Overall it's a nice option for your stay in Panama but I think some details can improve, particularly with the service from the staff considering that we are talking about a 5 star hotel. Rooms have a good size and are comfortable and you might get a nice ocean view. Breakfast in the restaurant as well as room service are average and with limited options.

On 8/31-My husband and always celebrate our Wedding Anniversary on Labor Day Weekend. We made it to the Five-year marriage, and we wanted to do something memorable and create memories. We arrived from Miami Florida to the Hilton on 8/31/2023. And before I forget let me give a shout out to the following people, that went above and beyond during our stay there. Let me start off with At the front desk, Ms. Patricia, Kate, Gina and Marcelino & Alexis & let me not forget Ms. Gloria in the breakfast area, the Team were outstanding!!! Their customer eccentricity was on point! Hotel Spectacular, Clean, smelling fresh and clean! Our room was awesome and very clean, with an ocean view!!!! The casino with live bands and gaming area added a nice twist to the hotel. It was the perfect Wedding Anniversary get away. The bar section it never disappoints and the view of Panama City, thru there ceiling to floor windows was AMAZING!!! The pool area we enjoyed so much and relaxed in their sauna. The amazing bar food, friendly and attentive stall made your day even more relaxing. The Hilton NEVER disappoints, and I am so happy that my husband is a Diamond member, and we get to enjoy all the amenities the hotel has to offer. Yes, we will recommend and return ourselves back to the finest!!! Hilton for Life!!

I enjoyed my stay at the Panama City, Panama Hilton. Though the shower could've been hotter, the beds were comfortable, the view of the ocean was fantastic, and the breakfast was amazing! I could've done without the $15 valet parking fee, but the valets did a good job and were quick. The hotel staff were overall friendly and attentive. I had no issues. While it's not my #1 favorite hotel in Panama, I'd stay there again if I found another good deal.

This is a beautiful Hilton hotel, with a nice pool, excellent gym, elegant rooms. We certainly will stay there again. However, we had some issues with cleanliness of the bathroom (hair, fingerprints)...thus cannot give a higher rating. Also, as Diamond members (both wife and I individually), would expect more recognition at check in...at least a simple "thank you for your loyalty"... more typical of what you will receive in the vast majority of Hilton hotels.

Luxious and worth the price. Very attentive staff, good customer service. There is alot to do, on-site restaurants, Casino, bar , salon, spa etc. The room was very spacious clean, no issues. Mini bar was restock daily (charge for the item). They have a good menu in terms of rooms service. I would stay again and recommend you do as well.

Room and location was great with beautiful ocean view. Breakfast was good. Housekeeping was terrible and had to wait everyday for several hours each time requested simple things like dry towel, soap or shampoo. room was not serviced by 4 pm when I get back to my room. Hut tube water was room temperature and not hot at all.

5 stars to DYLAN on reception. His customer service was exceptional and he represented the hotel in a beautiful manner. The food was delicious, the drinks were really fresh and the staff were extremely friendly! Especially towards my children. The breakfast is wonderful, the pool is slightly cold but we’re used to Europe! The breakfast staff were amazing, the best customer service we’ve ever received and we’ve traveled a lot! The master suite is highly recommended for the space, bath and views. The room is quite cold, but because of how humid it is outside it needs to be cold to protect the structure so bring jumpers. The shampoo and conditioner are actually amazing quality! We hope to return.

I am actually staying here right now. And, if I wasn't so exhausted by this experience, I would have simply checked out and gone some place else. I really wanted to love this hotel. But, the lack of communication made that so impossible. We thought we were paying extra for a room that came with a balcony. We realized it did not have a balcony and we requested a room change, for the same room but, with a balcony. I specified that I wanted the same style room, but simply wanted a balcony. Our initial room was an open floor plan with a huge living, dining and kitchen area. Both bathrooms were also fairly large. After making several inquiries (because the hotel staff never followed up), we were told the room was ready. We packed up our stuff and waited to be switched. An hour went by and we heard nothing else from the front desk. I called down to see what the hold up was. I was placed on hold and not a single person ever returned to answer my question. I went back down to the front desk to see what was going on. I was then escorted by the bellman to retrieve our luggage to make the switch. We were not given an opportunity to view the room prior to the switch. We were not told that the layout would be completely different. We ended up in a dirty, smaller room, with a completely different layout, smaller kitchen, smaller dining, smaller baths, smaller bedroom, smaller sofa, with a balcony, and a more obstructed view. And, for that we were charged more! It simply does not make any my sense. I spoke to someone after the switch and was told that they didn't have any rooms with balconies with the same layout as our initial room. We were told that all the rooms with balconies were exactly like the room we had been switched to. I told the staff member that I was very specific in my inquiry and that I wanted to ensure I was going to have the same layout, same floor plan as the room we were being switched from. He told me he would follow up with the person who did the switch, and as had previously been the case, we never heard back from him or management. I'm so over it, at this point. This Hilton experience is just completely unacceptable. We literally went from an open floor plan room, to a room with lots of walls and separation between spaces, with a more obstructed view that was unclean. Twice we asked for management. The first time we were told the manager was in a meeting. The second time we were not told anything. They simply did not call the manager. Just overall not a good experience. And, I'm truly disappointed.

