This hotel is a very good value for your money. They offer free breakfast every morning, the accommodations are spacious, clean, and modern. However, the best part of our stay there was the view. It's definitely worth it for that alone.

The view from room deserves more than 5 stars, it was magnificent. The room was comfortable and clean. I'm giving 3 stars for customer service. Here is what happened: we stayed at hotel just one night. We had a very busy and hard day as I had an accident that landed me in the emergency room. When we checked in, I asked the front desk gentleman if they had water. He said there was water in the room. When we got to room, there was just one little bottle. If they knew that we were 2 people, why did they leave 1 bottle? After settling at room, my husband went downstairs to get water as we were very thirsty. He forgot his mask. The front desk guy said they did not have water and directed him to the bar, where he could buy a bottle of water. He found three employees there, no customer present. In a rude manner, they told him that they will not serve him without a mask. My husband said he just needed water. They responded "go and get your mask". That is beyond ridiculous. It was 11 pm., we are tired. They could just give him the water and be done. We understand the need of mask, but common sense and compassion could have been used. In the overall I can say, other employees, like the front desk were courteous and room was comfortable. This hotel is close to many places in Panama city. For the records the events I am describing happened on the night of November 1, 2021

A wonderful hotel. With great facilities and staff. A perfect location in the city. All of the staff was eager to assist me especially with my lack of the Spanish language. If someone didn't know English they were quick to grab an English-speaking co-worker. Never did I find myself in trouble by not being fluent in their language. The breakfast buffet was a great place to start the day. Perfect food and coffee. I did eat a dinner buffet there as well and the food was awesome. Over the top! When I return to Panama city, this time with my family, the Plaza Patilla Inn will be where we stay.

There is no fridge and coffee maker in the rooms. We had to ask for the fridge and thet said it is because of the pandemic! I told them a traveled to many places during the pandemic and all the hotels had the coffee maker and fridge. So they only provided us with a fridge not the coffee maker! 2. There is no cup in the room. They only gave us 2 plastic cup first day and they never replaced it! 3. They do not provide you with bottle water. You have to keep buying water from outside. All the hotels I have been in Panama or the Caribbean at least, have provided us with bottle water ( 2 per day) but at this hotel, you are responsible to get your own. We had 3 weeks stay at this hotel, so imagine then number of times and money we had to spend to get the Ober and walk to nearby grocery store and pay for the water. This was the biggest disappointment about this hotel. 4. Three times in Panama before and the hotels provide you with small body lotion and showe gel. When we checked in the first day and went to take showers and found out there is no body lotion and shower gel, the front desk said they do not supply the guests with those so we had to take the uber and go to the nearest store and buy those items! 5. Breakfast was so limited and I was out of options. I did not enjoy the breakfast and I was leaving the the breakfast table hungry every morning. 6. Pool was not clean and was not well maintained! 7. There is not enough of lighting in the room and hallway, I found it too dark in the room

Absolutely worst customer service! "Clarence" one of the desk agent, asked if we had a reservation, which we did. We reserved 2 rooms. He said it was only for 3 people, I told him that we reserved 2 rooms. He finally found it. We asked if we could have the rooms on the same floor, his answer was no, I already placed you on two different floors. I ask him could he please check, because I was with my elder parents. He said no, he already check. The agent next to him, told him there were rooms on the same floor. He said he had to check again. 1 minute later he throw the Keys on the counter top and said here's your keys. I asked if they were on the same floor and he said yes. Gave me paperwork to sign and said, we are DONE! I normally always go to Patilla but I will never go again.

Really liked this hotel, although it's on the older side, they definitely upgraded the rooms. The pool was small but clean with a good patio that is connected to the bar/resturant.

The staff was amazing. The food was good. The rooms were nice. I think some of their beds may have bed bugs. My daughter and I got so many bites on our bodies. We were in separate rooms. Found out, we weren't getting bit by mosquitoes at all. That is my only complaint. My body has all these marks from the bites. Pretty gross 🤢. I kept thinking how the heck are these mosquitoes bitting my butt. Go prepared. The shower is amazing.

