On
our
one
week
vacation
in
Panama,
three
days
was
at
Hotel
Santa
Catalina.
PROS:
-
We
are
vegan
and
met
one
of
the
owners
who
stated
she
is
dairy
free.
She
was
very
nice,
and
accommodating
to
our
lifestyle.
She
definitely
made
my
experience
top
notch.
-
The
views
are
beautiful.
I
learned
that
Santa
Catalina
is
a
surfing
destination
and
I
could
see
why.
Sitting
on
the
patio
at
the
restaurant
was
so
beautiful,
especially
at
sundown.
-
We
took
a
boat
ride
to
Coiba
island,
and
this
hotel
was
within
a
four
minute
drive
of
where
we
met
our
tour
guide.
-
I
forgot
to
bring
my
rash
guard
with
me
on
my
trip,
and
was
so
thankful
they
had
a
surf
shop
at
the
hotel
so
I
could
purchase
one.
-
Next
to
the
pool
is
a
little
pathway
to
the
ocean.
-
Although
I
personally
didn’t
go
in
the
pool,
it
was
a
beautiful
pool
and
it
looked
fun.
CONS:
-
The
air
conditioner
even
when
off
kept
running.
It
was
freezing
in
the
room,
and
the
blankets
weren’t
thick
so
we
used
beach
towels
as
added
comfort.
I
really
loved
the
atmosphere
of
this
hotel,
it
wasn’t
too
big
to
feel
crowded.
It
was
very
quaint.
I
did
find
three
crabs
in
our
room
the
morning
that
we
were
leaving,
but
the
owner
even
said
they
can
get
in.
I
didn’t
feel
scared,
as
I
knew
they
couldn’t
climb
but
I
wanted
to
watch
out
for
my
toes.
This
isn’t
about
hotel
Santa
Catalina,
but
to
whoever
reads
this,
be
aware
the
drive
in
is
bumpy.
We
were
driving
under
the
speed
limit,
and
still
trying
to
avoid
hitting
cows,
dogs
and
horses.
It
is
recommended
to
use
the
restroom
and
get
gas
in
Santiago,
as
there
are
no
gas
stations
from
that
point
on
(it
was
about
a
2
hour
drive
if
I
recall
correctly).
