I really loved my experience here. I was nervous considering all the other reviews but this resort really exceeded my expectations. Few things to note 1. Customer service was phenomenal. The bartender at the pool bar was the hardest working man i swear ! No matter if it was the front desk staff or a general employee walking the grounds they checked in asking if we wanted drinks or needed anything at all. 2. Their was plenty to do on the resort from the classes to the huge pool area and even a cute little movie room 3. I loved the fact the resort was tucked away from the busy city but just close enough to do any excursions 4. The food wasn’t that plentiful at the buffet but it was tasty ! A lot more tasty than the restaurants actually . The restaurants food tasted frozen to say the least. 5. The grounds were cleaned constantly throughout the day. 6. Our massages were Amazing !!!! I would go back just for that. 7. The room was nice , great view , and just enough space for us. The mini bar wasn’t luxury by far but they tried ! Overall , this was a great stay and I will definitely be back whether just as a couple again or with my family. Be mindful this is not an adults only resort .

Look.. anyone who gave this place a good review hasn’t been to a good resort. Period. If u look at things from far away it doesn’t seem bad, but if details matter here’s the TRUTH: 1. The rooms are DIRTY. I changed rooms and the second one was no better. Stains and questionable goo everywhere. Plus, dead roaches. It’s like the tried to turn a motel room into a resort style room. Too many obvious strands of hair from previous guests all over the bathroom. 2. The pool area is okay, not big but not small. No music played no poolside entertainment. The pool bartenders were nice but alcohol is limited. Do not expect anything premium. 3. It’s true, they try to trick you into signing up for membership by disguising it as a one time opportunity for discounted spa visits. 4. The entire place is really quiet, if that’s your vibe then fine, but it’s like an awkward kind of quiet where you wonder if there’s anyone even around. 5. The food options are super repetitive and limited. It all reminds me of food you would get at a cheap 1-night hotel. The seafood dinner restaurant is the only thing I looked forward to. Portions are very small there but at least it tasted good. 6. There is no beach.. there’s just hard sand and muddy green water. 7. The grounds need better taking care of. There’s visible mold and old cracking paint all over. There were some pool chairs that were left dirty overnight (food and dirt). Can really be an eyesore. 8. There are some things to do as far as entertainment: archery, volleyball, pool table. 9. Bugs .. a lot of them. Try not to bring roaches back home. 10. Just go somewhere else.

I have to say, there were a few employees that were amazing. I made sure to tip them. I also, got a great room right by the lobby. However, the overall trip was not worth the money. I happened to have a good time because I was with company. But there were bed bugs, lack of towels, and everything was closed from 1am-6:30am?? The food was bad. The only decent food was the fried fish at the seaside grill. The drinks were horrible, and tasted poor. Even the premium lounge was only slightly better. The club/disco was a joke. No one was dancing. I had to leave the hotel to eat good food. Also, I left my charger by the bar and 5 minutes later it was gone. Just had to spend $50 on a new Fast Charger. No one even checked the cameras even after 3 days of me looking. The beach was very rocky and my friends got cut. So if beaches are your favorite thing, forget it. The pool is nice, and has a nice view so that was fine. Listen, if you HAVE to go. Just go. If you can go anywhere else, take that chance. Very boring and was only fun because I was drunk off bad alcohol.

Little hard to write, as staff very nice. But I will not return, nor will I book with Dreams property in the future. Pool bar covered with bees. Pool dirty, was never shocked or chlorinated while there. Service god awful. Staff very nice and friendly, but overall service was very poor. Main issue was housekeeping. They care more about selling memberships than taking care of guests. For four days asked for laundry service, never happened. Medical assistant is excellent. Room service takes hours. Restaurants never change menu. Property nice, but a bit out dated. Can not recommend. Wish I could, because it has potential.

It was a fantastic getaway for the day. We did a day pass and it was wonderful. There were a lot of children we didn't know would be there. We found an area far away where it was peaceful. However, we found the adult only area and will do that next time. I was amazed at everything the day pass includes. I was also disappointed at how many rocks are on the beach. The water was actually very warm but not many people in it due to the amount of rocks. I didn't get into the pool because it wasn't the cleanest for my standards. Overall, the service was excellent from the entire staff and the food was delicious. Excellent alcoholic drinks too. Will definitely be spending more time here in the adult only area.

This place is a dump, rooms are not clean and mold in showers, floors disgusting, house keeping never comes to bring towels. There are so many things broken around the pool, mold, and lots of lack of facility care from the broken fountains to broken cement at walkways I’ve tripped so many times. Food is just okay, nothing to rave about. I think this place was probably amazing at one point. Was told the hotel has changed hands 3 times in last 10 years.