Extremely well laid out and settling. The food is fabulous. Casino is popular. Close to Hard Rock Cafe. Spacious rooms. Perfect views. Staff is hard working and attentive. If you like margaritas, get one. It is the best I have had as far as I can recall. Note about the elevators: there are two sets. One for the rooms and one for general access to lobby, etc. Breakfast until 10:30 and it is a smorgasbord! I don’t have much experience with other hotels in this city, but I would definitely recommend this one.

The lobby smells amazing so we expected the rooms and hallways to smell the same. The hotel has a mold or mildew smell. The sink and shower had mold. We showed the housekeeper and she said they need to add silicon. We changed rooms because we could no longer bare the unpleasant smell that made our breathing very difficult. We spent the whole night tossing and turning. We arrived at the new room and it smelt amazing on the surface like maintenance was sent in prior to mask the scent. As soon as we turned on the AC the smell engulfed the room. If you have asthma this isn't the hotel for you. The front desk supervisor, Carla acted as this was only our problem and she was to busy to show any compassion or assist in this matter.

Chef Erick cooked the fish we caught and he did an amazing job. The pictures do not do it justice. The ceviche was amazing. The platter was about 3 feet wide. There was a lot of love in that meal. The experience made our whole trip. The entire team did an awesome job. This was in the Lobby2.

We got the executive suite. It was really nice. The views were amazing and the price wasn't too bad for one week. The room, however, could have used a touch-up here and there. The room was very large and had plenty of space for the kids to play.

Room 1821. Suite with separate bedroom, living room can watch TV without disrupting bedroom. Full size fridge was great, as great grocery store next door though a parking garage. 2 bathrooms very convenient! Love the view of the pool and city.

This hotel has become my go-to place whenever I visit Panama City. The location is perfect - it's conveniently situated in the heart of the city, making it easy for me to explore all the amazing sights and sounds that Panama has to offer. One of the things I love about this hotel is the amazing amenities. The pool is simply stunning and a great place to relax and unwind after a busy day. There's also a bar near the pool where you can enjoy a drink or two. The staff at the Hilton Hotel Panama is professional and friendly, which is something I appreciate a lot. They are always ready to help and make sure that I have a comfortable stay. I posted two room walkthrough videos with this review. The one that starts with the office desk is the "1 King Bed Jr Suite Executive Ocean View" and the other video with the office desk at the end is the "1 King Bed City View". Both rooms were spacious, luxurious, and clean, and I was thoroughly impressed with the room layout. The rooms at this hotel are well-appointed with all the amenities I need to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. I particularly love the clean and modern decor, which adds a touch of sophistication to my stay. Overall, I would highly recommend the Hilton Hotel Panama to anyone visiting Panama City. This hotel truly offers the best of both worlds - a perfect location, fantastic amenities, professional staff and luxurious rooms. If you're looking for a place to stay in Panama City, this is the place to be!

Very very good property to stay, The location is excellent The entrance greets you with a beautiful perfume which is refreshing. The staff are very warm and accommodating. The cafe breakfast spread is mediocre though, They can add some more variety to the buffet, besides eggs and chicken. The sofas in the buffet needs cleaning for sure. The only drawback is lack of good restaurants in the hotel But definitely recommend the stay

This is more like a money hungry hotel. Even though the room was absolutely stunning - specious and with a nice view, I had three main negative experiences: Room was not cleaned every day. Staff were more concerned whether consumption from the minibar happened, cleaning the room was secondary. Breakfast: you get only filtered coffee. You must pay for espresso during breakfast on top to what you’ve already paid for. An absolute no-go in a Hilton. Room service: the staff cheated on the price of an item I ordered. When I’ve made clear that they are overcharging not even an apology was expressed. Lastly, I didn’t have a feeling that you get any benefits of being an Honors member. Usually, Hilton provides some discounts for room service items but nothing here.

