The hotel is perfectly located at the entrance to the canal. We had booked a room with a view of the canal for a considerable extra charge. In fact, we got a room on the canal side with a view of a roof (see photo). Upon inquiry, we learned that canal side does not mean that you can see the canal. The hotel itself is not worthy of a Radisson. Pretty to look at from the outside, it is used and worn on the inside. A renovation is urgently needed. The breakfast was of inferior quality.

We needed a place last minute and this place worked out great for us. Price was reasonable and the pool was nice. It's also right on the canal and is in a rather secluded quiet area. Would recommend.

We had a perfect two nights at the Radisson. Hotel is conveniently located about 30 min (easy direct route drive) from the airport making it a perfect spot for a first night after arriving Panama City. Also a convenient location for tour of the canal, old town, and several other key spots. The staff is kind & helpful, rooms are clean, breakfast is very good. We enjoyed the pool a couple of times and it stays open late which is great and provides a wonderful view of the ships approaching and departing the canal. Just a few steps away from the hotel is a perfect restaurant for a late night dinner. Or there are always driving waiting outside to take you into town (very affordable). Will make this our usual stop when visiting.

This hotel absolutely hurts the „Radisson” brand. The staff at the front desk are totally unprofessional. Even the brazen. Absolutely needed training on how to treat a guest. I know what I am writing about because I have worked in this kind of bussiness myself. The hotel needs renovation. Everything is old, shabby. Pools in a deplorable state, dirty, uncleaned. Breakfast buffet weak, on the level of a poor guest house in Europe, coffee from a thermos. The hotel is located in a remote area. In my opinion, it is not worth paying extra for a room with a view of the canal because you do not know exactly what you will get.

The reception staff and manager are friendly and accommodating to our requests. Yes, the hotel is old, and the interior is tired from the 80s. But everything works, wifi is strong enough for streaming; the aircon is strong and controllable; good ventilation in the bathroom. The views from the balcony are unbeatable. It's hard to find a hotel with open-air balconies, let alone sea view ones. The area is safe and quiet, no car/street/bar/club noise.

Impressed with how clean they keep it. I had an ocean view room and it was the best ever seeing the ships go through. Cesar at the front desk and the housekeeping lady were great and also the guy at the little souvenir shop that BTW has great little gifts. Excellent for running in the mornings along Causeway, great cafe latte at the café, pool is nice and deeper than most hotel pools.

It was nice time spend in this hotel. Hotel looks very nice from the outside. Inside it feels it has it's years. In the room wasn't perfectly clean but it was acceptable. The biggest advantage was that we were able to check in 2 hours earlier and check out 2 hours later, and that was free of charge. Also we left our luggage in the hotel with no problem. So stuff at the reception was super friendly. Also last but not least, view from the window directly for the Panama Canal was great.

My new favorite place. Balcony with canal view. Down to the floor room darkening curtains, Spacious rooms and lobby, very nice staff that speak english. Places to walk around outside the hotel and out to the causeway, amazing city views. Uber/taxi friendly area.

I wouldn't recommend staying here. The communal areas are good (nice pool area and good looking lobby with different areas to sit). But the rooms are dated and our room wasn't clean. There were hairs in the bathtub, mold on the walls and vents and stains on the sheets. For what you are paying there are much better hotels in Panama City!

Very friendly staff. Good proximity to the international airport. My expectations were to have a view of the Canal, but it is not like that. Restaurant with little vegetarian offer.

Stayed here and organized an event here a few weeks ago.The rooms were very comfortable, clean and quiet, there are 2 restaurants inside that serve plentiful and good food and the staff at the reception and supporting our event were very helpful and nice. The food provided for coffee breaks and lunch were also plentiful and great. Wifi also worked fine during entire stay.

I very much like this hotel and have stayed here a few times. Some reviews I have read are not very flattering of this hotel but I like it. Check in was fast and flawless. Room was clean. The view was amazing of the canal. Booked with Choice Hotel points 8000 for a king suite with canal view. Best use of points I have seen from this program. No extra fees or taxes. Would highly recommend.

The place has a great view, but the rooms need some TLC. We lost power there several times and water once. The food is ok but nothing remarkable. The staff are friendly though.

Front desk staff was great, we enjoyed the breakfast buffet, the location is good. However the rooms are worn down and stains on the furniture. The A/C was dusty and blew right on the bed. It made us sick, so we had to turn it off. Considering everything, its still overpriced.

