This place was recommended by several locals as an accessible place to try traditional Panamanian dishes. We got there just before the lunch rush. Decent portion sizes, friendly staff and a decent amount of space inside to eat. They also offer free wifi.

It was pouring down rain when we arrived. We were provided umbrellas and escorted in. The owner stopped the table to ensure that we were comfortable, gave us extra towels for drying off, and made sure we knew that we could dry off in the restroom. We ordered coffee, Diablo sucio, and soft drinks. For Entrada we ordered patacones with shredded beef, veggies, cheese, and a spicy cream sauce. Delicious. Spaghetti camarones, filete de Pollo, chicken fingers and an 8 Oz steak were for dinner and everything was perfect. We finished dinner with strawberry cheesecake and tres leches cake. Awesome experience. Also, the history of the diablos is all over the walls. An added bonus!

Fun place to dine! Lots of dishes to choose from and all these cool decorations give it a great vibe. I ate alone and did not feel uncomfortable at all.

(Translated by Google) Portions are plentiful and the taste is okay. Unfortunately you are put under pressure when paying to tip between 15% and 25%! The waitress also takes $ 5 in the end - albeit reluctantly. So don't pay more than you are ready!

Really enjoyed eating at this place and having authentic Panamanian food. The meat was delicious, but I personally enjoyed the plantains and the rice the most. The rice with the peas is absolutely delicious. It took a while for the food to come out but it was worth it. If I return to Panama I’d like to come back to this spot for sure.

Atmosphere felt like Chi chi's or Applebee's or some other sterile American chain restaurant. Masks are cool, but the everything else about the ambiance left a lot to be desired. The food was pretty poor. Seafood soup was chunks of over cooked rubber with imitation crab, hardly authentic seafood.

I visited evening Friday, 21 Jan because the restaurant looked kind of typical panamanian food. But even though the waiter sounded sure when i asked that my 2 choices were good and original they actually turned below mediocre. One dish with seafood on patacones had shrimps that were really nothing, and the other, a chicken soup that the waiter said was especially typical, was just boiled soup no spices no flavor, nothing. So maybe that's just typical panamanian food but my impression from my visit was that is a tourist trap. I visited panama for a couple of weeks and went there the last night before I left, so I had the opportunity to eat at some much better places in the city. The attention from the waiters was also slow, and a glass of rum that I ordered for beginning came at a glass that was sprinkled with water. So finally, even though the quality of the food and drink was not bad, it was bad in terms of preparation and presentation.

This is by far the most authentic Panamanian food restaurant in Panama City with live traditional folkloric shows every day from 8pm till 11pn

Definitely a tourist trap. This was recommended to us from another local tour. None of the beer that was on the menu was actually available. Cover price, very expensive food compared to actual authentic Panamanian food and we were even asked to leave a 5 start review. Would not recommend there are way better restaurants around. Super expensive for what you get.

A bartender recommended Diablicos to us and I’m so glad we tried it! They customized one of the main dishes to be vegetarian and it was absolutely delicious. Just let them know when you’re ordering that you’re vegan or vegetarian and they’ll tell you which ones they can change. The veggies were cooked in such an amazing sauce and the plantains were delicious. My boyfriend said the chicken in his dish was cooked and seasoned super well.

The staff is what I love the most. Very nice people. The place is nice, very well decorated. The food was delicious. Regular traditional food I would say. It is costly as almost everything in Panamá but we had a great time.

Nothing in there is Panamanian even the food that was served to us cold after about 30 minutes 3 of our main course dishes came in absolutely cold except microwaved dumplings. The people serving the food are very nice though but if you are working for your money stay away from this place, there are much better and cheaper options in the area.

I don’t know if we missed the lunch rush, or if management has changed, but we did not have the experience of the other reviewers. Service was poor — asked for a fork for my clams and had to wait 10 minutes, by which time I’d given up. The shellfish were rubbery, tiny, and missing from many of the shells. The patacones were fine but didn’t go with the flavor of the shellfish. Just fine.

Really scary from a christian point a view. But nice location , nice service.. try big platter, its delicious. Octopus not my liking. Food took long. But good... suggested is 15%,20%,25%. I gave 10%. Which is something we can afford for people.

Cool place with lots of traditional indigenous decorations inside, and traditional food as well. Located near the Palace, surrounded by gorgeous restored Colonial buildings, we ate on the patio and had some Happy Hour cheap local beers. The traditional food was nice to try but not really to our tastes, service was sparse after we ordered. I'd recommend stopping by and checking it out at least.