Beautiful grounds......The beach is okay, but dirty....pools are inviting, but packed with young kids that are generally undisciplined by their parents. The staff is amazing, friendly and helpful. There are 3 main dining areas. The buffet breakfast is adequate but redundant, lunch is okay, and dinners are pretty good at the grill area, but same old, same old at the others. Drinks at the various service areas are watery, weak, and unappealing. The bartenders were amateur, and truly bothered by our orders. They lavish you with amenities if you're willing to endure a 'presentation' for future investments or commitments. Our scheduled pick-up at the airport never showed, and the verbal contract with the shuttle service (when we went into town) never worked out. We resorted to Uber, which was way more reliable and half the cost. Room service was okay..... never got a bath mat and towels unless we called room service, and they asked us several times if they could rejuvenate the room while we were there. I would have to say that this stay was not a good value. On our flight back to the U.S. we bumped into and chatted with a couple that taught yoga at the resort. My wife and I practice yoga. We had no idea that was going on.....no surprise there.......

I purchased 2 weeks through the resort. They didn't offer insurance. 2 weeks before the trip was supposed to start, my husband hurt his lower back which resulted in a pinched sciatic nerve and resulted in extreme pain and not being able to walk. The resort would not let me reschedule to a later date and would not refund my money - NO EXCEPTIONS. Not very customer friendly. We were out the 2 weeks paid for the resort.

The place is a little dated, but clean and the staff are incredible. Everyone has been wonderful! Loads of activities for a smaller resort, and while there were less options for meals, the food was delicious. The cafe made excellent Americanos, and they opened quite early in the morning! We went on a few excursions and had a great time. We went in mid October which is slightly rainy but the days were great the majority of the times.

(Translated by Google) It is supposedly a beach resort, but they do not let you enter to dine in the restaurants because you are not formally dressed in a long shirt, pants and shoes. I guess it's going to eat, no one is going to see your feet under the table. Nobody on a Sunday holiday is going to carry formal clothes when they are going to relax and get out of the routine. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT ... They go the same way as the Intercontinental that was there ...

Nice staff, but they aren’t all inclusive resort ready. Just to give an idea of the type of service we received…my picture is the plate I received for breakfast using room service. Food and drink choices are definitely struggling here. Don’t waste your money at this place. Go stay downtown or Old Town.

Resort is good, rooms were clean. Services were good people were great. Beach was alright with a big tide and mostly rocky bottom. Pools were good. Food was good but simple. Drinks were good but had to wait till 10 to get service not 24 hr . Ride from airport was 3 hours due to rush hour very disappointing. Resort seemed short staffed from covid so tolerance was needed. Entertainment was lack not much to do at night. A need of umbrella as we all scrambled for the little shade offered by trees. Very helpful with my wife that had a reaction to the sun and her face blew up . Overall nice quiet Resort for sun lovers.

Ok things for my trip kinda got messed up to the point where I HAD to stay on the resort basically the whole time I was there so I can with a whole heart give a honest review. The place is beautiful the staff is VERY friendly and accommodating. I had preferred club so I received everything that the club offered. They had some activities but not too many I feel like that could improve. The drinks were awesome cause we would go to the preferred club lounge and get a Sanchez surprise everyday. The food was so so....but the 24 hour room service food was the best thing there. The breakfast buffet was the same thing everyday. They can improve on that. The food through the day could use more seasoning and love. The bugs was probably the only thing I really hated there, but in their defense they do leave you a card in your bathroom warning you of the bugs. Yeah they could use a upgrade in the key card thing but I feel like it was nice. I enjoyed myself

Wonderful 10 days of sun and fun. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room had fabulous ocean view, so large and comfy. The food was fantastic. We ate like royalty the entire stay. So impressed by the quality, variety, taste and presentation of each meal. Gourmet chef in each location. Wonderful wine. Great location with large beach, several pools. Highly recommend if you want a great place to "beach it". Panama is terrific!

Let's start with room check in was fine first day then it start i had to call for towels run out of toilet paper next i paid for premium services because am on vacation i work a little extra hours to pay for what I want nothing, the food for 5 days was the same thing no variety you could tell that the staff was on training or just started. there was no activity to be done if you need to just relax without doing or seeing a thing then this would be the place oh they let you know that there is no smoking i was so happy about that but there were some who think that does not goes for them the reason i choose dreams was because have been to the one in Costa Rica and i had such a wonderful time and so i invited my sister who does not like to travel all i can say if you make a decision to go just be prepared .

