Rooms are very good with a beautiful ocean view. Hotel should consider cleaning the windows. A la carte meals are terrific but the buffets are of a similar quality to mining camps. Most of the bar and restaurant staff don't seem like really want to serve customers, e.g. avoiding eye contact so you actually have to call out to them. Nobody actively serves at the pool area. Calling room service can be a mission in itself since the phones are seldom picked up. Lifts are full during check-in and check-out periods so expect to wait 5+mins. Unfortunately this one is not to the standard we see at other intercontinental hotels.

Prices are really good for this hotel, which has a great location in Balboa Ave. Rooms are quite big and breakfast was good and quick. However, the hotel is a bit dated, my windows were full of green mold and elevators took forever since there are only 2 for the entire hotel. Service was very friendly.

This was an average hotel. We were here for a conference, so opted to stay in the hotel. We were here for 8 days. The room was pretty worn out, but was clean and the bed was comfortable. Service was average. One annoying thing was that they only left coffee part of the time. The water view was very nice. The location is near many good restaurants.

This Hotel is in a good location on Balboa Avenue and Hotel Room was comfortable and air conditioner working perfectly which is very important to me. The building seems rather old but well maintained. Breakfast buffet was good but not awesome.

This is not the nicest property of this chain, but the service is so good, it is worth a stay. The rooms are clean and decent, but not Intercontinental quality. There is only one restaurant, and the food and wine by the glass is mediocre at best. The gym is nice, but water in the fountain is heavily chlorinated. You can buy bottles of water though. They don't have a store or gift shop, which is inconvenient if you need something and it's raining. A light and crosswalk are right at the hotel, so it’s fairly easy to walk to stores and restaurants.

We were not planning to stay in Panama City, however due to ill health we left a ship at the entrance to the Panama Canal, and we ended up staying at the Intercontinental in Panama City from 22 Aug till 5 Sept. We were in room 911 a 2-bedroom suite for the majority of our 14-night stay. I do not speak Spanish and found life very difficult during my time in Panama City, however all the following staff at the hotel our stay there and our comfort so much so it felt like home in some ways, thank you to the following: Doolvis – front desk who was my first point of contact at the hotel. Anna- front desk always had a smile. Alondra- front desk, always very patient with me and helpful. Guido- who did the night shift on the front desk and helped with many things. Kaya- Concierge helped me find some restaurants that had English menus and would deliver. Fernando- Door And always a welcoming smile and so polite. Angel- In the Club Lounge who made me a Coffee each morning and was very helpful. Anna- who was only the maid one day, however, did the best job in our 14-night stay-excellent. Carlos (little Carlos in the Restaurant) who helped me every day get breakfast to the room for my sick partner, a big thank you to him as it made my life so much easier with his help. Obviously the Manager who must be good as all the staff were happy and it really showed in the results, thank you. Best Regards, Lance M Australia

I've been waiting here for a few hours for my friends, who unfortunately will be flying in late. The concierge service then offered me the opportunity to freshen up and use the spa free of charge. I'm speechless! This house gets one more star from me, so six *** *** ! Highly Recommended...

It started out rough, but thanks to Keyla the Concierge, our stay and the conference went amazing! She recommended places for us to eat things to do, book, reservations, which made our trip even better!

I am pleased to share my experience during my stay. I loved the hotel for clean rooms, the restaurant for delicious food and the attention of Mr. Ariel was excellent, i will recommend you. Thank you all for your hospitality.

I recently stayed at the hotel that had great service and an excellent staff. The staff was always friendly and helpful, and they went above and beyond to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. However, despite the positive aspects of my stay, I will not be returning to this hotel. The major issue I had was with the thin walls. It was easy to hear my next door neighbor, and at times it was quite disruptive. This made it difficult for me to get a good night's sleep and left me feeling frustrated. Overall, while the service and staff at this hotel were top-notch, the thin walls were a major inconvenience that I could not overlook. As a result, I will not be staying at this hotel again in the future.

