We would defiantly return. Clean, bright, modern, and welcoming. Excellent food especially the breakfast from 6am to 10am. Plenty of time to lie-in. Efficient room service. Central, convenient location. Safe neighborhood for evening walks. All Tour Companies include this hotel as a point of pick up, and drop off. A variety of restaurants, bars, convenience stores, drug store in easy walking distance. Roof top swimming pool, jacuzzi, (neither heated), and bar. Great view of the city at night. Comfortable loungers, and sofa chairs. Well equipped gym on the same level. There is a sauna, and steam room. Thy were not in use when we were there Value for money.

Great staff. A big thank you to Gaby and all the front desk staff for their professionalism and care. From the front the food servers to the cleaning staff, they are very caring and helpful. The hotel is very clean as well as the rooms. The breakfast is better than most hotels around. Great options with fresh fruits and hot meals. Clean and spacious rooms. Walking distance to shops , high end and budget restaurants and cafes. I would recommend this hotel. Great value.

This is a four-star hotel with a 3.5 star rating. It really is wonderful. The breakfast here is excellent, the people are excellent, and although it is not super fancy 5-star, it is a very solid 4 for an excellent price. Here is a detailed review of the room and the pool and the breakfast. I have to say that it was a rocky start. Check in: When we arrived around 2:45 our room was not ready. And I thought it was a problem, until I realized that we arrived early. The front desk person (there are only 2) said that we could go to the pool and leave our luggage right there in the lobby. That made me feel a little bit uncomfortable, as I’m accustomed to other hotels putting little tags on your bags and having a special luggage room while you wait, but this was just a different situation and we needed to trust it. The front desk person was very nice. We asked for an upgraded room floor, and he started to research that and then he said the type of room we required (which featured bunkbeds) was only available on a certain floor. Fortunately it was high up enough to have a little bit of a view. Since the room was not ready and we were going to go to the pool, we also grabbed a drink at the bar. The room itself was also a bit of a disappointment at first, because although we had a view, I knew there were better views from other parts of the hotel, but it was functional. It had bunkbeds, one of them squeaked a little, and there were marks on the wall; unfortunately they picked a creamy white wall color, which was probably pretty conducive to having marks on it, especially with the type of room that would have a bunkbed and young kids. Perhaps they should consider repainting in a neutral color with a scrubbable finish instead of a matte finish. I was really happy with the toiletries and the bath was clean (there is no tub, just a shower). And the bathroom was modern. In giving the room a second look, it was totally fine, I was just viewing it from a five -star lens. it really was just aesthetically a few marks on the walls here and there and although the bunkbed squeaked, that was mostly because I had a restless 18-year-old boy sleeping in it. We stay in lot of 5-star hotels, so I expect a 5-star room, but I kept having to remind myself that this was not a 5-star hotel and not expect perfection. The real star of the show is the rooftop pool. Keep in mind that the hot tub is not hot. I don’t know if it is supposed to be hot. I don’t know if I would even want it to be hot. I think perhaps maybe it is not supposed to be hot, but it is wonderful and the bubbles are really soothing and it is the same temperature as the pool. We stayed in the pool for hours admiring the view, and then we ordered drinks from the pool bar. They were so friendly, and the happy hour lasted for 5 hours! Vibe of the clientele: Very international. We saw some couples and a lot of families traveling with older children. Families with teenagers, not a lot of little kids running around. We saw a guest being really rude to a person at the front desk. The attendant handled him with dignity and did not raise his voice. Check out was easy. Neighborhood felt a little sketchy at night but not unsafe. Just be aware you are in a city. Use your city attitude and have city awareness. We walked a few blocks to dinner. A few stores were also open. Although they normally charged for breakfast, the concierge was able to comp it for us. It was a buffet. The juices were really great and everything seemed hot and fresh, not warmed over like it had been sitting there for days. In addition to breads and cereals and yogurt, there were sautéed potatoes, and stewed meat and other offerings. Lots of great fresh fruit options as well. A nice surprise! Would stay here again. Price was excellent and it felt like a mini-vacation. For the price, this hotel was really really quite comfortable and the pool and pool bar service was excellent!

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We arrived early and checked out late. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were able to leave our luggage at the desk. 10/10 recommend this hotel.

