Came here for a conference and got 2 nights of my 6 free. Also got complimentary early check in and 3om checkout. Staff are friendly and most also speak English (lobby staff). Rooms were good but some dated fixtures. I thought the lighting in the room could have been a bit better but it isn't a problem during the day when you can open the curtains and get tons of natural light. Balcony was good and view was good. You can also see into the apartments opposite. Breakfast was good with a wide variety although the conference lunch was a bit boring. I guess they had to play it safe.

I had a really bad experience checking-in on JW Marriott Panama. First of all, this is a premium hotel, so we expect premium hospitality. The lack of help or at least willingness to help from the desk manager on duty Rodney was bizarre. I have a big family. 4 young kids. From 3 to 10 years old. Upon reservation I requested two bedrooms with two beds, and for us to stay close to each other. What JW Marriott Panama offered me: a room with one bed, and the other one with 2, but 4 floors apart. I asked politely if it was possible to be in the same floor and to arrange 2 bedrooms with 2 beds. They barely tried. Told me that the hotel was full and it was not possible to do anything. To make things worse, they put us even further from each other - but now 9 floors apart. I have young kids for Heaven´s sake. Terrible experience. Never felt so neglected. It was supposed to be a nice vacation, and i hope it does but it all started with a MESS!!!!!!! Your unprofessional desk staff left me with a Bad taste in my mouth Marriott...

Mixed feelings about this location and hotel as I was very excited to take my husband, parents and sister here for their milestone birthdays. Checking in, they were very pushy about the parking location, made it very uncomfortable for us as they were yelling at my husband. Our room was missing a chair, one set of coffee, robe, slippers and tea for two people so I called for it. It was not delivered for several hours. Then when I asked them to leave it outside as I was bathing they stood by the door for 20 minutes, didn’t leave the items and called the room instead. Hate the set up of the two sets of elevators to get down. It is not easy and almost every guest struggles to get to their floors. It’s almost comical to watch. The buffet breakfast was nice and the best part about the stay.

The JW property is very modern and has fantastic views. The service and food are great. The common spaces are large with sweeping architectural features. It has American business traveler features and feels as though you are setting foot into a western hotel. The problem is that the construction seems to be failing with flooding and mildew evident. Sadly the infrastructure does not seem to be standing up to the test of time. I would suggest the property to business travelers or hardcore Mariott enthusiasts. Otherwise, the new Hyatt would be a better choice for tourists. We had a wonderful stay but sadly the “trump” quality construction has caught up.

To start with the positives, the staff seems to care for the most part. The bartender at cava in particular was phenomenal. The gym is quite large for a hotel gym and it has a good amount of equipment in it. Unfortunately, overall I wouldn’t come back here. I was expecting a beautiful water view, and it was mostly of high-rises with the water peeking through. I booked a suite, and frankly, it felt like a large hotel room and not what I would consider a suite. There’s no privacy in the bathroom, it’s open and all glass. The building itself felt like an awkward layout to me and everything felt quite dated. I wouldn’t go back to their restaurant Masi- my order was terrible, and they neither offered me something else to eat nor took it off the bill. The wine there also tasted stale. The lounge was subpar. It’s nice to have a quieter space, but the food is nothing to write home about and if you would like anything to drink it costs more than most other hotel bars and/or restaurants in the area for old wine. Also, they were consistently out of water of all things.

This place was cool. The prices were whatever. The staff were attentive and helpful. The only issues I would address is the room conditions. First room I booked was too small for me and I upgraded it the top room available and there were lights not working properly, broken furniture, curtain rod falling off the screw and hitting me in the face. Cleaning people seem to fail at attention to detail as they drainage had a pile of people’s hair built up in the shower. Due to COVID many amenities were available fully. Plenty of restaurants also within the building. Great pool and services.

Don’t get why people complain about the elevator nor the hotel facility so much. It’s not so much an outdated property — well kept, clean and the staffs are so kind and helpful. Elevator can be a bit of a trick at first, but it’s as simple as swiping your card, entering your floor and voila. On a second thought though, the pillows had an old smell and we had to have them changed twice — all requests were met with a smile and the housecleaning staff was incredibly helpful in checking in to make sure we were satisfied. Pizza as a room service pretty delicious — recommend the Margherita.

