Feb 2023 - Great hotel, great food and best of all amazing service. Convenient to airport. Airport to hotel $20 cab, hotel to airport was $35 😳 so i suggest Uber. Rooms are amazing, pool was cold but super clean. Worth spending a little extra. Felt safe!

We stayed in a gold suite because we were lucky enough to be upgraded. Unfortunately, it wreaked of smoke. We asked for an air freshener, they never brought it. Black mold in the shower. Water never actually gets hot. Hotel cleaners leave black hairs all over the bed. Sheets smell like smoke. The place was pretty dirty. Carpets are gross. Couldn’t use the bathtub because it was freezing cold water. 1 star hotel pretending to be 3. Will never return.

Pool closed.... that's understandable because of the virus but closing the terrace with the beautiful view makes no sense very disappointing.... hotel is in a great location but shows the sign of Aging... worn down scratched furniture Worn rugs Etc no water as advertised no glasses in the room not enough towels no robes no hair dryer no coffee maker no mini bar or a microwave.... a real disappointment considering it's a Marriott now I understand why they have low rates on special now....

To be honest I really wanted to give this hotel 5 stars. But my group experienced a roach problem on the third floor of Le Meridian in Panama City, Panama. The staff was not responsive when reported and that is totally unacceptable. As beautiful as the hotel is, not having any hand towels and roach infestation left a bad taste in my mouth.

Good hotel. The location is perfect right in the heart of the new city. We had a platinum suite, terrific room with great views. The staff were wonderful, extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was average, the choice was limited to either American or Panamanian. Great stay.

I stayed here for a week and just loved the stay here. The service and the breakfast was really good. Just one con it has steps to go to the hotel and there was no one to help to take the suitcases up.

All the clients that I have had staying at Le Meridien, loves it. Nice location right at Avenida Balboa, Across Cinta Costera, close to several restaurants, and also inside the Financial Distric of Panama City.

It's a a boutique hotel in a great location with excellent service. I gave it a 5 star because of its people. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and attentive. In particular, the two ladies at the restaurant--Melina and Diana--are the just nicest. They made the happy hours highlight of my busy schedule there everyday. I will definitely stay there again next time in Panama City!

Shouldn’t be considered a Marriott. They don’t recognize status, we made the reservation on the Bonvoy app and they said they didn’t have any rooms. Ruth sent us to another hotel at 10pm because apparently they don’t have a reservation booking system that works, we also had to wait for her to check in another couple that got to the hotel after we did. She checked them in without solving our situation (their mistake) first, so we were just seating there waiting. Also implied that it was our fault because we made the reservation on the same day… it felt pretty surreal. Why show availability if you don’t have any… for platinum elite members…no benefits. We asked her to please cancel the reservation because it would charge us if we did, and she didn’t. Called this morning, spoke with Jennifer and explained what happened and still wasn’t offered to go to another Marriott. The Residence Inn has impeccable service.

Great location for Panama City! I give it 4 stars because the gym was okay. Some equipment was not working but it was relatively clean. They definitely need new exercise equipment and disinfecting wipes in the gym. The maid service was decent but it varies. Some days we were out 6 hours and they had not touched our rooms. The front desk was very helpful in getting me a car service for the airport and giving me information on tours of Panama City and the canal. The restaurant staff was excellent every day. The Uber’s are very fast to get you and cheaper than the yellow taxis who tried to charge me 4 times the amount for the same trip. I had a chance to walk the shoreline one day and that was great. The view of the Panama Bay is beautiful. Great location for the trip.

Hotel is nice, staff is well trained and quick to help. We are Marriott Elite members and staff was knowledgeable on our benefits and proactively offered them. Room was clean and house keeping did a great job daily. Breakfast included continental, hot items that rotated daily and omelette station.

5/10 hotel. When we arrived only one person was working at checkin. Waited 20 minutes when they should have just added another employee. Room itself was very dark. Carpet was stained. The walls are quite thin. I was able to hear my neighbors tv on all night and had to sleep with headphones to drown out the noise. Pillows were uncomfortable and only gave one type. We had a request a tea kettle. Asked for it 3 times, never arrived. Waited in room for hours waiting for it. Breakfast is very sub par. Omelette station was the best part. I am unsure how this has 4.5/5 on google. It is nowhere close

Stayed here recently for a short vacation. Room was very clean and lobby is nice. But the star of the stay was breakfast and Happy Hour. We had Jose help us each morning for a beautiful, filling breakfast buffet with lots of options. Jose knew our coffee preference after the first day and made sure we started the day off right. We also enjoyed happy hour almost every eveing and thank Oscar for the attentive service.

They took my credit card at checkin and charged $100 for potential incidentals. Two months later, they have never refunded my $100. Despite multiple calls, no one can help resolve this. I even tried Marriott International. As a Bonvoy member I am appalled. It is not about the $100. It is about customer service and integrity. Beware.

Screwed up my Hilton reservation so I found the closest hotel to the meeting site. I am Marriott member so they were able to give me upgrade. Beautiful upgrade. Nice restaurant. Prices very reasonable at the bar. They make a pretty good chaipirinha Made from seco!

