodge puppy. Cute as & always up for a game of fetch.

GOOD: you meet really nice people! the common area is nice, good kitchen, perfect location, very safe neighborhood, rooms are cleaned every day! BAD: unreliable WIFI - keeps disconnecting! price for the dorm is $8.55 online @ hostelworld but they charge you more as a walk in and they make different prices for different guests in the same room - completely ignorant and unfriendly owner! they charge extra when paying with credit card, too many beds in the dorm, tripple bunk bed, no power outlets and no curtains / privacy in the beds, it’s a dangerous and cheap plastic pool, didn’t want to go in once…

Generally, I don't give a negative critique of places I go or have stayed at, but once I went into check it out, there were many European travelers in its courtyard standing and chatting on fake/plastic grass. Once one of their staff showed me a room with a private place, it was dirty. I just walked. Don't recommend it.

Perfect Hostel for a stay in Panama City. The managers take care of you and are so nice. They improve the hostel every day and take care of the small little think. Better than big hostel company. Thanks again Tiphaine for the work you accomplish and Jérémie for be the most funny person of our trip ! Have a good continuation :)

Very friendly team, Tiff, Diana and Nicole are super helpful. You will meet great people here, the hangout area is nice and they have a pool and all. My private room was very nice with a bathroom, I slept like a baby in there. The hostel is in a good safe location, close to supermarkets and restaurants. I would recommend it for sure.

Not much to rate actually. Our reservation got cancelled as soon as we landed in Panama City, because of an double-booking. The hostess found us another hostel though and brought us there. So we're grateful for that.

We really enjoyed our stay at Zebulo! The staff were all fantastic and helped us a lot - providing recommendations and general advice. The hostel is in a safe area and easy to walk around.

I stayed here for a while and had a great time. The owner is very kind and helpful. It’s a great backpacker hostel with everything you need at a great price.

I love Zebulo! My partner and I booked a private room with bathroom and AC and it was great. We were greeted kindly and immediately made comfortable in the common area even though we arrived 3 hours early for our room. The coffee is made fresh for you in the morning with a pancake breakfast. The common area is everything you would want in a hostel and the backyard garden area makes for a great social setting. We met the best travellers staying here, it seems to draw in awesome people. It is next to a store so it’s easy to grab your needs for the stay if you forgot anything. The staff are so so friendly! And Zebula the dog is even friendlier. An extra note: we booked a night at Selina weeks later upon our return to Panama City (Zebulo private rooms were fully booked). I honestly wish we booked the spare beds in the form instead of wasting our money on Selina, it was over rated and loud. Zebulo was quiet and respectful. If I return to Panama City I will definitely book my entire stay here. Thank you!

When refused to lie on a review my hostelworld reservation was retroactively cancelled. Room not ready when I arrived, very empty and dead vibes. Then my room completely flooded, and the staff was helpful to clean, and offered me a partial discount to stay in the room. However they then asked me to lie if my review and not mention the flooding. When I did not agree, they cancelled my hostelworld booking so I couldn't leave any review. Woof, traveling after pandemic is not the same!

Location isn't that great, we spent more money getting taxis to the old part of the city as there is nothing appealing in this district. Room was OK, no windows but beds comfy. Zero atmosphere in the main room, no lights were on for the entire duration of our stay. We opted use their service of "Washing, drying & folding" of laundry. It was returned in a basket, wet & unfolded. We returned and asked for it to be dried and it was then returned partly dried and unfolded. When me mentioned this to the owner she responded in a peculiar and disrespectful manor towards me and her staff stating she is going to fire her staff for the incident, very strange. She also cancelled our reservation on Hostelworld so we could not leave a review, very unprofessional behaviour. The Spanish speaking lady at the desk was lovely.

Great Place!! Very relaxed and it has a pool!! They helped me with towels too and also it had private rooms . Great location . Have a good time here :)

The dorm was overcrowded and smelt horrible. It was extremely hot. All the fans were disconected. The kitchen is all but useless. What a bad vibe. The place smelled like a dirty shoe

Great hosts. Always good guests. Very quiet at night. Close to shopping of all sorts. AC in bedroom is turned off at 7am. Too early. Hard to sleep after. Only one working bathroom is not enough for all guests.

Super close to metro, workers were very friendly and welcoming. Private room was comfortable with good AC.

I stayed there literally a few hours and checked out in the middle of the night because I found bedbugs, I have a video of this for proof (can’t find the button to upload it with my review), after this I packed my things and left to avoid infestation. Also I had to kill not 1 or 2 but 7 mosquitos in my room before trying to get to bed. The room was also dirty and my pillows smelled of damp sweaty socks. If the owner sorts this issue out, it could be a good stay. It’s in a great location, it’s cheap and the staff were really friendly but my personal experience was bad due to the bed bugs. Edit since owners response**: I literally have video proof that the pillows aren’t brand new and that there was a bed bug on the pillow

Nice Staff and it looks welcoming and like a place to relax. The only defects are that the toilets have some lacks and the owner is a little bit too pushy that you should feel free, repeating it always.

They canceled our reservation one day before arrival. Strictly not reccomend!

You are able to cook your own meals it is low, cost and convenient

Private room with AC, comfy bed, chill vibe all around, breakfast + coffee were super nice too and there was even a very sweet doggo 100% recommended

Cheap and cheerful. Super basic backpacker style hostel, so very limited amenities, but a safe friendly clean and comfortable option for a very low price.

Incredibly Hospitable! The front desk greeted us with a smile and cold ice tea, which was very, very welcome, indeed! We ordered $2 Modelos to our private room with shared bathroom. AC worked very well, towels provided. Free Wi-Fi. Relaxing and tropical atmosphere in a safe downtown neighborhood. We will be back 💕

I enjoyed my stay here. Lots of places where you can sit comfortably and relax. I stayed in a private room with shared bath and toilet. Staff is always helpful and accommodated my requests without problems. No complaints! Location is also situated near convenience stores, restaurants, bars. Felt very safe. If youre in the area, go visit Animal Brew and El Rey de Empanadas.

The man at the front was very nice, however the hostel itself smelled bad. Wifi was not good if you’re trying to do any work or book flights. The bedsheets and pillows were low quality as well. Did not sleep well here.

Rally cool place to be in panama city. I enjoyed all the people here and the nice garden with pool. The hostel offers everything you would wish from a hostel. It's especially clean and the stuff is super friendly. I will come back, thank you!