During our five-night stay at the Hilton Panama, we encountered some unfortunate issues that affected our overall experience. While the hotel itself was decent and the morning breakfast was enjoyable, the repeated water leakage incidents in our rooms were a major inconvenience that left us feeling exhausted and frustrated. Upon arriving at our room, we discovered a water leakage issue and promptly contacted the help desk. They provided us with another room, hoping to resolve the problem. However, to our disappointment, we encountered the same issue again—water leakage. Eventually, the hotel staff offered us a room with a balcony, which thankfully did not have any leakage problems. Dealing with the water leakage incidents was not only time-consuming but also added unnecessary stress to our stay. As weary travelers after a long flight, having to relocate rooms and repack our luggage was an additional burden we did not anticipate. It would have been much more convenient and accommodating if the hotel had ensured that the initial room assigned to us was in proper condition. On a positive note, we found the morning breakfast at the hotel to be quite good, providing a satisfying start to our day. Additionally, the overall ambiance and facilities of the Hilton Panama were satisfactory. Considering the inconveniences we faced, we believe some form of compensation or refund would have been appropriate as a gesture of goodwill. Addressing the issues promptly and providing a fair resolution would have greatly improved our perception of the hotel's customer service. In summary, our stay at the Hilton Panama was a mixed experience. While the hotel itself was decent and the morning breakfast was enjoyable, the recurring water leakage incidents were highly inconvenient and detracted from our overall satisfaction. We hope that the hotel takes steps to address these issues promptly and considers compensating guests who experience such inconveniences to ensure a more positive and hassle-free stay.

Loved the room. Super spacious and huge glass bathroom. Large desk. BUT antiquated television system with little US content for those who in room spend large amounts of time in room. Best, food at pool Mediterranean restaurant, at least the salad. Breakfast is costly, try to get it with room rate.

The views from my room were absolutely amazing 😍. The service and food were exceptional. My only reason for the 4 stars was based on the water in the showers being lukewarm. This was a major complaint from all of my group members. Maybe there was a reason for it, but it made the shower experience an not so pleasant one. I would definitely be back however and would recommend others to stay here as well.

$30 taxi ride from airport. Lots of restaurants nearby, great inexpensive breakfast buffet, and a casino downstairs open every night till about 1:30 am. Live music on weekends and live poker most nights. Watch out though, every time you cash in ticket from a machine or trade in chips 5 percent tax is deducted whether you won or lost so better to hold on to those cash tickets and chips till you are really ready to go or you are paying tax over and over again on the same money.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at both the Waldorf Astoria and Hilton in Panama City, with both hotels priced at 40,000p per night for a two-night stay. My experiences at these two establishments were quite contrasting. At the Waldorf Astoria, I was disappointed by the lack of Diamond recognition and encountered rude front desk staff. I arrived early at 11:00am and was made to wait a lengthy 2,5 hours in the lobby without being offered water or even the WiFi code. I received no upgrade, even though it seemed they had availability for higher room categories. There was no welcome letter, and the breakfast, held in a ballroom, was quite basic for being a Waldorf. On the other hand, my experience at the Hilton was much more positive. They proactively contacted me the day before to ascertain my preferences, and I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a Junior Suite with a stunning sea view. Early check-in and late check-out were accommodated without any issues, and I was welcomed with a drink while a manager inspected the room before releasing it to me. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout my stay, and the breakfast offered a wide variety, including a juice bar. Additionally, when comparing room service experiences, Hilton outperformed Waldorf Astoria with larger, better-decorated, and tastier food at a more affordable price. In conclusion, avoid Waldorf and go for Hilton. Based on my experience, it would be more fitting for Waldorf to be rebranded as a DoubleTree. I have conveyed my detailed feedback to the management and they did not even bother to response.

Centrally located, 20 mins from the airport. Casino at the bottom . Foodie grocery store behind the hotel . Can get crowded with meetings and cruise go-ers. Room and common areas are clean but you can see the wear and tear like chipped walls , stained curtains , spotty carpets. Room service needs better options and is fairly affordable.

Give the spa a skip. They do not have experienced therapists. I paid 125 for a massage that left me feeling more stressed than when I went in.

It is a business area nothing much to do around. Maybe go to al basha or aljeandro nearby or you can go to in-house casino. 13 usd charge for a ltr of water its ridiculous. Are they getting the water from fiji itself? I don't see the point of not giving complimentary water in the room. Other than that, everything's fantastic, the room are spacious and staff is friendly and helpful.

With my experience as a guest of hotels in several Latin American countries, I must highlight the great human warmth, understanding and attention of the HILTON PANAMA staff. Its people make a big difference, above and beyond its very good facilities.

