This hotel is very clean ( you can see it, feel it and smell it), awesome food, friendly staff and reasonable prices on the items they have for sale. My husband slept like a baby on the comfortable bed. Will stay here again!!!

The hotel gets 3 stars, the Restaurant inside however gets five stars. The hotel was clean and everything was fine but our shower would not drain because it sloped in the wrong direction. It had all the basics except hairdryers. Shuttle runs every hour to airport and is very easy. The night we arrived we decided to have the Buffet. It was delicious, there were several different types of soups, paella, some local cuisine, ceviche, salads and dessert options. All we’re delicious! The buffet was $21 and included a glass of wine. ☺️

This is the perfect hotel for early morning flight out of PTY. It is not your typical airport hotel. Beautiful lobby reception area, bar has nice seating/working area. Outdoor pool (definitely not expected when your across the street from the airport). Our room was modern, comfortable, very clean, great shower, AC worked well, and the staff was friendly & helpful. To top it off breakfast was included. On our way in, the gas station was right next door so you could refuel the rental car and be ready for drop off literally across the street in the morning. Highly recommend and will definitely use again.

Execution comes up a little short. Beautiful hotel, food not good. Arrived and had to eat lunch while waiting for room to be ready. Don't expect any early check-in as the lobby was full of people waiting. Check-in process took a while, blanket was just a micro fiber throw with two sheets around it. Pillows were too large for the pillow cases. Shuttle only runs every hour so got up extra early only to have it too full. Said they would come back in 15 but as the experience started, waiting in the lobby. Convenient location, coming up short on the details.

It worked really well for a long layover. The airport shuttle runs once every hour. It leaves the hotel at the hour (not sure about start and end time though) and stops at the airport for pick ups a little after quarter after the hour. Service was good. The room was big and comfortable. The breakfast was convenient. My children also enjoyed the pool and field.ff

This hotel is O.K. It's an airport hotel and we used it for just that. But it's not super clean. Limited food options. Thin walls. Instant coffee. $3 for a can of soda. The room next door to us was screaming at 445am and banging on the walls and woke up our whole room. For convenience to catch an early flight and be close to the airport, great. Other than that, nothing special.

I had to wait until I had dinner to post this. Kudos to the property for the MAJOR changes to the restaurant. Have stayed here before, and the staff is fine, rooms are clean and basic, and the food was horrible! Not true anymore. Food is very good, and large portions. Primary attraction of this hotel is proximity to Tucumen. But food improvements got it 4 stars. Still don't understand a bar in a panama hotel that can't do mixed drinks. Not even a bloody mary.

No frills room. Website says complimentary water and coffee but it was not in the room and when I called the front desk they told me to walk down to their desk and show them on my reservation where it said that. Don’t count on coffee in room. Comfortable bed. Had to wait at airport for pickup for 35 minutes for shuttle. Hotel is 4 minutes from Tocumen airport. Hotel doesn’t answer phone and some of the posted phone numbers are no longer working. Not worth $145 a night.

Nice overnight stay after returning from Guayaquil. The room was large and comfortable. Didn't get to use the pool area but it looked very nice. Restaurant on site wasn't bad.

The night of March 25th to March 26 we stayed on room 124. Room was nice and hotel seemed great, however, do not ever forget something or leave something behind. We reached out to the hotel to advised them that a pair of headphones brand BOSE that cost around 500 dollars was left behind, we were placed on hold and told to continue calling. Several calls were made in a two weeks period, no one had a clue every time we called. I was even specific to the fact that it was left on the table right next to the TV stand. $300 on international calls later and no response. But, You would think a great hotel will also have an honest staff. After 2 weeks of trying to get a hold of someone that could respond to us in reference to our issue, all I got was an email to a manager that never had the time to come to the phone, manager was either on lunch or on a meeting. After two weeks of trying of course I was told my item was lost and never seen, after two weeks of trying I can also imply my item was stolen. It's because of this, that will never recommend this hotel as their service lacks of honesty to their customers. It's because of this that I know that they do not care about their customers.

Disappointed that there is no hot tub when they say there is. Was one reason I booked here ,as I was looking forward to a hotsoak after walking all day, before getting on plane. Breakfast buffet was terrible, dinner buffet was mediocre at best. Check in took almost 30 minutes. Service at restaurant was lacking but they were quite busy so understandable. Overall was worth the stay though as rooms were nice and quiet, bed was comfortable and you could tell they tried to give good service with the limited staff they had.

