One of super recommendable restaurant in Panama city. The food is Peruvian style, but as a foreigner all the food was quite delicious and tasty. For more that, the price is also reasonable. Especially, I think the dark larger is the item to try it. I shall put this restaurant to a top priority when my next visit in Panama city.

Oh man, a Peruvian themed restaurant in Panama City. The Jalea Mixta was good, and was served with tartar sauce and huancaína sauce. Customer service was helpful answering questions. Thank you so much Marjorie. Price was moderate. Good for the whole family. I strongly recommend. 👍🏻

I happened to look up amazing restaurants in Panama and this popped up. The ambience was amazing and the server was very helpful and sweet. The meals are great and even though I had shellfish allergy, they catered to my needs as well. Ceviche was great. First time I had it and the desserts carrot cake and ice cream ball is a must have. Highly recommend once your in Panama

It's been hard to find good food in Panama. In two weeks this has been the best find. The ceviche was very nice and so was the fried beef heart. The Piso sour with passion fruit (maracuya) taste was a little too sweet but still ok. There was also a very nice green rice dish with raw onions. The restaurant has what the french call a "jolie cadre": spacious layout with view on an internal garden. It is also reasonably priced.

We have to thank a friend that we have tried this good Peruvian restaurant during our stay in Panama city. The atmosphere to me was reserved, but the staff was attentive and quick. The Ceviche Mercado simply was stunning. Following dishes also proved masterfully prepared. Prices were adequate. Yes, we got to get here again, quickly.

Excellent Peruvian food, but sadly, the chefs are EXTREMELY slow. I had a great experience the first time, but I almost left on my second visit after I waited almost an hour and still got nothing. The place was not even half full 😔

Some of the best food we've had in Panama. Best ceviche. Not hard and chewy. Shrimp (langostino) was great. Same with grilled octopus. All around really fresh well made food. We sat on the rooftop and it was perfect

Puntarenas iconic ceviche all of a sudden served today on June 23rd of a half size. We have been coming to this place for many years just to have its best ceviches in town. Management should do something.

The food was pretty good, but it was expensive (compared to other places in the area) and very slow even though there were as many staff as customers. We were very happy with the ceviche and our cocktails (a Pina colada and a mojito). In hindsight I wish we had just had drinks and appetizers. They do have an English menu which was nice for us who barely speak any Spanish.

We ordered a ceviche and two entrees to share. The ceviche was excellent, and one entree (steak) was very good as well, but the soup was so strange tasting I'm not sure if I'd venture in again.

Service can be slightly long but the food is worth the wait. Spacious interior with a nice terrace area for drinks.

The first time I went there, everything was fine, food is very good. Second time I went there, I stayed in the front door for 10 minutes, waiting for someone to take me to a table, and then I left, not really sure what hapenned but I felt like I was not welcome to stay at that time.

Amazing Peruvian food, both land and sea dishes are great. Also the service was top notch and there was live music.

Great food and service. I would definitely recommend Puntarenas. Wonderful atmosphere, a place where the whole family can enjoy and feel comfortable.

What a wonderful surprise this was for us. We wanted to try something new and different as so many of our old favorites are now closed. The first decision that a guest has to make is deciding where they want to sit. We were told to sit anywhere we wanted... the main dining area (as you walk in) was very inviting. But we wanted to sit outside. So the hostess escorted us to the interior courtyard. She explained that the room in front of us was holding a special event later that evening. She brought us two menus, one in English and one is Spanish, along with our drinks. As we were sitting there looking at the menus we noticed an upstairs, outside area. We enquired if we could eat up there. She said yes we could and proceeded to assist moving us there. When we reached the area we discovered it was a bar/dining area on a rooftop patio. We enjoyed the fresh evening breeze and watched the lights come on in the city. Dinner was excellent. Due to my diet restrictions I just had roasted chicken and a delicious mixed salad. My wife had the beef tips with pasta. A very large serving that she enjoyed every bite of! Service was very good and the hostess even spoke English. She was an administrative person who was helping out because they were short staffed. We were well taken care of. My wife really enjoyed the mojito drink she ordered. Great food, wonderful service, and Yes we will be back again...