I made the mistake of leaving some very valuable belongings in the safe in my room after check-out. When I realized that I did not empty the safe, I called the hotel to which the person told me to call back tomorrow. I immediately went back to the hotel and met with loss prevention. They admitted the safe was locked, to which they proceeded to open it. They claim the safe was empty. I lost the contents that I personally placed in that safe. I just would not expect that in this quality of hotel.

other than the loud dog barking, wailing, and voices echoing between the buildings, this hotel is lovely. “partial ocean view” means its stuffed between other high-rises. clean and comfortable, great staff, but my room had a ton of city noise!

I checked into JW Marriott Panama hotel August 2nd, 2022. Upon checking in I wasn’t informed of the pool being closed for 75% of my stay. Once I asked if the pool was closed, I was then notified that I can get a complimentary shuttle to another hotel nearby pool. (Which wasn’t nearly as accommodating as JW Marriott Panama pool). Then, I stayed 2 nights in room 2014 and noticed a foul smell coming from the bathroom sink. I notified front desk, and they sent housekeeping to “fix the odor”. That didn’t work, so I was asked to inconveniently switch rooms because they could not fix the odor promptly. Upon switching to that room I somehow lost my $400 Tory Burch earrings. Now that my daughters and I switched to room 2216, I took a shower and realized that the water did not go down the drain. Once again, I called the front desk, they sent maintenance this time and he couldn’t fix the water to go down the drain because the shower floor wasn’t leveled to the drain. Front desk then checked me into room 3210. Hopefully this time around, I didn’t loose anything, and I honestly was tired and frustrated from all of the switching/moving of the rooms. This was very inconvenient, frustrating, and altogether not a good experience. Not to mention my other guest stayed in room 2010 and there sink pipe bust. Also, in-order for us to go to each other’s room, we had to have the key to the other persons room floor (VERY INCONVENIENT). Lastly, I want to personally report Ruben and Edwardo for being very rude to me and my daughter. Myself or my guest are not happy with this stay, as a Silver Elite Marriott Bonvoy member, this is very disappointing.

Great hotel with many amenities. The hotel layout is very confusing. Its like a labyrinth. You have to take two different elevators to get to either your room or the lobby. My room was very luxurious with an incredible view to the sea. The room was well organized and clean. The Masi restaurant there was really good, the breakfast was delicious. The dinner menu lacked variety, in my opinion, but the food was really good. Overall service was good. There are plenty of hotels in Panama City, I would recommend anyone interested in visiting this city, to do their research and find a better option, if anything. It's not bad at all, but not the best either.

Not only worst 5 star hotel, but also worst hotel I've ever been to. 2 things: 1. The "partial" ocean view of my room is not partial at all, it's more of a one line view. It's nothing like the photos in the description of the room type. See my photo uploaded. 2. I ordered in-room food service. I wrote $4 tips (10%) on the receipt. When I checked out, I noticed that the gratuity number on my stay receipt became $8. I asked the front desk to change the amount for me. But the issue was that if I didn't have noticed that, they will easily manipulate what you actually wrote.

Got to hotel before check in, the gentleman said room wasn’t ready and should be ready in thirty minutes. We asked him for some food choices. He recommended a couple, we went to eat returned one/two hours later the room still wasn’t ready. As we approached the desk the gentleman was helping another customer he ran to tell his co-worker something in their language. She stated that they were cleaning our room. By the time we got the room, walked in and instantly smelled an odor like mold or mildew. Our stay was from October 22,2023 until October 27,2023. We asked if they were having problems with the air conditioner because it smelled so bad in the hallway and room, of course they said no. Called down to get some towels for the evening I’m still waiting and I’m back home. Spoke with other guests on different floors we asked if it smelled and they said no. We were in room 2011. The shower didn’t drain , shower light never worked. The worst JW Marriott we’ve ever stayed. Please contact me about this issue. Thank you

