The hostel was relatively clean and enjoyable, however be careful about the price asked when you arrive. The guy told us the double private room was 45 USD while on every website that exact same room goes for just 30. We didn't realize that until we left, and when doing the check out none of the credit cards we used were working (mastercard or visa) even local credit cards didn't work, forcing us to pay by cash, and we didn't receive any receipt. Please check pricing before going.

This place is absolutely fantastic. Its located conveniently, just 3 minutes from where the boats arrive. Also it is not on the main street but a few meters back into the forest which makes it feel much more remote. The house is designed like a cozy hideaway with plenty of hammocks, sofas and nice chairs. It is made and maintained with a lot of love for art and details. We booked the cabine with garden view for three nights which was really nice and cozy. The kitchen has all utilities for cooking and storing food. The hosts are extremely kind people. Justina helped us out with absolutely everything we needed including how to get to the beach, where to get gorceries, where to eat, how to hike to a nice observation point, and finally how to get from the island to our next stop back on the main land. I recommend this place to anyone. Bring mosquito repellent :)

The hostel is something very special. But the best is the people who work there. Justina helped us with everything, tours, transportation and even medication. I watched football with Danny. By the way, he makes very nice bracelets. In the evening they invited us to a barbecue and rum. Thanks a lot for everything!

Lovely hostel, with amazing owners, and a wonderful atmosphere. It feels like living in a big family. You can play table-tennis, domino or Sapo (a Columbian game) or just chill in the hammocks. The hostel perfectly fits onto this calm and chill island and fulfills all needs. Just bring enough food, but not because of the hostel, just because of the supply on the island in general.

Sadly we didn‘t stay in Justinas hostel, but we met her on our way to Isla Grande. She was very helpful and organized a lot of things for us. Next time we defintly stay there. Muchas Gracias!

Macondo is a very charming place perfectly situated in the lush jungle just off the main walkway. Stayed there for a week and loved it. Very clean, quiet and a big kitchen with all you need. Justina is a fantastic host and super helpful with everything. Muchas gracias!

It was really good hostel, personnel was nice and helpful. They offered us a day trip to the other islands, I think for the price (30$ pp) it wasn't the best, but it was good.

10/10 Hostel, would recommend, and stay again.

The best place to stay on Isla Grande! Justine is an exceptional host, she created an amazing place in the middle of the jungle. We felt great there, help is provided with everything that is needed, simply perfect. Cheers!