Friendly staff, great comfortable rooms, and the breakfasts are top shelf. Upgraded to a room with ocean view. Got to watch the cargo ships coming and going. Pool is clean and well taken care of.

Decent accomodations for the price. The location is good as it's close to the Contadora island ferry terminal at Amador as well as Albrook airport. The on-site breakfast restaurant is loud and busy and serves basic buffet style fare (scrambled eggs, sausage, etc). Coffee was terrible. The TGI Friday's has typical North American pub grub and drinks if that's what you are craving. Like other reviews, the place is older and dated, but for the price and location, it is a good choice.

The highlight of my stay at this hotel was undoubtedly the stunning canal view, which offered a unique perspective of passing ships. However, my initial room allocation was not ideal, as it was situated in a corner and obstructed by trees. After negotiating with the front desk, I was able to secure a room in the middle of the hotel with an amazing view. I am grateful for the front desk staff's assistance, and I tipped them $20 as a token of my appreciation. Although the facilities are somewhat outdated, I found that the exceptional view more than made up for it. The new room even had a living room bathtub, although it was not as clean as I would have liked. Overall, I believe that the hotel's unique location and unparalleled view justify any shortcomings in terms of the facilities.

We stayed at the Radisson 3 times by now. The rooms are a bit dated but very clean. The service is very good thanks to the very helpful staff especially "Casilda" We really enjoy the view over the Canal entrance and that the Hotel is located in a quiet area. Said that, we heard complaints from other guests that there is not much around. The pool is nice and a decent size.

Great hotel which we used on the first and last days in Panama. It's very close to the domestic airport. We really enjoyed the pools and views of Panama Canal. You can watch the giant ships from the pool or your balcony if you opt-in for a seaview. The walk along the Amador coast is also near and lovely especially early in the morning. The breakfast was the best in Panama with a wide selection of cold and warm options.

Nice hotel, great views. But this is not a 4- star hotel. Barely a 3-star for service, quality and basic amenities.

The good: spaceous rooms, very good food, very friendly house keeping staff, walking distance to the Congress Center, breakfast starts at 6:00 which is great The less good: front desk staff is helpful but not very friendly, almost seeming annoyed, no mosquito nets on the windows, air conditioning in the room is pretty noisy, some power outages here and there (maybe not the hotel to blame) and rarely no water (for brief moments).

Great Hotel to be right out of the hustle and bustle of the city (yet close enough to Uber over in 15 min) for a reasonable price. Nice pool (although can get crowded and people saving chairs) with views of Canal. We had a 1 bedroom suite with a separate area that has a sofa for kids. Its kind of narrow and felt a little claustrophobic. The window (and balcony) is in the bedroom so no window in most of the room. The view was nice but wasn't a big fan of the blaring music coming from locals at random hours hanging out behind the hotel.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially at the reception. The hotel is OK for a short stay at the city rooms are clean. All in all the hotel needs a little renovation and freshening up 😊

Wow! What an incredible hotel! We were lucky enough to get a 3rd floor room over-looking the Panama Ship canal, which was fascinating to say the least! The room was very spacious with everything you could need. Very friendly and very helpful staff, really couldn't have asked for better, and the food was excellent too. Top class hotel!

Quiet place, clean rooms, supermarket and souvenir shops nearby. The girl, Giuriel, at the front desk is very friendly and always ready to help. The hotel strictly enforces quarantine measures.

I can only review the restaurant. The service was slow from the start. It took 20 minutes for the waitress to take our drink orders and then another 15 before they arrived. We ordered our food and waited over an hour and still nothing. We notified the waitress that we needed to leave, and it took another 30 minutes to receive our food and check. This place operates at a snails pace, maybe even slower. Panama is notorious for poor, un friendly service but this place took it to a whole new level.

Older hotel. Door does not seal when closing so we heard what sounded like hurricane winds all night. Non smoking facility but still allowed guests to smoke but charged them smoking fee. We could not sit out on balcony because of this. We asked to be released from our reservation but was denied. They knew it was a problem because they charged the guests the smoking fee. Poor service! The bedroom is on street side so extremely noisy at night, couch and table beachside of room. This is definitely not a Radison quality standard hotel. No I do not recommend

Great hotel clean and nice. Right on the beach. Me and my husband stayed for 5 days and we loved it. Definitely recommend. Close to alot of restaurants and shopping. Walking distance.

We had a great experience and would recommend to anyone. Its close to the causeway and good restaurants. we walked the causeway to the islands nearly every day. It was quiet. I watched the canal traffic float quietly by and enjoyed my visit. I worked from the balcony every day.