Clean, good smelling room. Parking works great! But as often a bit noisy air condition and something else, which you cannot influence. The Pool in full sun is a little useless.

Please do not believe the pictures you see here. I do not under the review left by other people but this hotel is a huge SCAM! The breakfast is terrible! The gym is disgusting(see pictures below) I mean everything about this hotel is a complete ruse. The pool area is disgusting and I mean the elevator never worked and nearly killed me. This hotel must have fake reviews because this place is not worth the money and not worth the stay. Never again! I am appalled by Wyndham brand to allow this place to be in operation. I am disgusted will never stay again! The rooms were filthy as well. I literally cut my stay here short.

Great customer service! Friendly staff but especially front desk. We had our Copa flight cancelled and the man at the front desk (I forgot to get his name unfortunately) he called Air Panama and translated so we could get a new flight. We couldn't book online and had to go to airport to pay, but he helped us with all that. They also had a pickup upon arrival that was seamless...driver was waiting with our name on a sign. Very quiet room, large buffet breakfast. We stayed 7 nights. Appreciate all their efforts.

All employees at the reception were really great. Helpful, polite and smiling. We felt like in a top notch 5 star hotel. We arrived at 10 am and were told that we could even get a room but it would be in the 1st floor. Other proposed option was to leave or bags in the hotel, go into the city and later get another room with a great view (which we selected). Rooms were clean, modern, bright and spacious. Pool is OK but small and water was not really inviting. Breakfast was fine as well.

Great hotel in a great location. The free breakfast is better than a restaurant's, I was very impressed. Rooftop pool has amazing views you can spend hours there just feeling the breeze. Highly recommend!!

Definitely a great place to stay. From the smooth check-in to the rooftop pool, everything is top-notch. The room was very comfortable. The TV had many English channels and the bed slept like home!

I was a bit disappointed in the rooms of the hotel - the photos online are very flattering and the real rooms are more dated. My room had an overwhelming smell of pool and damp which I had to blast air-conditioning to try get right of. In my first room, I turned the air conditioner on and quickly found a small flood. A small waterfall was coming out, which was really dangerous as it quickly took over the slippery floor. It was the first night I had arrived after an 16 hour journey and I was so exhausted. Instead of offering me another room or apologizing (which they never did actually), they had me wait in the room while the engineer came and looked at it for around 40 minutes. In Spanish I heard that someone propose covering the flood with a couple of towels and trying to fix it the following day while I stayed in the room. Thankfully they did not do this and eventually offered me another room. The next room was better, still an overwhelming smell of pool and with a very tired couch and bathroom. The pool, when I went up, was cramped and full of smokers. Not their fault but in a small protected area, I would suggest they don't allow smoking as it does really stagnate. It's smaller than it looks on the photos so I didn't use it. A very nice view though. To use the sauna you have to ask someone who unlocks it and sets it up. The steam room was out of service. The gym was fine, a limited selection of machines but would have been fine. The staff at the reception really do go out of the way to help and make the stay as great as possible. From tips to directions, help printing and advice, they were the best thing for me. I found the breakfast very average. The location is good, in Bellavista but not in the centre of where things are happening. Overall the best thing for me was the staff at reception, but I felt that the photos, rooms and facilities just do not live up to the photos online. Unfortunately I would not stay again.

We spent 2 days of our honeymoon in this hotel. Originally we booked an executive suite and when we came to check in, the receptionist gave us a downgraded room without any explanation. Once we saw the room, we knew that was not what we had booked. We complained and only after that they told us that the room we had booked was not in use due to some AC problems. Even though we didn't like how they tried to give us cheaper room without saying anything, the manager made us another offer and apologized for the inconvenience. So it was sorted out at the end. The hotel has a pool on a higher floor with a new view. The breakfast was not so good, many things were not fresh, especially the little fruit that was there. It was also overcrowded and some guests even had to sit at the bar. We can recommend this hotel for it's great location.

Hotel was fine. The location very good, very nice view, pool area on the rooftop so it makes impression as well! However it needs renovation… we stayed in suite room on the last floor, unfortunately the state od the room was not as we expected… old broken furniture, in the „living room space” was nothing, only sofa… shower needs replacement… Breakfast extremely poor… bread was old, no choices… not worth it… And unfortunately no one in the hotel speaks english! except 2 staff at thr reception… not possible to speak to staff at the bars or restaurant… very uncomfortable!! And it is 4* star hotel…

Overall good experience - nice rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast, fair price. The rooftop pool was decent with good view but more chairs would have been nice. Gym was ok. Centrally located (although a bit far from the old town).