Overall service was terrible. I felt like most of the staff were miserable. We would walk by them and they would barely respond. Could be a language barrier as most of the staff do not speak English. Maid staff is a joke. They don’t really clean the rooms, more like a wipe down. The hotel has sewage problems ( the toilets smelled of urine and waste). Our toilet flooded and left sewage all over the bathroom floor, we asked to be moved to a new room. The new room was not clean (think dirty sheets, left over empty liquor bottles, dirty floor etc). We called and they did come and bring new sheets. The food is terrible. Very limited choices for food. And they don’t really have any snacks or places to get snacks around the hotel. They advertise 4 restaurants but only had 3 restaurants open each night. The service was slow and the menu was VERY limited. The cook at the seaside grill refused to use gloves when preparing burgers, hot dogs and nachos ( he was putting cheese, tomatoes and lettuce on burgers with his bare hand. He did not speak any English). They don’t have any premium liquor unless you were in the preferred pool or Lounge. They advertised snacks in the preferred Lounge but would bring out chicken wings in increments of 6. The pool was dirty and it closes every night at 7:30pm. You would think they would use that time to clean it/treat it…. They do not. There was mold in our room. No one seemed to care. Customer service is TRASH. I would never go back here. Also, VIP services are a waste of time. We met with someone and they “scheduled” a message for us. We arrive and there is no massage scheduled . They said it was “probably the language barrier and the woman booking the massage didn’t understand English.” If you are use to going on intensional vacations with the amazing customer service (like we were) PLEASE do not book.

We have stayed at Dreams in Punta Cana and couple of their properties in Mexico. By far this is the worst dream we have been in. They should be ashamed of themselves for being part of the chain. Service is horrible due to the fact that English is not a very strong language here. Rooms were old and had lot of problems. We had to change rooms due to AC breaking down. Some people had changed rooms twice. They are never consistent with towels and amenities. When we arrived it took over TWO hours to check in after our long flight from NY. We were preferred but did not get ANY benefit. The pool area never had empty chair available. They don't have enough chairs for their guest and when they do bring one out for you, after raising an issue and talking to manager, it is broken. Seriously, food is horrible. I end up sick all night after their French restaurant and everything else we tried was nothing better than a 2 star restaurant. We are so unhappy with this place that it was a first time ever that I really want to leave early. We still have two more nights here but I wish we would have gone to Mexico. Disappointed with service, food, place. We spoke to the manager of the hotel and all he did was listened and said "yes". I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't speak English. Overall, I would never come back here again. Oh, also there is no entertainment like their other resorts, just live band every night and movies. No show.

I've been to approximately 20 all inclusive resorts in multiple countries. So far this is the worst one I've ever been too. For starters our mini bar wasn't stocked besides an opened coke can from the previous guest. Secondly, the gym doesn't even have water. I asked for water at 3 different times and they promised they would bring it by. However no one showed and I had to go complain just to get a bottle of water. I'm only on day one here and I just wish I could get my money back and leave. The other hotels we stayed out so far in Panama have been great with excellent customer service. This is the most expensive one we have stayed at in Panama yet it's the worst. Look elsewhere if you are visiting Panama. Please don't make the same mistake we did.

I reaffirm my 5 star review. This is the best hotel to stay in this post COVID world in Panama. The measures taken to assure a safe stay are awesome. The food continues to be excellent. My only complains are the tourists that don't want to use masks and the time to answer when calling room service. The rooms need a little bit of maintenance but they are very small things missing.

If you have not already booked, DON’T. If you have try to cancel and book elsewhere. I have stayed in multiple all-inclusive hotels so I am speaking from experience. 10 reasons not to stay at Dreams Playa Bonita: 1. Significant amount of mold outside and inside of the property 2. Wet to the touch walls throughout our room: closet, kitchen and living room. (We took photos) 3. Tile floor in the bedroom/bathroom was consistently wet. As a result, I took a fall and re-agitated a knee that was on the mend. 4. Only two out of three restaurant open per night for dinner with about three main courses on the menu. Our trip was 8 days so we had to keep eating the same thing day after day. 5. Food served in the restaurant was lukewarm. 6. Every day we had to ASK to get sufficient towels for the room. They consistently did not bring hand towels or brought one for two guest. 7. No regular nightly activities. One night the activity schedule showed Monday night Football in the Foyer at 8:20 PM. AT 9:00 after we had dinner we asked about the game. It wasn’t on as promised. They had to FIND a guy to get the equipment, set it up and locate the channel. We would not have asked if it were not on the schedule. 8. We were preferred members. We received no information on the Preferred amenities i.e. the preferred breakfast, beach, lounge, etc. 9. Typically your departure is coordinated well before the day you leave. We had to ASK about transportation back to the airport. 10. Partying is not my thing but, if you want to enjoy socializing with other people. This is not the place. The hotel was relatively empty everywhere, the beach, the pool, the lounge, etc. Probably for the reasons listed above. I am a traveler (business and leisure) and plan to do many more all inclusive vacations. I will NEVER stay at another DREAMS. Hyatt had the opportunity to refurbish this hotel and bring it up to their standards. It looks like renovations have not been done in years.