Scenic location next to the Panama Canal with views from a well-appointed and spacious outdoor pool & jacuzzi deck. No fault of the proprietors, my visit occurred during an overcast and rainy period, so I spent free time indoors with the friendly bartender who diaoenses 2-for-1 drinks at happy hour. Also, though it's near multiple bars, restaurants and sights a bit further south on the Amador Causeway, a car or taxi is recommended; it's just a bit far for easy walking.

Room was adequate. Not really that nice, but no big issues either. Location mixed. You get a great view of the boats passing by and can take a scenic stroll to the Biomuseo, but not being in a central location we constantly needed taxi's for everything. No great food options within walking distance. They have a TGIFriday's at the hotel, but they did not do room service as advertised and while I was there I never saw anyone attending at their Cafe 1814. The cafe had bottled drinks, prepackaged sandwiches and desserts you paid for at the front desk.

Nice hotel located near the sea side. Very nice breakfast, two restaurants. I would say that rooms could be better with a little bit of renovation. But overall highly recommended.

Nice hotel. People were nice and accommodating. It was a great view to a famous bridge. It is very near a yatch club and Port. It is not close to the city but it is nice. You can go out for a walk safely.

Old and poorly maintained property. Great location right at the entrance of the Panamá Canal. There is only a restaurant (TGI Fridays) open at night, the bar closes at 8. Phone and tub did not work in the room. Floors looked dirty/stained. Too expensive for what it is.

An honest comfortable tourist hotel. All the staff nice, kind and very useful. Excellent service. Needs a restaurant better than Fridays. Best option in the area.

This place is cheap for a reason: it is extremely worn down. And very dirty- with hairs on the floors and dust all over in the rooms. Breakfast buffet is $13 for cold eggs and warm juice. TV is snowy and the chairs on balconies are old plastic. Furthermore, the personal sims to have given up- no smile at all. There is nothing in the surrounding areas so taxis are needed (i knew that). Pool is okay though- sadly no pool side service. Okay for low budget- but very far from Radisson standard.

Beautiful hotel , great location to watch ships go by Panama canal, not so close to other main attractions. Very specious rooms and extremely clean.

Excellent location for the Convention Center. Less than 10 minute walk but for us they had free shuttle service. Pool and spa was amazing. Bar service at the pool as well. TGIFridays was garbage.

Don't pay for Canal View, trees won't let you see. No USB ports anywhere. Service was deficient and lo anion is not what it used to be. For the same price I could have stayed in Calle 50 RIU. Not recommended.

Ocean view rooms have stunning view over entrance to the Panama Canal where you can watch the ships glide by. Public areas nice. However rooms are tired, barely hot water despite room change, and restaurant staff not very friendly. Hotel a little cut off from other restaurant areas.

  • 3/5 Gaurav R. 2 years ago on Google
Not exactly a typical Radisson. Beachfront. Pool just out of the lobby. People speak English. No spa. TGIF is just outside the lobby as well. Food is good , not very greasy. Rooms are good size. Entrance to the property has ample parking space.

Could see ships passing from my balcony! Quiet location, good staff. Rooms need renovation (dated sofa and chairs, noisy air conditioning).

  • 3/5 Jill T. 1 year ago on Google
Good location, pools are nice. The food is pretty underwhelming. Hotel is dated but clean and they've certainly completed some upgrades. The AC is quite noisy.

  • 4/5 Jim 1 year ago on Google
A bit isolated but that can be a good thing! Rooms are nice but maintenance is poorly or inexpensively performed.

  • 2/5 Thomas V. 2 years ago on Google
Probably the most average 5 star hotel ever. Paint job is bad, the floor cracks in the staircase, the furniture is dated or cheap, the breakfast buffet is expensive for very average products. I mean sure there's a water view but don't call it a 5 star. It's a very good 3 star hotel. Nothing more.

  • 4/5 Linda S. 1 year ago on Google
Older hotel but nice view of ocean and bridge/canal. Nice pool and house keeping is very accommodating! A little off the beaten path but nice to get away from the city and night life at the end of the day. Had a very nice time!

It was a very interesting stay. It was a nice and comfy stay. Was there during my stay and tour of the canal. Room and hotel were very clean and bright. Staff are very nice and knowledgeable when I asked about anything. I hope you all give it a go when you thinking of booking a hotel to relax and enjoy the canal.