Dishonest. I booked a room here for a week, and when I showed up they told me they had cancelled my reservation and made me book again at a higher price while I was standing at reception. They then charged me for 2 reservations, the one I made that they cancelled without notifying me and the second one they made me make because they cancelled my reservation. Besides that, the breakfast food is awful, the elevators are frequently out of service and the air conditioning in the room leaks all over the floor and makes loud dripping sounds all night, making it impossible to sleep. I expect way better from Hilton.

  • 3/5 Annie M D. 4 months ago on Google
Room was clean and air-conditioned, but the amenities are minimal. The lack of complimentary water is a downfall in a tropical country with hot and humid climate. A bottle of water charged at $12.75, and paid for at $13 (the reception did not give exact change) is absurd. Visiting Panama City for a first time, I had no idea that water can be bought from a convenience shop 5 min. walk from the hotel for $2.0 and so I had to put up with this rip-off. The only free amenity was a pod of weak coffee, but sadly, nothing to stir the sugar with, so I had to use my pen. In Hilton! Breakfast was another disappointment with minimal choice, charged at $28. I moved few doors down to Le Meridien, and had a better room rate, free water, absolutely gorgeous breakfast (cheaper) and, overall, much better stay. Sorry, Hilton, but not all is about prophits, it is the customer satisfaction that keeps the business going. I won't be visiting any time soon, in Panama or any of the multiple countries I travel to.

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is fabulous, lots to choose from. My only issue is that the pool water is too cold . It's a lovely pool, it would be nice to spend time in it with children.

  • 3/5 Jonathan P. 2 years ago on Google
The hotel is nice and the view of the sea is quite lovely. The following issues stuck out to me as below average for an otherwise nice hotel: - The water temperature in the shower gets lukewarm at best. - The staff at Bar Blue couldn't find wine and tried pouring the last bit of two bottles into a glass. Then they found another bottle of wine, but would only sell the whole bottle. - There was juice and water by the reception desk, but it was apparently not for guests. One of the staff just repeatedly said "excuse me, excuse me" without any explanation when I tried to pour a drink. The most important thing to know (if, like me you like to have coffee in the morning) is that there are no options to get coffee anywhere around here before 7. The hotel has a coffee shop, but it isn't open (temporarily closed maybe) and the main restaurant for breakfast isn't open and won't just brew a cup to go. The hotel could make a lot of people happy at a pretty low cost by simply providing coffee in the lobby or at least providing a place for people to buy some before 7.

Hilton Panamá is a great place to stay. The location is not far from the Tocumen Airport or many tourist attractions! The staff are very nice! The pool and pool bar was very relaxing and enjoyable. The room service food is good. We chose to do a breakfast delivery so we could sleep in a bit. It was as if we were at a really nice restaurant. The hotel is beautiful and emaculate. Our room had a gorgeous "city" view. We could see everything including a view of the water! Everyone was very helpful and accommodating to ALL guests throughoutour stay. I will stay here again.

Staff are really friendly I felt lucky to stay in this beautiful Ocean View room. The view are so beautiful that make me dont want to leave the room at all. The room are big, fitness center are big with lots of work out equipment and bed are so comfortable and I just want to sleep all the time. The property across from the bayside where peoples jogging, cycling, running and it next to the casino as well. I would love to stay at this property again if I come back to Panama City in the future and recommend this to everyone who like to have a comfortable place to stay.

The staff was excellent. They were very friendly and helpful. The hotel room, however, was not what we expected from a Hilton Hotel. The toilet seat in our bathroom was falling off, the bathroom mirror frame had not been cleaned for a very long time, the carpet had not been vacuumed, and one morning we awoke to a cockroach crawling across our bathroom sink. The location was good with beautiful views, but the room cleanliness was really lacking. The pool staff was excellent! The spa staff was also excellent!

We had a partial ocean view king room on the 19th floor. Room was very spacious; the bathroom felt very luxurious with a sit down vanity and bench along with a rain shower head in the shower...delightful! The in-room coffee amenity could have been better, there was just one individual coffee pod which made a weak coffee for two. Strangely, there was no bottled water in the room. A sweet little gift shop is located near the main elevators used to get to the rooms. They did have sunscreen in the event you forgot to pack some.

My husband and I were very impressed with the Hilton Panama. Five stars to everything! The staff was very friendly, hospitable, and spoke English which was nice as an American. Our room was exceptionally nice and clean. We ate at the restaurant, Saquella, for dinner and the ambiance was beautiful and the food was amazing. Although we didn’t workout on this trip, we walked past the fitness room and they had an amazing facility. We’d recommend this hotel to everyone!