While my husband and I had attentive staff at every turn. The resort itself was dated and lacked necessities that any all inclusive MUST have. Plainly Dreams was mostly concern with having us sit with agents who's main purpose was to sell us time share level nonsense. And if we weren't compliant then we were up charged on everything. The food was only good two of the five days. Our room was lovely but smelled of old water and mildew. Our friends were given a room that was not made up. Then another in worse shape and by the third room they were just hoping for cleanliness. Our experience was pleasant compared to theirs. We will not be back to Dreams. In fact we walked just next door to the Westin and noticed many differences. Dreams is a poor representation for people who have never been to Panama and if i didn't know better I would never come back to here.

This resort is very chill. There are a few kid friendly activities but this resort is really for adults. The rain put a damper on outdoor activities. The location is approximately 30 minutes from the city which if you want to go party or shop. It's all inclusive so tip well. Three restaurants to choose from for dinner. They provided good service. The food could use more flavor but beautifully presented. I was there for a wedding and this insect Chitra covered the cake and bit guests. It was an unfortunate ending to a beautiful ceremony.

This resort does not represent the "Dreams" brand at all. They honestly need to close the doors, do a complete overhaul, and start fresh. The check in process was very smooth since we were preferred guest, but everything else went downhill for there. Our first room was on the fifth floor at the end of the hall. We were very far from the rest of our group and had a big tree blocking our view. The room was mildewed and there was mold in the bathroom. The bellman made it a point to tell us to be sure to use the safe, which led me to believe there is a security issue. Then our balcony door would not unlock which is a safety issue. We had to wait a day to be moved to another room. The second room was on the fourth floor and had less mold, but the mildew was just as bad. The balcony door in this room did not lock (safety issue), but they did have maintenance come and fix it right away. Then there was the A/C unit that was entirely too cold. We adjusted the temp and then the smell of mildew increased. As the days went on the unit ran louder and louder and began to sound as if it was going to explode. The food was hit or miss and there was a complete lack of beach. The only time we saw the beach is when the tide finally went. The pool was nice, but you can tell that they were painting it to cover the wear and tear. The entertainment was horrible. It seemed as if they poled staff for talent and had them perform for us without rehearsal. The gym had more mildew than anywhere. If you worked out in there you were guaranteed to have a respiratory infection. The majority of the staff need more customer service training. If you want to relax, this is not the place to stay.

They are not worth 1 star too. All staff were amicable. The adult and family pool was filthy. I was there for two days and never saw anyone cleaning the pool. Overall, the service was very poor. They care more about selling memberships than taking care of guests. Room service takes hours. Room phones and the internal website does not work. Restaurants never change menu. We had frozen food from the restaurant. The property is lovely but outdated. I cannot recommend it to anyone. Trip type business Rooms 0 Service 0Location 2.5 The room service was pathetic. I am a member, but still, the room was miserable. The restaurants are nice, but they have the same menu every day. The snack bar place was dirty and had the same food—no option for chicken. The beach is not clean won't recommend it if you are planning to come to the beach. They send me a survey link which does not work.

I really wouldn't give any stars at all. The service was horrible, room service is not a thing at all. We called for 2 days no answer from housekeeping or front desk. My husband and I went to complain they apologized and still took hours to brings towels to our room. We were preferred and nothing about our stay or experience was preferred. There were people who weren't preferred guests at the preferred pool. The preferred lounge was empty majority of the time, no bartender or nothing. The top shelf liquor options were Titos and Jose quevo. The food was horrible and always cold. The pool and pool bar closes at 6 on a Saturday. No entertainment... just don't book! Not worth it at all. Wish I could get my money back. It was our 5 year anniversary and they forgot to decorate our room.

This hotel has a lot to offer, but it depends on what do you expect to get. If you drink alcohol and like entertainment you will get the best out of the all inclusive service. If you don't like to spoil yourself with food and drinks you might find better places to spend your money. The food was good, including typical local dishes and usual options. However, no options for special dietary requirements like gluten free or dairy free. As a one night stay guest I've managed to check the gym/ fitness center and it's very well equipped, there are machines and free weights. Hotel is located around 5 km after the bridge leaving the city center by the coast line, so you will have access to the beach.

