The host was very helpful and spoke good English. She took me around and showed me the facilities. I told her it was just me but the only private room they had available was a family room. She worked out a good deal for me and I reserved for two nights. She recommended the restaurant across the street where I had an outstanding breakfast for about $3. I had something pop up with an unexpected phone call so I wasn't able to stay. I went back cancel my reservation but I intend to return and stay here when I come back to the city.

Alba and her family are the sweetest folks. They were extremely hospitable, offered me travel advice, and even held onto my luggage for a couple days while I went on an excursion. Highly recommend staying here! I’ll be back :)

We had a lovely trip to Panamá House Bed and Breakfast! Such a great host. We really enjoyed our glamping room and the communal spaces. They offer a clothes washing service which is excellent too. It’s in a slightly quieter area but it’s not far to get into busier areas. The parrots are a little noisy but it didn’t really bother us :)

Dorm rooms are okay but be aware that they have 1 bed in the dorm room that is directly below the air conditioning unit, which ended up making me sick and ruined my trip to Panama. Couldn't sleep for 2 nights in a row, which defeats the purpose of booking a room here.

Solid location run by a wonderful family. We stayed here our first night arriving and Panama City and it was a nice little spot. The rooms are basic but have Ac, there is a pool table (billiards table) court yard and a nice front porch to sit on. If your looking to support local folks, don't need all the bells and whistles and want a fair priced location this might be the spot for you.

Homey place. reminded me of the houses of my childhood days. Host is always helpful and friendly. Bathrooms are clean. Airconditioned rooms. Delish and affordable Colombian resto just across the street. I don't mind the mosquitoes, it's the tropics. I stayed at a different hostel in Panama City prior to my trip to San Blas, mosquitoes were there too so I wouldnt count that against them. Bug sprays are available for use in the yard. Enjoy!

You get what you pay for. The place has a little smell but it's was a great place to spend the night. There's a food place right across the road. The host- Alva/Alba was the sweetest!!!! I didn't get the name of the other lady but she was very accommodating and made sure everything was in order for me. The bathroom was huge. Everything was clean. Breakfast was an array of tea options plus bread that you could toasts and add butter. It's withing walking distance of the Metro station I didn't hear the parrots in the night but they were very noisy in the morning. I would definitely stay there again. It’s a great hostel with amazing people who try to help you always. They even gave me their private mattress to make a workout. Clean, airconditioned during the night, nice dorm, billiard, kitchen for use, free drinking water and ice cubes. The price is amazing and subway close and super easy (and cheap) to use. Highly recommended.

Panama House is a mainstay for me when I come to Panama. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well-priced and clean, and have air conditioning which is very nice in the Panama heat. The location is ideal as it is located in the heart of the city, near many restaurants and stores.

Loved staying here. Staff were super friendly. They have a self serve kitchen as well and a nice outdoor patio type area in the back. There a parrit to that likes to greet back there. The beds were comfortable, showers were great as well. It was all very clean and well maintained. Would definitely go back. Theres also a restaurant right across the street. Great food and very convenient.

Excellent, central location with a friendly staff. The rooms are spacious, and the courtyard is an amazing retreat--complete with pool table, lush foliage, and a talking macaw.

The dorm is quite spacious, the shared spaces are good, a nice comfy couch to relax on, and the owners are super nice and helpful.

We had some lovely days at this place. The host and the people working there are attentive, kind and helpful. If I come back to Panama City one day, this will be the stay, definitely. Thanks for having us

This place is a home away from home. My mother and I came to Panama with heavy hearts to lay my uncle to rest after his passing. Every thing happened so fast, we got the news and rushed to get to Panama, to find a place to stay. Our stay here was excellent, Alva and Oliva were very attentive to our needs and welcoming. This is a family based, locally owned hotel. My mother and I knew how important it was to give back to the community that we stayed in, and we were happy to do it here. If anyone is looking for a home away from home, please choose Panama House Bed & Breakfast!

Charming, rustic, exceedingly friendly and welcoming PAnama House is one of those small, family-run guest houses you find in larger cities now and again. Featuring a colorful, eclectic decor, the property consists of a small number of private rooms, as well as a larger dorm/hostel section. Although rooms are small, the beds are comfortable and everything is extremely clearn. If you're looking for an off-beat base to explore Panama City from, this is an excellent contender.

Great location, lots of hot water, good staff, good wifi, clean, nice neighborhood, lots of nearby services. Not the best parking for motorcycle.

I chose Panama House Bed and Breakfast because the price was right. They had great reviews too. But, when I arrived and met Jose it just got better. He was so nice and welcoming it made me want to stay longer. This is a piece of paradise in the middle of the city. Don't let the surrounding places chase you away. Once you walk through the front door you enter another place. The rooms are clean and all have AC blew so cold I turned mine up to sleep. There is a great supermercado just three blocks away where you can buy food or several places to eat within walking distance.

Had a lovely stay here! The family that runs the hostel is so nice, and the place has such a welcoming vibe to it. The food is good, breakfast is tasty and free. Lunch and Dinner are quite cheap, around 4-5$ and some of the meals were the best food I ended up having in the city. Bed was comfortable and AC worked well.

They have extremely friendly service in both Spanish and English. The food was excellent with good taste. I enjoyed my room and the outdoor backyard area was very well set up.

The true definition home away from home. Alva and Popo together with their two daughters welcome you to their home and make your have the most memorable stay. Grandma visits quite often and always lovely to chat with and spend an evening away with. We received so much love here for over three months that our departure was the most tearful and emotional departure in our 20 months of travel. Perfect place for families and a homely feel. Their kids are always welcoming mates for games. Their lovely dog pets have been an adventure to many families . Unfortunately they lost Rio (pictured) if you ever come across him please report to the police. He says hello - Hola to everyone. One loving parrot.

Its very basic, the service wasn't great I don't know if it's because of the Covid19. But the outside of the back is relaxing to me.

Private room is very simple but honestly has all you could need, except a private bathroom. Now, the area at the bottom is wide, excellent to enjoy and spend the night with friends.