Visited Plaza Patilla Inn several times during my visit to Panama City in October and November. This is a historic hotel with cylindrical architecture build in 1975. It was remodeled PrePandemic. The rooms vary and some have an ocean view which was clean, offering all amenities, well appointed with breakfast included. The A/C is 10/10. The hotel is situated in Patilla, away from the main road, Avenida Balboa, yet offering you wonderful views of the Ocean and City. The housekeepers do a great job cleaning the rooms. The breakfast was a delicious buffet(and optional), with outdoor sitting and an ocean view. It is a full service hotel with Restaurant, Bar, Room Service, Gym, Spa, Hair Salon and Pool. You can walk to many venues from this Hotel. Thank you Plaza Patilla Inn for making my stay a great one. This hotel is a great location in the City where many locals are repeat customers. Will be back!

Wonderful atmosphere. Excellent service. Friendly staff. A ton of deals on food and drink, best one is their friday and saturday dinner buffet with more choices of food than you could ever eat in one sitting.

The hotel and view is amazing. However, although we booked a room with view, they requested extra payment to give a room with view as per their new policy. This is not acceptle. After speaking insistly, they treated like they can do a favor and they can give a room once for something we already paid. After a long travel, dealing such an issue like that was not nice at all.

We loved the location, clean room, friendly staff, great pool and fantastic buffet breakfast. Property needs more regular cleaning around the outside parameter, and gardens around pool. The gym are well stocked but need better ventilation and use of towels should be compulsory with wet wipes to wipe equipment before and after use.

Nice small hotel; we felt really at home. The hotel serves breakfast and has plenty of fruits and vegetables for vegetarians. Hotel staff understands English well so we had little trouble communicating.

Fantastic modern hotel with awesome views. Stayed here for two nights and probably one of the better hotels that we have stayed at. The view was the best part. Rainfall showerhead was very relaxing. Rooms were cleans and spacious.

Very good value for your dollar, food was okay (a little bit bland) but fairly inexpensive! Service was great. The hotel manager was super pleasant. The hotel rooms were very clean and comfortable!

Fantastic view of the coast and pool from our room. Loved the automatic window curtains. Lobby in staff was very attentive and helpful. Pool was a nice retreat.

Great location. Room very nice and clean. Nice breakfast. Zero pool bar service. Lazy bar staff. Overpriced small Styrofoam cup. Need more pool loungers. Entire pool sitj needs work. No blanket in room. No wash cloths (i think this is a latin thing).

This hotel is very nice considering how much I paid. Some of it's view of the Pacific Ocean is blocked. I experienced a great sunset view every night. My only complaint is their complimentary breakfast isn't international enough. Nor did we have a choice of non processed/artificial additives meats such as bacon or chicken.

The hotel is good value for money. The rooms are neat, the beds really comfortable and the showers great!!!. The breakfast had enough variety for us. The people at Reception are friendly and efficient. Only downside is that the hotel was at times noisy. We stayed on the 7th floor and could hear traffic quite clearly. There was also some drilling on the floor above us during the day and noise in the evening coming from the floor above us. Can't say what it was. Sounded like people moving furniture... Our "view" was an really old building in need of renovation but it did not bother is. They do have teabags in the room but no kettle, just a coffee maker, so not sure how you go about making tea. They gave a bottle of complimentary water on our first day but not after that so make sure to bring enough. Really accessible if making use of Uber.

Excellent service, clean and spacious rooms, tasty breakfast, and great location. Just steps from the walking path and great restaurants. Breakfast included lots of choices. Little known fact - hotel is across from where Manuel Noriega hid out in 1989.

It may not look as fancy as some of its big name neighbours but this is a very nice hotel. I had a large, comfortable room with stunning floor to ceiling curved windows, giving an incredible view of the city, especially at sunset.

Loved the view and breakfast buffet. It was a great value staying here. The bar also has specials. The pool is one of the largest hotel pools that I saw in Panama. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I will stay here again sould I ever return to Panama.