Just a one night stay. Got a good rate due to Government affiliation pricing. Upon arriving we had to take the elevator up to the 12th or 13th floor. I was on the 33rd floor. The pool is on the 14th floor. There is a restaurant and bar also cabanas available along pool side. A bit breezy due to the 14th floor. Also there is a discreet smoking area to enjoy a Cuban cigar. I purchased a box of Cohiba Robustos at the “W” hotel where there is a legit cigar store in the lobby. Unfortunately my favorite Cohibas, Behike 56 were $1,200.00 a box. Way more than I wanted to pay. I was here in 2019 and they were $800.00 then. Damn inflation! LOL! Back to the hotel review. I ordered Baja fish tacos and the pool side bar/restaurant. Not too bad. But that’s all you get. Just three tacos. No beans or rice. I believe it was $14.00 for that dish. The staff was friendly. But I couldn’t help to notice the heavy security presence. The security teams dressed in suits and all had ear pieces like the secret service. Seem a bit intimidating. As I look about, taking in the sights poolside, I would lock eyes on any given member of the security officers. Unintentionally of course and it would be a stare off. I think the suits should be more clandestine. There so many of them in the open. But I guess some would feel safe observing so many security members walking amongst the guests. My room was nice for the rate I was paying. Full stock bar and loaded mini fridge. Two bottles of waters is complementary and various items of toothpaste and toothbrush, sewing kit, and vanity items of sorts. Shower had a rain style shower head which was nice. Room also had a balcony with chair and table. The bed and pillows were great! So soft and fluffy. Later that evening I had a rum and coke with my cigar on the outside patio bar which was empty of people. I figured as long as there was no one around that wouldn’t be inconvenienced by cigar aroma I figured I would make myself comfortable on the outside deck of the patio. As luck would have it. No one from the staff or security confronted me about my cigar experience. In fact, Estella came by to see if I need another drink. She did say that normally the area where I was sitting is not a designated smoking area. But since I was the only one there. She was cool with it. Breakfast the next day was quite a spread. Oh my god!!! The pineapple!! Get some pineapple!! Like a filet minion of fruit. This pineapple was so juicy and would melt in your mouth. Coffee was legit! Also the plums were very good. The kind I like. Dark red plums on the inside and so sweet and lightly tartly at the same time. The croissants were flaky and buttery flavored. Eggs made to order. The assortment included a South American flair with some local Panamanian breakfast dishes and drinks. The staff were very helpful at the front desk upon checking out. Overall a very good experience.

This is a great hotel to stay while in the city. It is convenient to the hustle and bustle, restaurants, night life, shopping, the highways, and it is literally next door to a huge casino with an exclusive rooftop lounge. You can walk to a number of places or take a cab. The rooms were cute and I enjoyed the balcony view. The pool area is fabulous, with multiple pools and deck lounging areas. They also have an infinity pool. Multiple restaurants, bars, stores, and shopping are on site. All in all, a great experience, and great service as well.

Older hotel but in decent condition. Definitely more of an upscale feel to it than some of the other places I stayed in Panama City. The hotel is the top half of the building and towards the back of the ground floor is a slew of cafes, restaurants and bars. You'll pay a little bit of a premium for all these places. Not a whole lot in the area besides what's in the building and traffic was pretty bad coming and going but for a few days stay it wasn't really an issue. Not sure I'd want to be there more than 3-4 days personally.

Overall we loved the property. Our room on the 33rd floor had a wonderful ocean view. Check-in was fast and the clerk was extraordinarily helpful in getting us our room and info we needed. Service was a little inconsistent, but overall was very good. Some of the staff seemed unsure the location of parts of the hotel. I could easily be mistaken on this point. It may have been a simple result of my lack of good Spanish. As I said, overall the service was very good. The elevator system seemed a bit quirky to me. This is not a complaint by any means. Just an observation that i was confused almost every time I used the elevator. The street entrance is somewhere around floor 13. The front desk is one floor away from that and labeled PS in the elevator, but there is also a PR label. Some of the parking is above level 13 (I think). Heck I don't know. It was fun guessing which button to press, up or down, to get to my destination. My wife and I made a game of it. My only knock would be the bathtub in our room. At some time in the past the non-slip strips had been reglued to the tub and glue had seeped around the edges of the strips. As a result, dirt and grime were stuck to the glue making quick rinsing impossible by housekeeping so they just left it. When we first entered the room we thought the tub must not have been cleaned. When I tried cleaning the tub myself I realized the dirt was essentially glued to the tub. I spent 90 minutes scrubbing to get the tub clean enough to look clean enough to bath in. I'm sure the hotel would have provided another room had I asked, but the view from this room.... Don't get me wrong. This is a wonderful hotel and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. As a matter of fact, I did stay there again at the end of our Panama adventure. Room had the same view, elevators were still quirky, and the tub was clean.