Just around the corner from the Waldorf Astoria, we moved here for the last 2 nights of the trip. The location is great with restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance while still only a $3 Uber ride away from Casco Viejo. If you get a room on the bay side the view is AMAZING! The room was nice and the beds were comfortable, though the blackout curtain did allow a bit of light in from the end. Our biggest gripe with the room was the rolling bathroom door which was loud, not long enough to close entirely, and had a loose door handle.

We stayed here as a stopover for a cruise. When we arrived we were told we were upgraded to a suite. However once in the room we found it to be very cold. The set point was at 18 C (around 65 F). My wife wanted to take a bath in the large tub, but the water was Luke warm. Hard to like if you are freezing.

Terrible service. Staff Clearly did not want to be working there. Nobody seemed happy to be there. In a country full of lovely and kind people this was a sad location. Do not go there until the management makes some changes (likely to themselves).

Been there for a small 15-year-old celebration as well as for brunches. It is a nice chic place. I haven't seen the hotel rooms but I they should be pretty much like those in the Westin & Miramar Intercontinental.

The rooms are wonderful and perfect for couples. Not sure if it's all rooms but the one we had has a see-through panel between the shower and bed and was generally designed to be a romantic spot for honeymooners or couples in Panama for a lovely vacation. The pool was tiny and filled to the brim with children. So if you have small kids that need a place for playing with other kids then it's perfect but if you're a childless couple you might as well count this place as not having a pool if that's an important factor to you. Location is very metropolitan and nestled in a spot with amazing sushi everywhere. Staff were wonderful 🖤.

It's quite an excellent hotel with state of the art facilities and wide clean rooms. Reception service is quite too slow and not friendly compared to other hotels. Plenty things are missing upon checking in, like bath towels, toothbrush etc. There restaurant serves impressive good tasting food with good and helpful servers.

The hotel was lovely and located in a beautiful part of the city surrounded my lots of place to shop and eat local cuisine. I especially loved the buffet breakfast offered every morning with bottomless supply of good coffee.

Stayed for 8 nights, to say that they cut corners is an understatement. They seem understaffed, no concierge, no longer have valet etc. The facts of basic toiletries being very scarce is amazing. I guess a person is expected to use one soap at the sink then take it into the shower and bring it back out. While one may think this was an oversight....NO, happened to.pur friend that joined us for 4 nights. We booked the room.and same issue also. The HVAC is very nice and drapes do not close properly, just the right crease to let the am sun shine in on your sleeping face. Would not return. The staff overall were good. The cleaning staff were excellent. Overall cleanliness was very good and the location is great.

What kind of hotel doesn't answer the phone? I tried calling 3x on 3 different days and nothing. Unprofessional.

Showed up at 3pm for my check in, didn’t get in my room until 4:30 because they didn’t have ANY rooms available. I made my reservation in October, so how is this even possible? After I got my key, all they had to say was “sorry,” nothing else for the inconvenience. Upon checking out, I realized one of my expensive perfumes was missing, spent the whole afternoon arguing with management to check the cameras, etc… Please please please do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay here

Gold member on business travel and told hotel was sold out and have to move to a hotel 20 minutes away. The front desk manager was the most apathetic and unhelpful person I’ve ever encountered. Multiple other Marriott hotels closer than the alternate and she refused to help or do anything. No apologies either. This is a horrible showing for Marriott.

The hotel room cleaning is just bad. They don't do it well and twice my room wasn't locked after cleaning. They also didn't restock the water and toiletries until I have to ask for it. The bath floor matt was also not provided and needed to be requested everytime. However the staff at the restaurant are extremely nice!

For the price it is a stellar choice. And pet friendly. Good buffer breakfast. Free parking. And a great location!!

Platinum suite had lots of room. Nice location. Furnishing and decor was a little dated but I would stay again. Hotel has a free parking parking lot steps from the front door. This was a quick trip between flights so I didn't have a chance to really explore the hotel or the area. Definitely a decent place though.

Pathatic services by restaurant staff, doesn't know how to serve, gave cereal in platic packet, no spoon, no bowl even after asking they brings one thing at a time. Reception mostly emptly, you need to call someone if u need any help from reception, check in or check out. Very less manpower, need to wait for 15 minutes for one check in. Don't recommend to anyone.

All well, except sockets, all sockets is American type. You cannot charge your telephone if your charger European type. No any USB on the sockets to charge the phone.

Not too many staff. Expect a long wait for food at SARIL KITCHEN AND LOUNGE. Food size is very small. Nice location though.

Supposedly this is a 5 star hotel. NOT!😢 While the room itself was large and spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the towels were large and soft, many details one would expect at any hotel were lacking. We had to request drinking glasses (plastic) since none were available in the room. No tissues, no hair dryer in bathroom. AC was either too cold or too warm, was challenging to regulate. Ordered 2 coffees and they brought 1 cup. I guess we were supposed to share the cup.😱 Lights are controlled by inserting room key into a slot beside the door. Good idea to conserve electricity, however when you remove it, all the lights and outlets for charging our devices were disabled. Another pet peeved of mine is that the blockout drapes don’t close completely which is not unique to this property. Good location.

Very nice hotel right on the main drag. Close to food, drinks and shopping. Very safe area. Rooms are nice but windows do not open... Pool is on the roof and there is no jacuzzi... Breakfast buffet is very good and different every day.