I stay for one night. The best of this hotel was the spectacular view in the room! Have spacious rooms with air conditioning and soft confortable bed. The staff is very friendly on the front desk but no in the breakfast. The hotel have noises because is close to the busy streets. I went to the pool but to get the towels you need to call the front desk and waited for 10 minutes, also need some renovations and cleaning better. Have some broken tiles and stains. The food is mediocre, I order fish and some fries but the fish didn’t taste good and the fries was like frozen type. Very disappointed 🧐 This hotel need more details cleaning or supervision, I found mold in the bathroom. The hotel have a park close by with a nice view but not good restaurants close by that you can walk around. For one night is ok but definitely I will no returning to this place.

Amazing hotel - I was going to wait until I left but this hotel deserves to be reviewed now - I had mixed feelings about staying at this hotel because of the mixed reviews that i read on trip advisor - A lot of people said the staffs attitude was rude, dismissive & poor - THAT IS NOT my experience - The stay so far has been good, the staff are friendly polite & so helpful - language has not been a problem or barrier. When I arrived I was suppose to stay for 2 nights & then go to another hotel BUT because of the excellent service received I extended my reservation. Check in was a breeze - very quick & no problems. I have to shout out Angie who checked us in, she is the best, very friendly and helpful. Room - 1815 is THE BEST ROOM - so spacious, clean & comfortable. Rooms are cleaned every day and fresh towels are provided daily. The house keeping staff are so friendly & polite especially inocencia she has been fabulous. Staff - Very friendly & polite & always happy to answer questions & help. Pooja needs an award, she went above and beyond to assist with any problems or questions I had, she was fantastic. Breakfast - lovely they have something for everyone, even if your fussy. Pool - they have a swimming pool on site which opens 7am to 7pm. Location - excellent as it’s central to everything & safe to walk around at night. This hotel is so thoughtful they gave me a cake and card in my birthday, which was really nice. I will be leaving a FULL review on trip advisor at the end of my stay, for more information please read my full review on trip advisor.

Well-organised hotel with professional but rather cold and business-like staff. Big rooms, some with nice views. All clean and in good shape. Breakfast has many options though quality is medium. Coffee is just drinkable. The Huevos-Lady is great, though. There is nothing wrong with this hotel, if you do not care for a warmer welcome. I would look for something nicer next time.

This is my new qualification, before was 4 stars. The place is old but has a good view in all the rooms and the outside patio is very nice. I used to eat here. But today I asked for the same dish that I like the most: shrimp with rice and vegetables and the shrimps were bad. After I had communicated that personal was not nice and reacted that they even care. I am very disappointed with the service. You should have the best service so you can keep your clients happy.

I am currently staying in this beautiful hotel. The location is perfect, the views spectacular and the staff has been all around incredibly kind and accomodating. I am traveling with my elderly parents and the entire staff has been so welcoming. Our large family here in Panama has been able join us for great breakfasts and lunches. Large groups can be difficult to manage and the staff here continues to greet us so graciously. Other memebers of our family were not so lucky and found themselves at another nearby hotel with horrible food, broken facilities and very rude staff. They have been very lucky to join us daily here at Plaza Paitilla Inn to escape their nightmare. I am so grateful to the staff here and thankful we made the best choice for our group. Our Panama family have been quite impressed as well. Thank You, Gracias and Merci for your wonderful hospitality. We will be back again and again!

Only problem with this place is that there's no ice machines like some other hotels I've visited in the past, we need ice cold water in the room especially in Panama, gotta stay hydrated, don't get me wrong, it's not a complain, it's an observation.

Clean room and friendly staff. Rooms do not have hair dryer, iron or refrigerator. The breakfast is all you can eat and good, but not great. The rate is low and overall, the value is high. I would recommend staying here if for a lower cost alternative and base from which to explore the city.

The wifi did not work the whole time of our stay, and we were only given 2 towels for our group of 3. We didn’t realize this until the night and when I called the front desk to ask for a towel he said we should have asked for the towel earlier and made it seem like it was my fault we were missing a towel. Would not stay here again.