Room was downgraded at check in from the one originally booked. No price change or compensation offered. No privacy with curtains open. Construction going on around the pool with people grinding the whole weekend. Told we had to leave the pool and outside area when it started to rain. Not a cheap hotel and really not worth it. Stay elsewhere.

We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel, very convenient location, lots of amenities & restaurants in the building, casino, and of course gorgeous sea view from the room. Very spacious room, very clean, super nice staff. Everything is super secure- you can’t get on a certain floor if your room is not located on that floor. Endless pool, and huge gym with full equipment. The lobby area is a bit to loud and busy, would not recommend if you need to do some work.

This hotel is a former Trump property. The "lobby" is on the 14th floor and you switch elevators to go to the rooms. The elevators are oddly designed. You have to constantly look at all of them to see which one is arriving next. The elevators are glass and have a cool view. The room on the 26th floor was visibly dirty and smelled like mold. The hotel admitted it was having a mold issue. Once we moved to the 34th floor, the mold smell wasn't there anymore; there were additional amenities, and even larger and softer bath towels. My travel partner and I had "travelers' sickness" from the breakfast, daily, no matter what we ate, even though we didn't drink the water (don't). We drank Pepto Bismol daily. The staff are helpful and courteous and quickly accommodated our room change, and provided vases upon request for the flowers I purchased at the nearby market.

People were very friendly, we got upgraded to a suite. Not very well furnished but large. Great views with a balcony. Needs upgrades in certain areas but overall nice. Amenities are great, pool gets no sun after 12-1 pm. Elevators are extremely annoying.

First class hotel located what once was Trump Tower. Check in is a little confusing because the hotel entrance is on an upper floor that is hard to figure out. Once at the hotel lobby and you check in you need to take another bank of elevators. That's another issue as they don't explain how you access your floor. I was not escorted to the room. Covid protocol? The room is small and as you walk in you are met with the open bathroom and s as soaking tub. Kind of creepy for s JW Marriott. The rooms have s nice size balcony to sit outside and view the ocean 🌊. Breakfast is excellent and everything is good. The best thing is the HUGE swimming pool area with two 25 meter infinity pools looking out the ocean and 4 more medium size pools. A large open covered area with a bar and restaurant. The pool attentents don't come in until 10 am so if you want to swim early you need to bring your own towels

Outside main lobby entrance to the left is the entrance to casino. Go in, up escalator, and head right. There is a space hiding the elevator. That elevator is the only one to get you to floor 66. MAKE A RESERVATION. It is very small up there and you may not get in. Decent price and pretty views. Just have to deal with all the instagramers in the way getting photos!

We have stayed at the hotel prior to the name change (Trump to JW Marriot) and loved everything about it. This time we had planned on staying for at least 7 nights but after our first executive suite being in shambles we switched to another which was also in shambles. Dirty sheets on the bed, stains on all the chairs sofa etc., burn makes on the wood tables from a broken lamp that had not been removed from service or repaired, a sink that leaked water all over rather floor and so on and son on. Rooms are in major need of maintenance and a full renovation. The common areas of the hotel are very nice and the staff is great, however with rooms in such poor shape this is not a 5 star hotel!

Dreadful Hotel...no lobby so when you arrive with taxi you have to take lift to certain floor. The lift you must enter the floor number and press return but everything in Spanish. There is no way to get to the street level with the room lifts...you must change to another lift but how is one meant to know? Room flooded having shower. Door broken where catch was forced. Breakfast late and no way to order coffee. Was told staff did not arrive. Pool meant to be open at 7am but locked until we had 3 workers call various people. No way to get towel. Staff no idea what's going on like they started working there yesterday. When I asked to speak to General manager I was not surprised to hear he was not at the hotel and would be back tomorrow...disaster.