Very nice hotel. The gym and pool are amazing. Had a very mediocre club sandwich at the restaurant. Very clean rooms and clean hotel. Airport shuttle runs every hour on the hour to and from the airport (terminal 2 pickup 1:25, 2:25, 3:25 and so on… terminal 1 1:35, 2:35, 3:35 etc). Airport is 2 minutes away.

Stayed her for 6 days. Waiters and restaurant service was disappointing, sometimes rude or distracted (with exceptions). Front desk and housekeeping was good though. Clean and convenient if need to do things close to the airport.

Rooms were clean and staff is very friendly, otherwise ratings would have been lower. Food was not very good. Conveniently close to the airport if you have an early flight the next day. There is zero information on how to catch the shuttle from the airport to the hotel, so ended up taking an uber. Pool looked decent but didn't partake.

Quick check in and booking. Super kind and attentive staff. Solid beds and showers. Nothing fancy but perfect for an overnight layover stay in Panama. Gorgeous reception and pool area. Quick taxi! Half mile from the airport. Can’t beat it!

Great hotel, although we often find the breakfast service haphazard and always have to ask for coffee even when they are offering it to guests who arrive and sir down later! My only gripe really. The airport shuttle has changed the timings to accommodate the new terminal, something it would have been helpful to be told when booking, but there is no info given. We waited 45 minutes and gave up, eventually jumping in an over priced taxi. I have attached a photo of the new schedule so others are at least aware of the timings.

We have never been so happy to check out of a hotel. The ac (which we had to turn off all night so we could sleep) sounded like a train with a departure whistle every time it cycled off or on. As the room got warmer from having to turn off the ac, it smelled like stale urine. The bathroom definitely smelled of stale urine (possibly needs flushing out the floor drain). The bed sheets felt like a mixture of heavy polyester and plastic (as if they were for bed wetting). The bottom/flat sheet did not even cover the entire mattress, leaving about 2ft of mattress pad exposed. And the single blanket provided was a twin size (for a king bedroom) - luckily we didnt need it with ac turned off. The staff in the dining room for breakfast pointed to paper cups when I asked how to get a ceramic coffee mug. The yoghurt was not even slightly chilled. The best part of this hotel was the free shuttle to get to the airport!!!

Hotel was 👍🏽 great. Just needed better information regarding the shuttle service from airport. Waited almost hour and a half. Ended up taking a taxi, wasn't happy about that after a long International flight 🙃.

The rooms are nice and we slept well before our flight out the next morning, but the meal at the restaurant was super expensive for the quality of the food...and most of all the shuttle driver was very rude to us! As soon as he dropped off all the locals to the smaller airlines, he drove fast, didnt slow down for corners and barely helped with our big bags and basically snarled at us as we exited the shuttle.

Friendly staff and clean rooms. They offer lemon water at the lobby, very refreshing after a long journey. Shuttle bus every hour to the airport. The driver helped us with heavy luggage. Nice place to stay if you have an early flight.

Quick and conveniently located next to the airport. Rooms were clean, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have offered by the hotel.

Very good hotel, but the shuttle service leaves much to be desired. It will only pick you up from the airport one every hour, even if you call in advance.

Located 10 minutes away from Panama City Airport, Crowne Plaza Panama welcomes you with a large lounge and reception. The cleaning was just ok, the room quite large and I've been impressed by the very tasty food. Congrats to catering department! Also the pool area is quite a lovely place to relax. The prices seemed moderate. The facilities are not what the ones I was expecting.

Is a very conveniet hotel because its proximity to Tocumen International Airport, (3mins ) The room was clean and spacious enough, and comfortable and quite the only complain I had was with the A/C filters they were dusty. Is not a luxurouis hotel, instead very functional and convinient In regards the service, was very friendly, I forgot my wallet in the room after I check-out and I call the hotel after 24 hours, The security had my wallet and the money on it was complete. That was important to me because that says that the personnel are honest

I was traveling to Curaco i had a layover in Panama. Catching the shuttle was easy when you arrive . Walk outside and people are there to help and the Crowne plaza van is there. Be ready to show your reservation. The drive is easy but the downfall is it's near NOTHING. You have to catch a cab if you want to site see during your layover .

