I
was
in
transit
from
Costa
Rica
to
Germany
and
spent
one
night
in
Panama.
I
waited
from
5
a.m.
in
the
hostel
because
I
was
not
allowed
into
the
room
(although
there
were
some
free).
The
two
ladies
were
super
nice
and
helped
me
scan
the
check-in
and
told
me
I
can
use
everything
in
the
hostel,
but
not
the
room.
But
then
at
10:00
a.m.
I
got
a
message
from
the
owner
that
I
should
pay
5
dollars
for
staying
in
the
common
area
of
the
hostel
and
that
the
two
ladies
were
not
a
receptionist
and
therefore
did
not
know
that.
I
refused
to
pay
(sorry:
but
since
when
do
I
pay
admission
to
a
hotel
without
using
the
room?
If
I
would
know
that
I
would
say
no
and
go
back
to
wait
in
my
airconditioned
waiting
area
at
the
bus
station
with
wifi).
When
I
met
him
in
person
in
the
afternoon,
he
refused
to
let
me
into
the
room
without
me
paying
the
5
euros
first.
I
refused
to
pay.
Then
he
cancelled
my
room
(unfortunately
it
took
2
hours
to
get
through)
and
I
moved
to
the
one
door
away
neighbouring
hostel,
where
I
had
an
air-conditioned
capsule
bed
for
3
euros
cheaper.
There
was
a
better
maintained
pool,
not
so
many
mosquitoes
and
a
huge
bathtub
in
the
bathroom.
In
any
case,
a
good
swap.
Actually,
I
wanted
to
relax
in
the
pool
that
day
before
my
onward
journey,
but
the
pool
at
the
Cultura-Humana
was
so
unappetising
and
everything
there
was
full
of
mosquitoes
that
I
lost
interest.