I stayed for a week at the JW Marriott Panama and everything went quite smooth. My room was on the 22nd floor and it had an 'interesting' design which did not have any walls or partitions between the bedroom and bathroom. This meant that the shower itself was a 'glass square' in the middle of the room which I had never seen before in any other hotel. The bottom half of the shower glass was frosted which gave some privacy, but left the top completely visible for anyone else in the room (ladies). It certainly was different. Everything else was pretty much as expected: A soft comfy king bed, large TV, work desk, coffee station, lounge chair, mini bar, safe, closet, iron+board and a balcony. Made use of their buffet breakfast which was good and well stocked. The elevator numbering is somewhat confusing for getting from the street to the hotel's lobby and then to your room, but you get used to it. The location is great and there is a supermarket which you can walk about 5 minutes a way and the Multi Plaza mall is also close by. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

After staying in numerous JW Marriott hotels, I can confidently say that this particular one does not meet the standards I have come to expect from a JW Marriott hotel in terms of service and quality. I could delve into specific details that would easily warrant a deduction of at least two stars.

Nothing but wonderful things to say about the Marriot, the restaurants, the service and the overall kindness of every staff member. We loved staying here and we will be booking again! Special shout-out to Amelio at Masi restaurant. He was such a kind soul, with great customer service. The entire staff was incredible but thank you Amelio for going above and beyond!

Great Hotel, Great Staff. I just did not get 1 nights full sleep as people when they are entering or leaving their rooms, just seem to let go of the bedroom door, and let it slam closed. Every single day and night of my 31 days staying here, this happened multiple times. Not great when you need your sleep before going to work.

The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are lovely. The staff accommodated our request for connecting rooms for our family of five - which frankly, i think is the appropriate thing to do when traveling with children under the age of 10. Upon requesting an upgrade, which i never expect to receive but always ask regardless, the staff graciously offered connecting rooms on the concierge level. The room upgrades immediately appeared on my bonvoy app and i confirmed that the room description stated ‘this room features Concierge lounge access’. The implication and logical conclusion being that lounge access is a function of the room, period. I was legitimately thrilled! However, upon asking what floor the lounge/level is, I was informed that we will be denied access to the lounge, despite the room type specifically stating that we would have access. The staff kept informing me that the upgrade is just for the ‘room’, not the privileges/description of the room. This doesn’t make any sense to me. If an upgrade to a room is offered, is there any logical reason why the benefits/description of the room should not apply? Is the room description supposed to automatically change depending on who is in it? Or whether it was an upgrade due to status or special occasion? I felt like I kept going in circles with no satisfactory explanation being provided. I still don’t understand how an upgrade to the concierge level without the benefits of the concierge level is any upgrade at all. This shouldn’t have anything to do with status levels. An offered upgrade to a specific room type without honoring the advertised description of the room type seems unethical to me, especially since the denial of access was not noted at the time the offer was presented.

Very disappointed. Rooms very old and not clean. All hotel is very dirty. No warm water in the shower. Pool closed due to maintenance issues. Very laud, very unpleasant place to stay. Staff not interested in helping resolving any issues. This is not a Marriott quality. Very negative experience:-(

THIS IS THE HOTEL TO STAY AT IN PANAMA CITY! I have stayed at 5 star hotels all over the world, I've visited 50 countries, I'm usually never very impressed with any hotels. Either the hotel is great and the service is bad, or the service is great and the hotel is bad. I stayed here at the JW Marriott Panama for two weeks and my stay was phenomenal. The hotel is fantastic, the rooms are great, it's very quiet, it's very safe, the location is great and a short walk from the big Multiplaza Mall, the pools are incredible, and there's 5 amazing restaurants on the ground floor (not part of the hotel), as well as the MASI restaurant inside the hotel which is terrific, plus the Executive Lounge next to the MASI restaurant which is also fantastic. But above all, I can't say enough good things about the service. The people who work at this hotel really go the extra mile to make things as comfortable for their guests as possible. They smile. They seem actually happy. And they seem genuinely happy to see you each day. And the room service only takes 20-25 minutes! Anywhere else I've stayed, room service is always 45-60 min. Here, it's literally at your door so incredibly fast I just had to mention it. Also on the ground floor is a dry cleaning service, and a market to get snacks or bottled water or whatever you need. The Executive Lounge offers free dinner from 5:30pm to 8pm every night and it's the BEST food I've ever had in a lounge before where the food is free. I initially was eating at restaurants each night but then I tried the food in the Exec Lounge and it was so good I kept coming back every night for dinner. The JW Marriott Panama has become one of the top 5 favorite hotels in the world, and I've stayed at the Four Seasons' and St. Regis's of the world. Don't get me wrong: it's not *perfect* and there are little things I could nitpick, but as a whole, overall, it's an absolutely fantastic hotel. And again, it's really the service that has impressed me. Thank you to the whole staff at JW Marriott Panama. You're doing so much better than most hotels in the world!

