Great hike and beautiful views, compare to other ones this is quite easy, as there is a route almost to the top of the hill. Be ready for the strong wind and rainy showers. If you go for sunset do not forget a torch or charged your phone so you can use your flash

We loved it! The walk up took about 2 hours or so but we took our time. The trail is easy to find. Just use google maps on satellite mode and you can see the trail and junctions. I then dropped a pin on those junction points to navigate the course. Be ready for the strong wind as you approach the summit. Views of the Valle and the Pacific Ocean are awaiting you!

Wonderful view. Nice rock trail once you enter the trailhead. Benches to enjoy the view and connections to other trails if you choose. From this view you can see the other Cerros. We walked from town and it was about 3 hours round trip. My husband could have done it faster but I am slower and we enjoyed the view for a bit. Parked on the main street and walked back to Millionaire road then took the road of El Valle Resort and Refugio Cariguana. The road looks like it ends on Google but that dirt road keeps going for a long while. Just keep straight on it. You will eventually see a little yellow painted sign that says 'Cerro Cariguana' and that is where the incline starts and less shade. Would definitely need 4x4 if in a vehicle with good clearance. It went for a while more and then we made it to the trailhead, there is a sign and a small building. Around 50 minutes to this point. No fee to enter. Follow the rock trail from there. Enjoy the views Also if you feel like just starting at the trailhead some people talked about the Bodhi hostel having transportation up there.

Such a wonderful hike! We went during the week and there was no people at all during our entire hike. The hill is a bit steep when going up but once you are on top the views are breathtaking. Definitely worth the effort!

(Translated by Google) It has an impressive view, like all the hills around the Anton valley, it is easily accessible and its difficulty is not very high, if you are not used to walking it may be difficult since it has a good couple of steep hills. (Original) Tiene una vista impresionante, cómo todos los cerros alrededor del valle de Antón, es de fácil acceso y su díficultad no es muy alta,si no estás acostumbrado a caminar es posible que cueste ya que tiene un buen par de lomitas empinadas.

Awesome hike, the loop took about 3 hours and doesn’t require much more than a bottle of water. Put sunscreen on ahead of time.

Loved this hike. We parked at Mercado Artesanal- had asked for directions at the tourist information center- thankfully! Not really marked and most of the walk up the road we weren’t sure it was the right one. But saw one faded sign, so kept going. Then, after about 50 minutes walking (~2mi from our car at the market) we arrived at the trailhead. From the road at the trailhead sign, it was a 10min walk on the trail to the very top. We could see the Pacific Ocean but it was a bit hazy. Beautiful views of the valley. As others have said much of the dirt road is very steep. One truck passed us. Up and back from the market took just under 2hrs, (we jogged much of the way down) elevation gain ~1100 feet. No fee. Highly recommend!

(Translated by Google) Nice tour, less known of the other (India Dormida) that everyone does. That's why there are fewer people there. It offers good views of the Valley. It is better to do it with guidance, because it is not good marking and you can lose your way without realizing it. The end of the sense comes to 3 hills that look like camel humps, but they call them an iguana face (... and I do not understand why🤷♂️) enjoy it, I recommend it.

Beautiful trail but very difficult if you start walking from the city center. It’s take 1.5 hour each way if you walk fast.

It is relatively easy to reach the top by walking from the center of town, but you must have certain physical conditions due to the slope of the terrain. Nature lovers will love the path as you can see many species of plants and animals. The landscape from the top is very beautiful, at any time of the day. Unfortunately, unscrupulous people have thrown garbage along the road and near streams that originate on the hill, which is very unfortunate.

Really an amazing hike! You get a beautiful view of the town when you make it to the top. The hike up the gravel road is the most challenging part, it's extremely steep. We went the beginning of April and the wind was wild! Made for a very unique experience.

(Translated by Google) A beautiful place with a low difficulty except when you get to the top since the wind is very strong but once you pass that you reach the top of the hill walking along a narrow path not recommended for people who suffer from vertigo. (Original) Un hermoso lugar con una dificultad baja exepto cuando llegas a la cima ya que el viento es muy fuerte pero una vez pasas eso llegas a la punta del cerro caminando por un camino estrecho no recomendado para personas que sufren de vértigo.

Its easy to find the trail there. Most of the hike is on gravel dirt road. Once to reach the green sign of tbr entrance, follow the path behind it into the pine forest. Easy path to follow and the view was amazing!

Downloaded the roundabout from Wikiloc, there's a gravel road better for cars with good clearance from ground (AWD better) after a Km or so you'll find the billboard showing entrance to the trail (Reserva Hídrica Cariguana). From there is just a 30min walk to the top, steep but easy. Great view of El Valle.

(Translated by Google) You want to get out of the routine, and have a good time with nature, I recommend it. 🥰 The path to get here can be walking or by car as long as it is 4x4, the place of entry to the hill itself is not difficult. I appreciate if you visit not to leave your garbage, remember that if we want to preserve these beautiful places we must put our fist to help. (Translated by Google) The climb is very steep in a path of gravel and rocks, which can be very slippery in rainy weather. Luckily, during our climb, it was sunny! The breeze is good. Once at the top, there are several options of point of view, it's impressive! You can see the ocean and the valley formed by the surrounding mountains. Beautiful pictures!