Clean room, safe and secure check in, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city to a degree but a stones throw from the action. No fridge in the room so my Balboas got warm fast. Hot water A/C nice views, clean and beautiful hotel, well kept

There are no coffee machines or fridges as advertised on booking.com AND the hotel's website. The parking is dirty. The public bathrooms disgusting. The food in the restaurant is not good. The service at reception is really bad with the staff unfriendly and unhelpful and wearing casual T shirts or messy, dirty and unbuttoned shirts. No pride in their appearance and this is the first impression one gets of the hotel. The hotel rooms are a nice size, but not soundproofed, and smelly. The bathrooms are lovely and there is more than enough cupboard space. The iarcondirionee was noisy and smelly too.

The room view is really nice, bit there is a noise from main street. The hotel is not the newest one. Sadly they don't have transfer for airport and taxi cost you US$ 30 and takes around 30 minutes

The rooms are absolutely beautiful with gorgeous views. It was very clean and comfortable. Staff was welcoming and friendly overall. However, very, very slow when something was requested. Fair prices, but laundry was so expensive and received 2 pairs of socks with holes afterward.

I experienced nothing but the best and spent an extra night as a result. The reception staff were very kind in allowing me check in with my marginal Spanish acting as if they understood me. The room was clean, much nicer than I expected for the $82 a night. I had a view from the 16th floor look west, with the marina and city skyline in view through a wonderfully ample window. Plenty of water pressure and there were ironing board/iron and a hair dryer. I watched some TV and there was a wide variety of local channels as well as channels from the USA, Germany, and Espana. The complementary breakfast was wonderful and the view from the outside deck made the meal even more pleasant. The location was nice and a $4 Uber ride from from the Metro, to Casca Vieja and around $8 to Albrook. Without hesitation, I will come back when we are in town.

Staff is not friendly at all. When I got there they told me I have to get another room, got it. Next thing I asked for bottle of water, they said someone would bring it , no one did, then I have to asked again night time, housekeeping gone for the day. Next day I asked again in the morning, no one able to bring a bottle of water. By the time I am leaving they asked how is your stay , I complained they turn around and gone...

If you wanna eat something, you have to go to the restaurant. Surprisingly, they don't bring it to your room. And when you go downstairs, guess what?!? Don't forget your wallet: it seems a hotel but it's not. In other hand, The room and location are amazing!

  • 2/5 Bartlomiej Z. 1 year ago on Google
Was in this hotel and one of my worst experience ever, got room at 8th floor where all arround was under construction and drilling walls sounds were starting from early morning. Somebody stole my 2 hats from the room I had with me, breakfast is terrible (if you eat fastfoods and bad quality food - then its for you), in restaurant nobody speaks english and there is no room service so you cant take anything to the room. If you plan to stay at this hotel, better choose different one.

Great location, very clean, beautiful service. Ashley welcomed us with a big smile at the check in. Breakfast was real good. Lots of options, and you can choose if to sit inside or outside. No room service. The atmosphere is a retro chic. And the ocean view room was everything. The room is very comfortable and clean. There is a restaurant which is available a long the day until 22:00. Thanks 🙏🏽

Our room was very nice with a newly renovated decor. Huge flat-screen TV. Power window coverings were cool. Fabulous views of the city. Big comfy pillows and bedding. The pool area is very nice and maintained properly.

The room on the 18th floor with the ocean view was great. My only thing I did not like they charge for extra towels which I thought was crazy that wanted 2.00 extra for a towel. They have a taxi service that was in the hotel that was great. Better than Uber . The taxi guy there is also, as tour guide as well. The best mall in Panama is the multiplex mall which is 5 to 8 min away. It's about 5.00 for the taxi easy ride.

Surprising… beautiful view of the bay and also the city. The room is newly renovated with autamatic drapery, new wood laminating floor, new bathroom, shower and toilet. Constructive feedback; breakfast need to have more variety