We went to this restaurant based on a local's advice, but after our lunch, we regretted taking that advice. The food was mediocre at best. We started things off with an appetizer, Bandeja Tipica, made to share for 3 people. It was compromised of Ceviche, Empanadas, Carimañolas (meat stuffed yuca fritters), Chorizo Tableño and Almojabanas (cheese stuffed corn fritters). At $29 this was a big miss. The best thing on the plate was the ceviche and only because the others were average. The chorizo was also overcooked and thus, very dry. For our mains we had Fried Red Snapper and Lechona Santeña. The fried red snapper was too salty. The pork chunks of the lechona santeña wee sooo dry I was choking on it. Not even the sauce that it came bathed in could help rehydrate it. Best thing on the plate was the Tamal de Olla, but again, only because the main ingredient was so bad. Based on the aforementioned experience, we decided against ordering dessert. At the price points paid for the food provided, this restaurant is definitely a one and done for me. There are a lot of better options in Casco Antiguo.

Went here for work and with my hubby and cousin. Its was an amazing time. We had lots of food and drinks and live performance with them wearing polleras and dancing to Tipico music and traditional dances. Its a bit on the a pricey side for a lot of locals but for tourists or anyone that is there on vacations this place is recommend for a Panamanian flavors. I give it like a $$-$$$ when it comes to price....but worth it. Please try the diablico cocktail!!! 🥰🤪🥴🤤

📝 Good restaurant with traditional dishes perfect if you'd like to at least get an idea of Panamanian food. 🍴 I had arroz con pollo as recommended by a local. While I can't judge on authenticity, it was most certainly of my liking and in my view also a huge portion. 📍 Only a few steps away from beautiful Plaza de Francia, I liked the interiors as well with the special devil-like masks on themes on the walls: quite fun! ☝🏼 It's a very touristic place but I liked it nonetheless. Service was relatively efficient.

Delicious food and good, but slightly slow service. The patacones filled with seafood (mariscos) were excellent as was the guacho de mariscos. We found the rice that came with the Pechuga de Pollo Diablicos a bit sweet and the chicken a bit dry, so we’d recommend the other dishes we mentioned instead of this one. The restaurant is a bit pricey but we’re also in a very touristy area so expected to pay a little more.

Diablicos is the best place to get traditional Panamanian food when you are in Panama City. The restaurant has an incredible atmosphere, there’s lots of props and decoration on the wall. In the evening there is a traditional dance and music show. The food is delicious , flavorful. The dish with the whole fish is highly recommended.

Very good Panamanian food, price is correct given the place is typical and situated in one of the central areas of Casco Viejo. Service is friendly, but they take little time to show the menu and explaining it. The place is cute, typical masks and figures all around. Bathrooms could be improved.

(Translated by Google) Nice location !!! Amazing decor !! lots of traditional diablicos masks and a few whole outfits - there is no other place like it in Panama. However, this is a restaurant serving traditional dishes and that's where the problem starts. Price-quality ratio bad. Someone who, on the basis of what he eats there, would like to form an opinion about the flavors here, does not do it better. Apart from the names, the dishes do not have much in common with the original. Traditional dances are a good idea, but the lack of space and no explanation of what you are watching make this place the last for me (and there are several in the city) that I would recommend this traditional meal with a performance to someone. (Original) Lokalizacja zacna !!! Stosunek ceny do jakości zły.

Food (garlic Corvina fish) and service was excellent. Did not like their signature drink (Coctel Diablicos) though. It tasted like spiked prune juice. But other drink selection are good. Prices were a bit high though ($25 for the fish dish). $15-$19 would be more reasonable. Did like that the receipt made tip suggestions of 15%, 20%, and 25%! Should be 10%,15%,20%. My Panamanian friend said that it's way overpriced, but it was very good food and the service was good. Ernesto (out front) was very friendly and helpful! If prices were a little lower and the signature drink, which cost $9, tastes good, I would have given 5 stars.

Pretty cool Panamanian interior docor. Colorful, cross cultural fusion ambience. The iconic character placed outside the restaurant is eye catching and it draws attention among pedestrians. I'll bet that similar gimmick will be the rule rather than an exception among all current and future restaurants and retail shops.

check twice the bill before you will pay...in Panama regular tip in restaurants is 10%; on the bill you will see just tip 25%, 15%, 20% (that is order) but nobody will mention to you that you can put lower; also if you tell to the waiter to put 10%, there is a lot of chances to put you more then 10%...they know that tourists won’t check the bill so they will try to charge you as much as possible...food is good, plates are big, it is typical Panamanian food but that doesn’t worth comparing the service...I suggest you the restaurant El Trapiche that has also Panamanian food but this kind of experience with service you won’t have there!