The place is a very nice place. Customer service is very good. The food is quality and tasty. Health & sanitary provisions for pandemic were all good. They even provided free on-site the virus test. They even had very good entertainment & plenty of activities. Maybe one negative point I had was, on the 2nd day the room didn't get cleaned. Until we requested and it was almost 8:00pm at night. But overall it was a very good experience.

Dreams is in a beautiful location and they know how to give you a real VIP experience with an all-inclusive stay. The pool was clean and refreshing. The food was spectacular! The air conditioner in our room was broken, and they had a repairman come check it out, who then moved us to a new room when the repairs were not just an easy fix. I only wish the issue had been resolved more quickly. We reported the issue before dinner, but it wasn't until we had called the front desk 4 more times after dinner that the repairman came and we were moved at 11:00 PM.

Stayed for a week with family. The location is absolutely stunning and the staff are very friendly and always willing to make your stay special. A solid gym was a great addition to the stay. They even operated, although with limitations, during the riots. Our rooms were all very clean and well equipped with all the necessities. The food was also always of great quality and a wide selection.

The hotel is in a quiet area, and it felt safe (gated and people coming in and out had to register). You can easily get tours, so if lounging around is not your thing there are options. Its neat, too, to see the ships lined up, waiting to pass the canal all day and night. The beach is okay, swimmable but not pretty. Lots of shells if you like to shell. It's a nice walk after eating. The facilities need updating - both the rooms and common areas. The pool needs to be resurfaced and tiling needs to be redone. Bathrooms need to be updated and the walls could be repainted in and outside the rooms to feel more clean. The AC was extremely loud in our room, and it never felt like the humidity was low. The towels never dried, and I asked them to be changed daily. It is a tropical area-. The room was cleaned and stocked well, and bed was comfortable. The grounds, the flowers and trees are well placed and make for a nice feel when walking around. The employees were friendly and helped us with our needs. Not one complaint! Food was decent for an all- inclusive, and we felt there was a good variety. The desserts were quite tasty. I only wish they offered more local delicacies. Drinks were good, and depending on which bar tender you had, the drink got you or not. The value was good. It's not a bad visit if you know what you're getting. Don't expect luxury. Don't forget the bug spray (not hotel related)!!!!

The staff is incredible! The resort itself appears older and has some cosmetic issues that need addressing, but overall, it is a great location. Restaurants were good except for the lunch/dinner buffet. We were a group of 6 and all had a great time.

I spent 5 days here with a whole delegation of children and parents after the World Robot Olympiad 2023. This is a decent all inclusive resort. The staff is friendly and speaks fluent English (a problem for most people around here). The rooms are cleanish but there is a mold smell in some rooms. The ventilation system does not do the job well as you either freeze in your room or there will be condensed water on the ceiling that will drop in your bed. The bathroom is big but the showers need a bit of an upgrade. In some rooms there was no hot water. There are 4 restaurants but not all of them open at the same time. Maybe just in that period of time. The food is somewhat diverse and some of the dishes were good, others were not well cooked. Maybe I am a bit too harsh after comparing it with other all inclusive resorts, but there is room for improvement.

Really surprised that google has so many star. The beach and water are just meh . Our room was pretty good with cold a/c but the view which they said was good was of a batting cage and archery net. The food is a problem , the Italian restaurant is ok but the lunch snack area sucks . It's on demand and. my wife literally stood there for 40 minutes when they said they ran out of hamburgers and hot dogs(why not have a buffer)

The view from the hotel is amazing. The location is really good as well since it's not so far from the airport. Loved the rooms, even though they need improvement in service. Service is very slow. However, the hotel has nice restaurants that work in some sort of rotation... Also has entertainment for kids and adults. Really enjoyed my stay at Dreams! :)

Great stay on the property. The room service food was excellent. My room was super clean. The shower water was Hot. Raccoon friends on property made it very interesting. Interesting to see the cargo ships lined up to enter the Panama Canal from the room view. #vaycay #wildlife

The room was smelling badly because of the moisture and humidity that infiltrates the walls. From the outside, it seems the building need a revamp ASAP. Tried to change the room but they kept me in the same room. Honestly, I think all the rooms are like that. Besides that, the location of the hotel is great. Rooms have a direct view onto the ocean. Food is good depending on what you order. Generally, people are friendly here.

When booking, the reviews made us a little nervous but, the price was what got us. Let me say, do not trust all the reviews. The place was quiet and quaint. It had multiple dining options, though the food in the buffets were redundant. It also had snacking options and room service. There were 4 pools, but one was for VIP and there was beach access. It is the Pacific Ocean, so there are tides and rocks but, we went in it once a day. The pool bar was great, in my opinion. We waited for drinks at times, due to long lines but, that’s fairly normal. There were loads of animals on the property including iguanas all by the pool. A staff member also showed us a sloth, and climbed the tree (safely) to photograph it for us. Staff do not expect tips and are grateful when you do. The room was clean and the resort was clean. The place could use some renovations but, there is nothing wrong with the way it is now.