First off.. staff is FABULOUS Feels and looks luxury from the outside but when you dive into the details, it is not. Rooms look modern, but it’s funky and a weirdly furnished room. Sorry I am titanium elite and the insides feel like a 3star. Think Fairfield near Ohare or LAX Beautiful infinity pool overlooking the skyline.. with lazy entitled service.. The executive lounge for those with access serves free breakfast and non-alcoholic drinks all day. Glass of cheap wine is $15 Location of hotel is within CBD close to airport Easy access to attractions. Overpriced but probably as good as your gonna do in PTY

It is in a great city location close to shops and restaurants. The Multi Plaza mall is a 15 minute walk away. Uber rides were $3 -$5 to Casca Viejo and surrounding areas. The rooftop bar and casino are right next door. From the luggage handlers to housekeeping, everyone was so nice and attentive. Valeria checked us in and provided great customer service and recommendations for area attractions. She also called around to assist us in finding special alcohol not sold in the US. The partial ocean view double bed rooms are large, appropriately stocked and perfect for our visit. I spent a lot of time on the balcony enjoying the view. Room Cons: There is only a curtain separating the bathroom from the rest of the room. This is not ideal when traveling with friends or anyone you don't want to see you in your birthday suit. The water was not hot on our first full day, it was very warm. It may have been because we were on the 34th floor and showering at the same time as everyone else. It was like the hotel heard us and the water was definitely hot afterwards. We ordered an ice bucket along with blankets and they were delivered within minutes. The attendant also showed us how to use the coffee maker to make hot tea. I am impressed by the speed and attentiveness of everyone on staff. You must allow time in your visit for the infinity pools. There is plenty of seating in and around the pool to enjoy the gorgeous ocean views on one side and the city views on the other. The Azul restaurant/bar attendants were very attentive and provided excellent service. The Sunday brunch at Masi is another must do. There are a ton of mouth watering buffet options, a carving station, live music and unlimited mimosas. One of the many highlights of our stay. I also ordered room service, which took less than 30 minutes. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. I will definitely return to this hotel.

The staff here is very nice and remember you and very helpful. The hotel is quite run down in our opinion for a JW. It’s giant so I’m sure it’s difficult to maintain but it doesn’t feel close to a luxury hotel. I would not have purchased the concierge level had we known it didn’t offer free alcohol. The wine is about $18-$25 a glass and it’s been sitting out for ages. The wine at the bars are cheaper. The food is very bland/soggy buffet food that is not worth the extra cost with the exception of an omelette those were good but not worth $100+ per night for. The concierge room is also so fragrant like an old lady it’s hard to even be in there. The pool areas are nice and have fabulous views. And like mentioned above the staff is nice.

For the price you pay at the JW Marriott you would expect at least decent service. This was not the case at this location. Upon check in, the staff was exceptionally rude and pushy. The rooms were not ready with a lot of things missing. Initial requests for the missing items were ignored for hours. The only good thing about this JW Marriott is the location and the breakfast.

Awesome hotel and residence side! If you visit Panama City, this is the hotel to be at! Breakfast and brunch are always good, the rooms and views are just breath taking!! If you decide to move to Panama - check out the residence side, affordable and can’t beat the location!

Barely left this place during my stay in Panamá, and with good reason. There were good restaurants right within the hotel and elsewhere in the same building; the pool area is generous and relaxing, with great bay views. Soaking tubs with mineral salts as a regular toiletry amenity was an especially nice touch.

I had higher expectations. I specifically booked hotel because of the pool view . When I got here the pool water was freezing . You hardly saw sun because other buildings were blocking the view and there are hardly any chairs that had partial sun view. In the shower they give you one small bottle of shampoo and one small bottle of conditioner. So going to either have to buy or keep asking them to bring more . I’m staying in an executive suite and also thought the room would be nicer and we only have partial view of ocean. I was told every room would have partial view so I thought executive suite would have a better view of ocean. Overall it’s a nice hotel but I definitely was expecting things to be better.