I loved this hotel. I was travelling solo and I felt safe here and it was so well kept and clean. The gym is very nice too, working treadmills and machines. It can feel a bit unsafe in this area once it’s dark, if you are alone. With a group at dark I’m sure it’s not a problem. The breakfast each day was amazing, the room service was so sweet and kind. Thank you for the great accommodation 💜

Good value for what it is. Service was adequate and the location is great for those visiting the city. It is smack in the center of everything. I'd recommend it for those travelling on a budget.

One of the nicest hotels centrally located in Panama city. We spent a week here, finding great places for coffee nearby and close enough to walk to other sections of town.

Reception: Jonathan is a star reception employee! He is smart and helped me choose a king size bed and even included the breakfast in my registration. Lobby: Clean and is well kept. Elevator: Clean and works fine. Room: Clean, bed was comfortable, and enough pillows provided. TV and remote work fine. Bathroom: The shower has good flow, hot water, and house keeping personal were great! Coffee maker works fine. No flaw in the room. The curtains are fine. Pool: Small but clean. Restaurant: Great! It has special meal for lunch. Breakfast: Very nice and lots of variety! The reception will give you change for bills! Arrange taxi on demand. Thank you TRYP at Panama Centro for the comfortable stay! Cheers!

Location was good.. Additional discount when we were check-in, check-in was easy. Breakfast was good.. Food ordered via room service was well presented and tasty.

Absolutely friendly and nice stuff. Hotel with pool and breakfast and a good place to stay. Top. The only one thing who I missed was the cleaning after the second day. But all in all top.

  • 5/5 Randy S. 2 years ago on Google
It deserves 4.7 stars. The location, near the metro and with many restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance, is excellent. The staff -- especially Jonathan at the front desk - was very friendly and efficient. The breakfast is really good and happy hours on the rooftop patio are excellent. The room air conditioning made the room too cold despite our best efforts. All in all, the hotel has very good value for the money.

Good facility but they try to take your money everyway they can.. you cant warm up food you have....or provide change after 100 bill. And they dont want to clean your room and make the virus an excuse.

  • 4/5 Markus 2 years ago on Google
The hotel room is nice and the served breakfast was tasty. What bugged me is that corona is used as an excuse to not tidy the room. You need to leave the room and explicitly ask for your room to be cleaned.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. The rooms are well maintained and have comfortable beds. Location is good. The rooftop area (where the pool is) feels a bit neglected and could be a lot nicer, but still nice to have a pool on the roof. Unfortunately the sauna is closed because of Covid.

Perfect for a short stay. Close to shore and financial district, lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Room small but comfortable. Everything worked fine. Bath room could offer more shelf space.

Perfectly fine for a chain hotel, although the rooftop bar could use some work and the breakfast could be better. Definitely good value for the money, modern, and reasonably situated in El Cangrejo.

Clean place, glad they offer parking however, you should drive a small vehicle to have better access to the parking. The food they serve is good. The gym should be expanded.

Night front desk person was EXCELLENT! Jordan made up for the hotel short comings. All the other staff was very friendly and helpful as well. The room was good but several items need maintenance. Room 301: The bathroom door sticks at the floor. The safe had the front broken exposing the electronics possibly in such a way to unlock without the code.

Pretty happy with this place. Rooms were very nice. But there was a little bit of run down feel to the vibe. Pool bar wasn't open. A little short on service. Overall very good, but I think it needs some attention. Views from the pool are beautiful.

Good spot, close to the metro, solid breakfast, very reasonably priced / equivalent value for the money, free parking, safe neighborhood at night, good spot if you are in the city for a night or two and just need a clean and basic stay. Note the pool is on the tiny side, the pictured hot tub does not get hot, brighter side of things, they do have a working steam room and the evening views are nice.