Came to Dreams Playa Bonita with my family for vacation. There were only three choices of restaurants to eat from. We never got to eat at the seafood location due to private parties and it being closed. The staff however were very attentive and friendly. Iris was a great and attentive housekeeper and Eric was the best bartender at the resort. There wasn't any transportation provided by the resort to and from the airport. The food was disappointing as a whole but room service moved pretty quickly. If you are looking for a beach, go to the Atlantic ocean side of Panama. The beach here(Pacific Ocean side) is not very swim friendly.

Went with a large group, 500, and the staff was great. It would appear management tried to play us. I stayed 2 extra days, and the difference in terms of menu and variety was quite noticeable. Breakfast was always cold, pancakes and French toast once the bulk of the group left, and 1 person on the omelet station. Lunch was good. Room service is the better option. They ran out of the preferred liquor. BTW, the first 2 days, the app worked. After that you had to call the front to have roomservice. The grounds were cool, I had better food at other Dreams properties, and the staff was the best part. If you want to just relax and have in your mind to leave the property, nice place. If you want decent drinks that will get you drunk, on the money. But if you love a hearty breakfast that's hot, you may want to pass. I can't blame the staff, but they get the brunt of the negativity guests feel when treated this way by management/ownership.

The resort is dated, especially the rooms. We had to switch rooms immediately due to the moldy smell and the running toilet. The large ballroom could use some updating too. The exterior of the resort and the lobby were in good condition. We had a great view of the beach and were able to relax on the balcony and by the pools. 90% of the food was subpar, lacked flavor, and was cold when served. It made a few people in our group sick to their stomachs. Drinks were OK, we didn't receive the premium liquor we were charged for. The servers were the best part of the resort. They were friendly and provided great service.

The hospitality is mediocre. They favor light-skinned or white people. I felt as though my concerns about poor plumbing and leaks in the assigned room was irrelevant. The food was tasteless. Was hoping for traditional food. My motto is "when I Rome"... Preferred the native restaurant food in Rio Bajo😋.

Alright guys here is my review and we are still here leaving in a few days we have been here 4 days pros the food is good remember if your from America the meat and milk based products juices and etc will taste different. We have almost 24 hour room service, open bar for free, kids entertainment, all pools max get to 4.5 feet, a really cute kiddie pool is 1 feet high Area is safe we’ll guarded. We are very close to Panama City about 15-20 minutes away Cons rooms are dated but my advice you don’t like your room just say it don’t unpack or anything they will change your room right away. The service by the staff is amazing Entertainment options are a few but you have to create your own itinerary for excursions included for free is kayaking, sports stuff on the resort like volleyball, water exercises, sports, golf It’s a good value for the money Me and my husband would try Riu in the future just to try it I would recommend Dreams 100 percent because of the location they could use a face lift on the property.

Food is tasteless and the drinks are weak. Don't ask about the buffet options it's probably limited to 4-5 items. The phone in the rooms don't work you have to go to the lobby for room service. Some of the front desk staff are rude. I wouldn't stay here again for what I paid. I'm surprised this place is still open for business look around and go elsewhere.

We are supposed to be in the next to top of the line rooms. We are in the farthest location away from everything. Their preferred club, that you pay extra for is a joke. There were no towels for the pools.(Oh they are coming) Plus no chairs to sit in near the pool or the beach. People have their things holding them but no one around. They claim they will move their stuff after 30 min. That doesn't happen. You go to the restaurant and wait to be seated and they just look at you, like you are not there. Has taken 10 -15 min to be seated. The drinks are horrible, taste nothing like what they are supposed to be. They claim to be a 3 star hotel, they are far from it. Don't waste your time and money here.

The only reason I did not give this resort 5 stars is because it is starting to show its age. The resort was very clean and all of the people were very friendly! The food and drinks were very good! The spa was so amazing! Best massage I have had in a while! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, even the beds. The views were amazing! Beautiful views from just about anywhere on the resort property. I loved watching all of the ships going in and out of the Panama Canal. At night you could hear frogs making a pew pew sound which was really cool. I definitely recommend this resort and would absolutely go back.