I very much enjoyed my stay here. I would have given a 5 if not a few glitches that staff fixed. First I will like to compliment Jose from the executive lounge. He was very professional and paid attention to detail and our needs. His service was exemplary and probably why I would stay at your location in Panama again with my family. One of the simplest things in life is great customer service and doesn't cost much and we saw that from jose. He brought me mango juice for breakfast in executive lounge even when other staff were lazy to get at first. Also regarding the room they were kept clean by staff. My only complaint when you shower it leaked on floor creating a safety hazard. Also rest of stay went well with the exception of two hiccups when I first came they did not see my reservation and thank God I had it on my app. And also one evening after a long day key did not work seems like we were checked out and in thats why it did not work in the middle of the stay.. But apart from that the staff was great. Valet were great as well. I forgot his name who took out car every day very professional and great gentleman. The restaurant Masi was good as well.

The building is a bit dated, and it's a couple of slow elevators to get in and out of the room, but the staff was very nice. The Lounge staff was especially friendly. Not a factor to the rating because it's really only a comparison to what I'm used to, not any responsibility of the hotel's...,but, with my Bonvoy status I usually get something. Automatic 4:00PM, guy said 2:00PM was the latest until I pushed. Upgrade (or attempt to), guy was like no can do maybe tomorrow...no follow up. No extras left in the room either. Look, I understand what it sounds like, and I would never let that affect stars...buuuuut hotels usually do a little more...just sayin'

The views are spectacular but the service at the rooftop pool is aweful! It’s like you are paying them to ignore you. That aside. Worth seeing the dual infinity pools.

The best thing about this place are the views, I had an ocean-city view on the 48th floor, service is good and location is really nice. Rooms could use some updating but all in all pretty good.

Terrible customer service!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! Charged my card an extra $90 the day AFTER I checked out and claimed it was for the mini bar which I never touched. During my trip in Panama, I was on excursions each day and barely spent time in the hotel room. It's been 3 weeks since I checked out and NO ONE AT THE FRONT DESK OR ACCOUNTING HAS REFUNDED MY MONEY or CAN GIVE ME AN ACCURATE EXPLANATION OF WHY MY CARD WAS CHARGED. I currently work for Marriott and will be reaching out to Corporate to complain! Staff is careless and clearly a bunch of thieves. Do not recommend staying here. Book at the The W down the way. :-)

Is an excellent place to rest, modern rooms, superb service, tasty and varied breakfast, excellent attention from its staff, perhaps its location is not the most outstanding feature

If I could give this hotel zero stars I would “. David the hotel manager has no ability to resolve any issues. I stayed for almost 10 days and every day just got worse. Front Desk doesn’t answer the phone they’re just too busy and they don’t have a capacity to help. This should not be a JW Marriott hotel it’s more like a Hampton Inn because the service is not what to expect from a JW property. I’m a Marriott platinum rewards member stated numerous properties throughout the world and this one by far is the worst rooms plus the worst service. Buyer beware! Somebody nearby my room was smoking I tried calling to ask for help and nobody came to my room for over one hour I had to go downstairs and ask for help and even after that overall it took two hours to resolve an issue. The way they resolved it was just moving my room they never stopped the guests in the nearby room from smoking

Been one night and run away during Easter 2022. The room a bad smell, we moved to other room that was better, however, room are with old not maintained furniture, with a big bath stuck in the room, getting in and out you need to replace elevators. Didn't like the this hotel, for the rate we paid you can get much better.

Like much of my experience in Panama this place looks like the real deal. The reality was that check in was slow, the breakfast buffet was just ok, and the rooms had small issues. There was a light fixture in my room that kept turning itself on and flickering and I had to unscrew the bulb to fix it. Gave it 4 stars because the concierge was helpful and the transportation from the hotel to meetings was efficient.

We came are last-night here in Panama. We enjoyed the pool and drinks. They also have a Heated pool. The gym was amazing. The restaurant was also good for breakfast. Would stay here again!