I have been staying at this Hotel for the last 6days and I most say it been good so far not great. Let me explain why I am giving them a 4 ⭐. It all started when I check in I got a room with a king size bed for 2 which is for a couples when I asked for a room with 2 double beds. I was move into another one with a king size bed and a pull out sofa which my brother had to sleep on. The next day we got the correct room. The second room had roaches in the bedroom so we were disappointed and wanted to leave. The correct room we got was much better and clean and no roaches so far. Whenever we leave and come back the room is clean and fresh and towel renew however the housekeeper failed to replace the bottle water in the room so we had to purchase a big bottle from the store. That been sayed if all those issues are resolved on my next visit then I sure will review my comments and improved the star ⭐.

It was a nice room, pool on the smaller size, good 2x1 everyday until 8pm. No ice machine has to keep going to bar to refill, and it closes at 9pm so couldn't get more ice if I wanted, fridge on the room didn't cooled. Breakfast was just ok. No options for vegetarian or vegan. Just sausages, pancakes, scrambled or egg boiled eggs, abd wedges. Fruit and parfait, and some pastries. Breakfast was disappointing.

Exceptional hotel. Quiet, clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was pretty good and was included in my rate. Pool area could use some maintenance as tiles were falling off Pool and floor of shower area. The building in the pool area could use some cleaning and paint.

A good hotel located around several delicious restaurants, hotel food wasn't all that great, just eat out. The service was excellent, the rooms were a little old but not bad. It had a really cool rooftop gym and pool.

Very nice hotel in the center of Panama city. It is right by the metro station and well located, halfway from the old town and the more developed neighborhoods. The rooms are big and clean. The staff is very kind and the breakfast is delicious!

Polite, professional staff, & with my genius status was upgraded to a sizeable suite on the 8th floor - Room 808. Two large bathrooms! Parking is tight - have to go up a steep incline, after buzzing a bell, and the road is only wide enough for traffic to go one direction, and with tight corners, dangerous. The lobby is bright, modern, open and nicely laid out. Complimentary breakfast included. TV has very limited channels & constantly cut out. Couch is uncomfortable as were the pillows. The bed had limited blankets and also was not the most comfy. The view from the suite - from the living area and the bedroom is one of Panama life! Difficult to find the hotel. Not close to a lot of amenities. They have a great check out time - noon yet we had to be out by 7:00 am to get on the road. They have room service which we did not partake in as we had picked up food on our way from the airport. We arrived around 9 pm, and no times given as to when the room service ended for the night. Good value for the $ and was a fairly quiet stay. Some banging heard.

Please note that I only spent less than 12 hours at this hotel as I was on a stopover waiting for flight the next morning so my review is rather limited. When I arrived (after 9 pm) I was quickly checked in and received information on the food options for the evening and also about the buffet breakfast the following morning. Upon entering the room I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious and well equipped it was (especially with price I paid thru booking.com). Beds were comfortable, the tv worked, wifi was good and the shower was great. I had somehow lost my toothbrush in my journeys and the front desk was able to supply one (plus toothpaste) free. Breakfast was great. Lots of selections and the fresh fruit was a welcome addition. Checkout was painless and quick. Highly recommended whether it is for a quick lay over or an extended visit.

The hotel is nice but some of the stuff needs a lot of customer and conflict training. The sub manager Mr. Ricardo is being specially rude and insulting with customers. He did not explain his point and didn’t care to understand a situation but literally said he wouldn’t care. He was very aggressive and approached us inappropriately close. Due to his behavior we will not be coming back to this hotel as long as he is on the stuff.

Three nights here. The hotel is OK. Rooms are a little tired and not very soundproofed against corridor noise. The wifi and aircon worked well, the room safe was useful. There was an old fashioned coffee maker but no kettle. The hot water in the shower was never more than lukewarm. Small rooftop pool, fitness room with a couple of running machines, bike, a few weights, chest press, swiss balls and stretch mats. Sauna and steam room. The breakfast buffet was OK, coffee a bit weak, some of the bread and pastries a little stale. The neighbourhood is not interesting to walk around but there are cafes, restaurants, mini markets, fast food places nearby. The hotel is convenient for the domestic airport at Albrook.

Great location and great service. We got a room upgrade to corner suite which was an amazing surprise. The suite had a living room and two full bathrooms! Christhy at the front desk suggested we do the San Blas islands tour and at $135 per person, it was another amazing surprise. Made our vacation more memorable indeed. The lobby restaurant has delicious seabass ceviche and burgers! TRYP is a hotel pick up point for the Panama Canal experience which is a must do on your visit!