    1) Rooms: Rooms are pretty basic if I compare to other Crown Plaza hotels I have stayed in. No bar in the room. Not even a mini fridge. The room I checked in had hair all over the bathroom floor, even AC was not working. They shifted me to another room. Again pretty basic. It's like they don't like deep cleaning their rooms every once in a while (I maybe a cleanliness freak but still there were a few other things nobody will accept). 2) Food: Don't get me started on the food. For a foodie in me, this place is a no no. Buffet? Who keeps only 4 dishes in a buffet, out of those 4, 1 is chef's rice (basic rice), chicken with different gravy for dinner and lunch, then there's a soup. They call it a lentil soup for lunch one day and the next day same soup they'll put some boiled chicken and call it a chicken soup. I mean, really? Dessert was the best part of entire food experience during my stay. Same desert every day... a peice of creme caramel and a piece of chocolate cake... there were also times when had to skip eating desert because nobody was willing to refill the dessert station. Even for buffet, had to wait sometimes for the server to appear from his hardships of kitchen duties and serve some food for people waiting. 3) Ambience Tired and depressing.

Excellent customer service. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is great, Comfortable and clean. Kid friendly! The breakfast and lunch buffet were amazing. Fresh ingredients and great variety. Fast and very friendly service. They had a shuttle only 15 minutes away from Tucumen. They offered me a taxi because we wanted to be early (shuttle is free for taxi we paid $10). We are coming back to Panama to stay here again. One of the best hotel experiences we had.

I go through the effort to advise them my check in time. The room stunk because the ventilation was shut off and it was 90°F in it I understand the idea of conservation of power. Turning it on an hour prior, knowing when I was arriving, would have been nice and appropriate for a luxury hotel. I had to phone for towels as there were none. There was a coffee maker, cups, sugar, but no coffee in my room. There was no menu or QR code in the room to order food. For having 36 hours in advanced notice the hotel was totally unprepared. I would not recommend staying here. It was close to the airport was the good part

Clean and comfortable, but it needs maintenance on its elevator and PC's. By the way, if you are on a business trip or need to get some papers as soon as possible this isn't the best option, the charge you a minimum of 50¢ per page. I think this is essential nowadays. The transportation is good as the shuttle can take you to the airport at any time you asked for it, and it transits every 30min between the hotel and the airport. It could be better, but not bad.

This hotel was not quite as accurate as described. The lobby/entrance made it look like it was at least a mid level hotel, but unfortunately the rooms were so dated and had no amenities. I had to call and request a mini fridge and other things. The ac unit is ancient and you need to decide whether you would like to freeze or sweat that night. The 3 stars is only because the airport shuttle was very convenient and ran often between the hotel and airport.

Poor for many reasons. I had to book because restrictions of another country but I went to Panama for vacation stay at the Bristol hotel which was awesome and also in the W hotel right across the street the Bristol which also excellent. This crown plaza is more like a motel with a pool. Absolutely no Amenities what’s or ever. One little Soap and one tiny conditioner and shampoo. For the price they ask gives nothing no even a hairdryer or a little refrigerator. The other hotel same price way better location and better rooms and view. The room looks like a low budget motel. Never again o hate myself for booking 3 days here. Can’t wait to leave.

Sad experience. The cook profiled me when I asked to order some steak. He was like " it costs these dollars, can you take that?" They are also mean. They will not keep drinking water in the rooms much as you have to pay for it. Can't we have some little courtesy to provide water in the room and charge later? There is quite a lot to work on.

Loved this place, they are very close to the airport and the attention was great. They have a bus that stops by the airport to pick up customer every half hour. The rooms are lovely, the dinning room has very tasty food (it felt like a cute restaurant). The attention was superb! I enjoyed my stay and would return again.

The hotel is spotlessly clean and very close to the airport. The bed was comfortable. Oddly, there is a short little blanket under the top sheet which could cover your feet at most. Nothing else was available. I wanted to eat at the restaurant but all of the choices on the menu were upscale choices. There was nothing in a more casual category like a burger. I might stay there again because of the proximity of the airport, but there are other choices in the area.