On vacation from New York to go real estate hunting. Nothing like being dead center of everything that is happening. Restaurants in the hotel or top notch service accommodations everything top notch. They leave nothing to chance. On the last day I got in some real estate hunting and ran late to check out which was no problem several hours they held our room with our luggage for us at no charge. We would absolutely stay here again upon returning to Panama.

The JW Marriott is a wondrous place. It offers so many things in one breathtaking location. I had the pleasure of a private tour of one of the best views in Latin America. We are planning an amazing New Years party...this is one place you will want to be!

The hotel was nice enough to call and get a reservation scheduled for our anniversary. We had gotten a partial Waterview which was nice. Throughout the whole stay we had issues calling down to the front desk for simple things it would just beep and never ring through. Food was over priced and extremely small portion sizes. This all wasn’t a deal breaker until on top of that on our last day when we had come back from the pool I was showering and it was caught off guard up by a maid who just walked in without knocking. Apparently they needed to change the bed even though it was very apparent that the bed had already been changed. After the shock we’re off we realized that they had only replaced one of our towels so we only had one towel for the both of us we asked the maid on the floor and she did not have any and never brought us one nor could we ever get a hold of the front just to just bring one up for us. The hotel was recommended to us by a very close friend because he does a lot of work in Panama City but after our experience we will never be returning nor will we be returning to a Marriott at all. I have had better service at a Holiday Inn.

I really like the over atheistic and location of this hotel. The rooms are a decent size and from every room you can see the ocean. The pool is located on the East so every morning you are greeted with a beautiful sunrise and if you go to the pool early enough you have a nice sunny and warm time. However, because there are a lot of high rises in Panama after 1/1:30 pm there is no more sunshine in the pool area. The room was cleaned everyday and reset. The executive lounge was nice with a decent breakfast selection, coffee and tea. They did charge for wine though. 1 star was deducted because of the staff around the pool area. They were watching my group so closely, but not in a helpful manner. It seemed like they were waiting for us to break a rule in order to kick us out of the pool area. We constantly had to flag servers down or walk to the bar to order our food and drinks, while other guests did not. Bryan, a bellhop, was the sweetest and nicest. We relayed to him an encounter with hotel security and he was deeply apologetic. He constantly greeted us with smiles and warm greetings, gave us ideas on where to go, and just checked on us throughout our stay.

Went for my bestfriend birthday and the hotel was beautiful. Our room had a balcony with a nice pool view. The staff there was very accommodating. I had a 3 am flight and arrived to Panama at 6 am. I arrived to the hotel by 7 am. They stored my bag while I had breakfast and I explained to them how tired I was from the travel and they had me a room by 9am and brought my luggage up for me.

Feels and looks luxury but when you dive into the details, you will figure out it is not. Rooms look modern yet my shower cabin was clogged. Safe had no battery, not usable. Waited 3 hours for an available room (we arrived af 3PM) during check in. Pool area look really nice but you will see no sun becuase hotel is covered with high rises all around except sea side. Are there better options? Probably not.

Rodney, the manager, made my experience very pleasant and accommodating. He was always asking what he can do for me and my family and wanted to know if he can help. The only downside was that most of the staff doesn’t speak English but, because of Rodney this hotel deserves 5 stars.

Loved the rooms! So clean, upscale with a beautiful view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Shout out to the receptionist, his name started with a J, I forgot 😭 and Bryan he was so welcoming and polite upon first entering the hotel

Marriott never disappoints and we were blown away by our experience. With kind staff (shoutout to Ruben, the guy who checked us in) and beautiful rooms/views I would gladly come again. Especially with the luxurious executive lounge including free appetizers and breakfast for bonvoy members; plus, the pools. Will definitely come again- affordable and appealing.

Bedroom and inside the hotel is very different of the pictures. My bedroom was dirty and very old. Inside the hotel does not seem a 5-star hotel. Breakfast is not good either. The pool is super beautiful, but it´s freezing (even in Panama where is always +30 Celsius degrees).

I lived here as a residence for a year and it was a horrible experience. The biggest problem is that they never turn off the air conditioner and you are not allowed to, so I will get cold throughout my stay. Also The most traumatic experience was that for a period of time I would see grasshoppers running in my room and also some people in the concierge were uncaring when I asked them to take care of them.