Exceptionally clean, top notch hospitality, the restaurant by the pool, Saquella Express Club has a more than adequate menu. Must have patience with language barrier for secondary staff if you don't speak Spanish. Would come back if I didn't want to try other places.

I have been to many hotels. This is by far the best hotel i have ever been to. Staff is really welcoming and actually shows concern about your issues. Food is top notch. Service is great. And the view is breath taking. Although the rooms were a little on the expensive side, it's worth every penny. Hilton panama city is the best hotel you can stay at in panama city. 10 out of 5.

The Hotel was fine. Breakfast was great and well worth the upgrade. What I didn't like was booking tours from the hotel. This Hotel will charge at least 100 % over price. Example: Booking Monkey Island tour, they charge $130.00 per person. But when you sign into the Internet, Hilton own web page has tours for the same designation is $150.00 per couple. What a difference. Another example is visiting the Panama Canal. What we did is take an Uber to the canal that only cost $6.00 for the ride, pay admission of $17.50 and that's it. Booking through Hilton you get charged $85.00 per person. This is how Hilton looks at their guest, totally way off the scale. I am very surprise at Hilton. Knowing this in advance will guide you how to book tours, not from Hilton. PS, Please don't respond with your short cut & paste answers

We stayed here in October of 2022 and had a great experience. The hotel is in a good location with things that are walkable. The front desk, bar, restaurant, and housekeeping staff were very nice and enjoyable to interact with. Our room was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. I requested an extra blanket prior to check-in and it was waiting in the room for us. One of the best things about the hotel was the view of the water from many vantage points around the property.

The Hilton in Panama City was simply one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. As diamond members, and my husband's birthday, they upgraded us to a king suite! And, they gave us fun drink coupons to use during our stay. They sent a dessert to the room later for my husband's birthday. The room was clean, the ocean and city views were spectacular, and the service was second-to-none. They even remembered us when we came back 6 days later before flying back home to the US. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

We will definitely be back!! We can't wait to see there new opening of the dinner theater the only place like it in Panama and a must see!! You have to stay at this property when in Panama. You won't be disappointed!!!

Great views! Certainly better than what I expected. And the staff are incredibly accommodating - especially since they get a lot of customers with special needs (they have a partnership with a stem cell clinic). The rooms were spacious but they seriously need to upgrade their soundproofing. Some of these special-needs kids are tired from flying halfway around the world, scared from their visit to the stem cell clinic, or even hurting from the multiple injections - it's understandable when they end up crying in their rooms. As such, some other guests end up complaining because of the noise. Both parties have their points, and it's the hotel's responsibility to improve their facilities to manage these needs.

This place treats you like cattle! They are understaffed and over booked. You get faster service at McDonalds! Waited 45 minutes in line to check in,if you are looking for the buffet plan stay you will love it. If you are thinking customer service go somewhere else!

What is super nice hotel with very friendly staff. The room was simply immaculate well appointed and very roomy. You will not be disappointed with this hotel in the least. The concierge‘s breakfast was fantastic as well. There is an adjacent casino for those of you interested in late night activities which looked very busy and fun.

Excellent service. We were greeted by Anna who was very professional and friendly. She thanked us for being Diamond members and gave us a room upgrade. The room was very beautiful and faced the ocean. The views were amazing. Very clean room, comfortable bed. We came to watch the NYE fireworks and the view was perfect! Great breakfast with excellent service (had at least five cups of coffee). Excellent location. Walking distance to everything. I would definitely recommend staying at this Hilton.

Stayed here for two nights pre-cruise via a Norwegian Cruise Line booking and after our 9-day cruise we stayed here for another three nights. We were very impressed with the hotel and would definitely stay here again. Hotel is beautiful with very spacious common areas (lobby, main restaurant, pool restaurant, and fitness center). Nice amenities such as rooftop pool and bar, fitness area, spa and salon. We loved our rooms-they were large and had wonderful views of the bay. We had the breakfast buffet included in our stays and it was a fantastic buffet. It had everything from fresh fruit, pastries, egg-making chef station to a smoothie bar. We ate dinner in the pool restaurant one night and the pasta dishes were delicious. All of the staff we met were very welcoming and helpful. The location is also very good.

I have been staying at this hotel for the last 3 years during the winter months. It has excellent accommodation and staff are very pleasant and accommodating. This is my go to hotel in Panama City. The breakfast has lots of variety’s with the pool bar having the best drinks.