Clean, decent restaurant. Comfortable bed. However, we were disappointed to find no mini fridge in the room, nor microwave. Quite surprising given what we paid. I left my iphone on the airport shuttle by accident, called the hotel back immediately when I discovered it gone, and they told me it wasn't found. Not saying that isn't possible, but I am suspicious. The porter was extremely hardworking, accommodating and friendly.

Pillows and bed comfortable but I think customer service could be better. This is a international Airport hotel and I think customer service and communication language with customer should be better. Dinner buffet is a little pricey. Hotel is close to Airport but hotel bus start running at 6 am. Clean room.

The hotel is nice and close to the airport. The staff is nice, however there seems to be an issue with upper management. I called to get the shuttle for 20 min and never got an answer so i took an Uber. During dinner, we got seated and no one came to welcome us and take our drink order, we never got utensils either, i had to ask. it was super busy and chaotic, the staff was trying really hard, they were not rude but was too many people to attend, it seems they didn’t have assigned tables so they were running around everywhere. some food ran out and some things were never replaced in the buffet area. Again, staff was nice just not very efficient which I think it can be fixed with management and training.

  • 2/5 Shaunna F. 2 years ago on Google
Don't eat at the restaurant. Over priced for food that is so so. The staff does not even try to communicate with you. The gentleman that helped with our luggage and the bus boy were the only staff that were friendly. The room is nice. The staff just needs to learn to make an effort. Everywhere we went in Panama people were friendly and outgoing except here. Location(airport) is the only reason to stay here.

Do not eat at this place. They have rodents. I stayed on this property for one night on June 25, 2022, with my husband and two kids, and while we were serving our food, we saw a live mouse running in the buffet area and then hiding under the table where the bread and soup were located. We notified the personnel of the hotel, but how you could eat after seeing a rodent running in a buffet area. No to mention that I was still charged for the dinner.

The hotel is okay for one night. My mom stated that her room was dirty but the guy at reception switched her to different room. If you need a small refrigerator (my mom uses insulin) you can asked for and they will bring one. Shuttle service free. Good breakfast Airport is so close It is not a fancy hotel

Not even close to the Crowne Plaza standard of service. Pathetic. Needs a management overhaul!!. 4 tables of customers and 5 staff members in restaurant. 20 minutes after being seated drink order was taken. 20 minutes later, first sip. 20 more minutes someone came back to answer questions of menu and take order. Got our own water at bar because no one showed up to refill after being asked over our 2.5 hours of our dining suffering.

Everything seems to be in slow motion here. We have stayed 3 times in the past, but since the pandemic, it has gone downhill a little. Maybe because of staffing, we don't know? The restaurant in particular is not organized, very slow service. For example, we decided to eat here upon arrival and ordered drinks when we placed our meal order. Exactly 28 minutes later, our drinks arrived. Our meals then followed 10 minutes later which was quite good BUT the soup order arrived 10 minutes AFTER the main course was eaten!

Nicely located close to the airport. Good service and good breakfast. Only low point was the bed as it had a very hard mattres, not comfortable at all. Expect to spend $15 fee one way with Uber if you wish to visit the city!

The room is confortable. The breakfast amazing. But what i like the most is the staff they are very respectful and honest, we left the hotel and in the airport we find out that we forgot an important amount of cash in the room’s desk, we called and they found and hold for us to pick it up. Thanks to the all staff

Best airport hotel I’ve ever seen. Usually airport hotels are pretty sterile environments, with people just passing through on their way to some other place. This place felt like a resort. People hanging out by bar or the pool, very lively and fun environment, and the staff is genuinely kind an friendly. We arrived in Panama late at night, and had intended to just stay at this hotel overnight and leave first thing in the morning, but we actually ended up making it part of our trip, and hanging out by the pool for the afternoon on our check-out day. Very pleasantly surprised by this place!

Rooms are sufficiently comfortable. TV is not high def, so picture quality is not the best. Great bar staff. The food is pretty good. The best thing for us is being able to leave our car while we're gone and the airport shuttle.

😠 Probably one of the worst "hotels" in the world. The neighborhood is dodgy, it's very dark and the rooms are horrible. We had cockroaches and termites in our room... we left after 20 minutes in the room. We didn't get our 60 $ back (which is a ridiculously high price for such a scam) and went to a c...
