Unlike some other World's Top 50 bars there was no additional presentation or effects with the drinks, or particularly uniqueness to the bar, but we still enjoyed the holiday ambience and service. Worth a visit when you're in Panama City.

Loved our visit to Amano last night. The employees and service were amazing - friendly, helpful, and willing to go above and beyond. We sat at the bar, and I didn't catch our bartender's name (tall, great hair with a fade on the side), but he was great and spoke both Spanish and English. We came straight from the airport, and they even let us store our bags there while we ate dinner elsewhere afterward (though honestly their menu looked fun and we should have just stayed there). While it appears on a Top 50 list, it is not stuffy and formal and fancy, but rather cozy and relaxed. Highly recommend and we'll be back!

Maybe both set my expectations high up. It was quiet empty around 6 pm when I arrived on Tuesday, picked up a little by the time I am writing this review but still quiet empty. I ordered botánica after asking the bartender what’s their specialty and he recommended him based drinks. I don’t like sweet drinks so I picked botánica-it’s good but nothing exceptional.

Learned of this bar from World’s Top 50 List Bars - Discovery. House Mezcal cocktails were really good, friendly and nice staff, loved the music (I kept using Shazam to find the names of the songs they were playing!).

Amazing cocktail & food forward bar in a trendy & adorable area of panama city. Jeriel was top tier from start to finish. We chatted through how each cocktail was made that we ordered and it took the experience to new heights to converse with a cocktail master who takes such great pride in his work. We didn't eat here, but will definitely be back to try the food menu. The patio was the perfect ambiance!

This is troublesome review. Amano bar has an extraordinary ambient, it feels like a underground NYC bar. It have medium size terrace with good lightning. One con is that the music inside is very loud, so having a a conversation is impossible. Making ironic, because the feeling inside is very romantic. The prices for everything are very high, but once again this is justified by the type of clients they want. High profile and high income are the regulars. The food is from a famous chef. I haven't had all the menu, but according to others is very good. Except for the burger.

Hands down best bar in panama city. Great cocktails, food, ambience and service. Would recommend to anyone from Panama or just visiting.

My favorite was the Morrison Gin Fizz, which was like a boozy strawberries and cream milkshake. The staff was also amazingly helpful and friendly. If your Spanish isn’t perfect they are happy to speak English, explaining the drinks to you and talking cocktails. It is a bar upstairs, and downstairs is a coffee roaster and taqueria. Along with the drinks, I had squid ink risotto and tacos. All were fabulous. If you’re looking for world class cocktails, Amano will seem familiar while still feeling uniquely Panamanian. Local fruits and food, top quality spirits, and exceptionally welcoming staff make this a must visit in Panama City.