Quietl and small resort. Entree selections are somewhat limited. The grounds are maintained nicely; however, the buildings need a fresh coat of paint and power washing. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

This is from Deborah Wright and husband Emilio Robinson. It was our first time at this resort in Panama, and let me start with Roberto the customer service manager, very nice and polite. My wife is a handicap and he saw her with walking stick, and he move us to the room closer to the elevator. He made sure we was taking care of all the way. The place is nice and clean Know, let's talk about the staff( the waiter, waitress, bartender and the rest of the staff. Was so fantastic we us. The politeness and care for the guest was so super. People like, Nathalie, Genesis, Gonzalo, Rosa, and so many more. Thank you , Thank you I am from Panama, but I live in the USA, and I recommend this resort to my family back home. Blessings to all of you for a job well done.

Beautiful place. Very clean. Excellent service. We enjoyed a pasadia, which means a day at the pool, including drinks, snacks and lunch. Most employees speak English. Very friendly. Food was excellent. Fresh and beautifully presented.

Except for disco night music, great stay. Beautiful beach big enough to get away from the music played by the pool. If you want to hear ocean waves while you swim, this will is not the place. But we were able to get far enough away to find some quiet. Being vegetarian there was only one dish at one restaurant we could eat. It got old fast. We were preferred club but no one told us about the preffered lounge or anything about that at all.

They just need to shut this resort down until they are able to renovate. I had my room changed twice because it was disgusting. The sheets were not cleaned and pillows were very nasty. The sheets and pillows had a fowl smell like old people body odor who hadn't showered in weeks. The room had a bad stinch smell. Even when they changed us into a third room we still had the same issues with the sheets smelling and a bad smell in the room. The resort is under staffed not enough people to help and keep the place clean especially the rooms. Clearly they're not properly washing the sheets. We're still in a pandemic and you would think that proper protocols are in place to ensure the rooms are cleaned and sanitized with fresh clean sheets. The resort has no type of entertainment and the food is nasty. They give you left over food every day. The only place that was refreshing to be in was the lobby when you first walk into the resort. It smells and looks clean, however the rooms are terribly unsanitary and not clean.

I would like to ask all of you to boycott this hotel. If you read the reviews over the months everyone says the same things and management or corporate posts a generic we will fix it response, yet I promise, it isn't fixed. I also do not want this standard reply, I challenge Dreams or the resort to try and make up for the worst vacation I have ever had personally. Not publicly reply to make it seem like you actually care. All the complaints are real. I went to the website to see what is told is included and what is the real truth. They overpromise and underdeliver in several categories. The resort staff is severely understaffed and overworked. I feel bad for them that they work for this management. I will also be boycotting all Dreams resorts for the simple fact that they allow this resort to operate at such subpar conditions. Here are the overdelivered promises Taken from the website and I added what is the real scenario beside each one. Defined Delights™ include: Welcoming check-in experience with sparkling wine, fresh towels and cookies---- this does not happen. It did not with us but we landed late so I understood. However I have seen others checking in and this did not happen. They never have anyone waiting at the door with any of the above. There are trays of cookies behind the desk that I did not even see until today (our 3rd day), but they are not offered. Mini-bar with bottled water, soft drinks and local beer restocked every two days Limitless access to gourmet à la carte dining options without reservations required. Yes reservations not required but gourmet is certainly not a description I would be using. It's ok, you will not gain weight on this trip. Unlimited international and domestic spirits-yes but bar service is horrible. Especially the lobby bar. I have had one nice person since being here at this bar. All the others will only serve you if you have money in your hand. Daily maid service- yes. I actually love our maid. I believe her name is Regata. She goes above and beyond and is always smiling when we pass her by. Complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the resort-yes no problems here and it is very good. Endless daytime activities and nighttime entertainment twice a week- endless not so much. I have seen bingo at the pool bar and some water aerobics but that is it. I have Been to other all inclusives that announce and walk around telling what is going on. You will not see that here. Theme parties, oceanfront bars and entertainment venues- no theme parties while we have been here. There is a movie every night but we went in there one night and the place was trashed with no bar even though it was suppose to be open. No wristbands required-very true Preferred Inclusions: Turndown service and welcome amenity in room- we had a bottle of sparkling wine in the room. No turndown any night we have been here. Upgraded bath amenities plus bath robe and slippers- bathrobe yes upgraded amenities no Daily refreshed mini-bar with soft drinks, juice, bottled water & beer- no until we demanded it. Inclusion of an extra à la carte dining option—the Bordeaux French Restaurant- everyone goes there, no special access required Upgraded premium liquor brands included in designated Preferred lounges and bars-my favorite part of the resort is the preferred lounge, mostly because it is a more personalized experience because the crowd is smaller. Access to Preferred pool offering wait service serving premium brands- my personal biggest disappointment. There is no wait service which is one of the main reasons I opted for preferred. Complimentary, daily room service available until from 6 a.m.–10 p.m. Yes but no alcohol included.

