Intimo was the best dining experience we had during our week in Panama. We were seated at the bar, which allowed us to watch the kitchen in action (the other side of the bar would've allowed diners to watch the bartenders make drinks). The inside looks to only seat ~20 and they have a garden area for seating as well. Daniella, the sous chef, took care of us so well. She was prepared beforehand from our notes that we were vegetarian, pointed out everything that was or could be made vegetarian, and was in general very lovely and friendly through the night. We got the rice dish (great textural dish), the cacio (love the ramen noodles and citrus), burrata (the macha was amazing), French toast dessert with amaretto ice cream and the deconstructed tart with coffee ice cream - both of which were spectacular. Starting with the good points which are the personnel, extremely kind and attentive and the ambience. The open kitchen is really a plus. Not really impressed by the tasting menu unfortunately. Probably too many expectations but aside the ceviche style shrimps the rest did not strike me as anything special. Frijoles as 3th plate were definitely too sweet and pasta overcooked. For 125 usd including a 45eur bottle of wine (rightly advised) and tips my experience was not worth the ticket. I give 3 stars as probably was a bad night and the menu a la carte could have been better.

Good: The space is nice, the staff are nice. Bad: Was pretty disappointed with the meal. Did the experience & the 4 dishes were pretty underwhelming, one Id say even poor, & the desert was a huge letdown. The bill was ridiculous for what we got, almost $200 & I wanted to go for a burger after.