(Translated by Google) It is as always very beautiful. But despite some improvements I liked it better when it was Intercontinental. The best are its gardens and the view of the rooms, which are also very comfortable. (Original) Está como siempre muy bonito. Pero a pesar de algunas mejoras me gustaba más cuando era Intercontinental. Lo mejor son sus jardines y la vista de las habitaciones que además son muy cómodas.

It's an amazing location, I am not sure what some of the other reviews are talking about. The rooms are a little dated but very nice. The food was very good but a little repetitive as this is a smaller property and doesn't offer as many restaurants as some others. People have complained about the rocky beach, but the rocky areas are only an issue at low tide. Service was good, but moral among the staff seemed low.

I traveled from the United States to Panama. The resort offered an amazing range of amenities and services in a luxurious way. I benefitted from the quality time spent at the communal pool. The resort is beyond beautiful, comfortable, and very fun. The beds contained luxury linen. I loved that I was offered free drinks. The staff is incredibly sweet and kind (they go above and beyond). I can't put into words how amazing this resort is.

This was an okay place to stay. The food not great at all. You get burgers , fries and chicken tender just about every day. A swarm of bees flew over your head at the pool at all times. Sometimes they would be close enough just flying an inch over the water in the pool. The room phone barely works but when it did service took quiet some time. The food I was highly disappointed in the food selection the food quality and the food quantity. There was two elevators but only one worked and when the employee was on the elevator which was often they would bypass the floors and you can end up waiting 10 minutes for the lift to come. I don’t know if I would be back to this place.

The pool bartender, David at the preferred pool was top notch. The food was good for an all inclusive. Drinks with alcohol were made with real alcohol. Ana at Portofino was superb and the servers at Bordeaux were all great. The breakfast staff was good also. The views were phenomenal from balcony and at the pool. The downfall for me was the "world class spa". It was an underwhelming experience. The massage room was frigid the cocoa cream used was cold. The staff there know very little English so they couldn't even direct guests to what to do. The locker room didn't have towels. Shampoo at sinks and hand wash in showers. There was water dripping from the ceiling and mildew on vents. No music or ocean sounds playing. Although the resort could use some refreshing, I would've given it a 5 star if the spa wasn't so lack luster.

Unlimited drinks, good pools but slow service. We like the pools and drinks when weather allows, but room service is super slow with rooms only getting cleaned in late afternoon so no afternoon Chill in the room. However food is good, drinks are Free but Weak and staff are friendly and Helpful! We even saw a Sloth in the trees, Amazing!

It is a nice place, beautiful view, and good food! There is somethings they need to improve, but I heard it is in their upcoming plans. So I am looking forward to that. The cleaning service did take kind of long to have the room ready. Overall, I enjoyed the hotel and staff.

  • 3/5 Dionne G. 1 year ago on Google
The service provided by the majority of the members of staff was exceptional and the pool and views were nice. Unfortunately, the facilities and food were terrible. There was limited variety and only one restaurant (Oceana) that served a decent meal. The rooms/buildings are old and appointed with dirty and outdated decor. I had such high hopes, but this hotel fell flat in many ways.

Although our room could have used some updates it was still a great stay. I think it was the staff that made it so great. Some of them that made our stay great were: Krishna who worked in Coco Cafe, Lea who was a with member services, Cheo who was part of the activities staff, and most of all Martin who worked in Portofino. Martin was definitely a highlight for us. His personality was exceptional. The property was very nice and the fact that every room has a view was great. We loved watching the ships wait to go through the Panama Canal. Although the food was good, more variety would have been nice. All in all, we had a great stay.

I didn't have a lot of expectations, and Panama and Dreams far exceeded them. We've been to several all-inclusive s and we loved this one much more. The service was amazing. Your room is cared for multiple times in a day. The bar, pool, and activities are great. This is a great opportunity to get out and see the historic city. We played 3 rounds of golf that was not too far from the resort. We'll be coming back.

Would give 0 stars if I could. For that price you could go to a better resort. Everything is run down. Nobody cleaning rooms and have to ask a few times for someone to come. Mini fridge empty for two days after complain. The worst is that there isn't someone at front desk at night if there's an emergency. Had other guests next door running around in the hallway but nobody to help. The noise and running lasted until 4 am without any help. It's a nightmare having my kids crying in the room unable to sleep and nobody at the hotel for help. Complained the next day and after two weeks investigating they sort of brush it of that nobody else complain and made it seem like I made it up. Beware, don't go. For that kind of money, any other resort would be better than this. WORST experience ever. SAVE YOUR MONEY.