Had a really nice stay here, we were on the city view side, I recommend the seaside however. The service was amazing and the breakfast and lunch buffets were really delicious. The pool area is nice too.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and loved it! The room was clean and AC was nice and cold (we came during a heatwave). I had a nice waterview on a high floor which was lovely. The hotel is in a perfect location on Balboa Street, which has a nice walk path across the street from the hotel. I walked from the hotel to old town daily for exercise. The one con is I wish my room had a fridge.

The hotel was great. The room was clean and staff was friendly. We got the high ocean view and access to the lounge for breakfast and happy hour. Breakfast was good and convenient before we started the day. The location was pretty good. We used Uber to get everywhere. Price was comparable to the Hilton. Happy hour was also great as they had some food and drinks. Plus, the lounge is accessible during the day for water and sodas. The staff there was friendly and helpful.

It's a good hotel with polite and helpful staff willing to lend a hand when required. Meals are nice and the portions are more than enough. Their swimming pool is awesome and perfect for a sunny day. Overall had a good stay and would recommend.

Travelled to Panama earlier this month and InterContinental Miramar Panama was home for a few days. It pays off to be loyal to just one hotel frequent guests program to become a Diamond Elite Ambassador member as I’ve gotten another complimentary upgrade to a two-bedroom suite from booking just a regular club room. The hotel is showing its age but the the suite had this classical Caribbean vibe and it was very well-maintained. The water and city views were incredible during the day and even more dramatic during the night. Edwin from the Ambassador check-in was very welcoming and very efficient while very informative about the property’s features and amenities. In a very short span of time, he was also able to present a very comprehensive narrative on what to do around the area as well. I was in and out of the check-in desk in less than 5 minutes. He was the epitome of the Panamanian hospitality I vividly remember during my first ever visit to this country. The Club InterContinental offerings during breakfast and happy hour were good and they have ok selections of wine. Nothing like the other Club Lounges of other InterContinental properties I had visited before before but it had one of the most stunning views and the attendants were amazing. The pool is shared with the residential condo next door but it was never busy. It was expansive and plenty of Cabanas and loungers for the guests to enjoy. Aside from the Club Lounge, it was my favourite hang out in this beautiful and centrally located hotel. Will return again when I’m back in the city.

The family at AtlasAdventured recommends staying here! We took advantage of the Copa Airline stopover program, and this hotel was perfect for that. It has everything you need to make it feel like an all inclusive hotel. There's a great pool that has waterfall features, which our toddler loved sitting under, and a delicious buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can also sit in the restaurant/buffet area and order off of a menu. The location is the best part. It’s right on the water so you get these stunning views. Our room was up high! So we were able to see the whole city. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Loads of cabs on the streets so it’s easy to get somewhere. The hotel called us a cab, very early in the morning, to get back to the airport. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are big, clean, comfortable beds, and nice bathrooms. We had a wonderful stay, and cannot wait to come back!

One of best located hotels I have ever been in the capital. Easy to park, very accessible, foods at restaurant are alright. Good for daily but definitely can be better. The view is very nice. Staffs are decent.

A tall twin tower with front garden, this is a sea side hotel with a big size reception on a prime location in Panama City. on front desk a lot of staff will guide and help out you in any query, since people speak Spanish but they can also know English,The hotel management is very good and I also saw hard working staff of house keeping service. The location of hotel is so good and you can access airport, city Mall ,Market, hospital easily without any hassles, the night and day scene of the city is very beautiful when u keep your room curtain high.

Good location, nice big pool. However, hotel could use some updating. Air conditioner was turning off and on loudly all night. Carpet needed updating.

Very clean, modern and beautiful hotel. The room was tidy and cosy with extremely beautiful panoramic view from enormous windows. A swimming pool with recreation zone was available during the stay. Generally, my stay in this hotel was wonderful

IHG Platinum Elite customer (auto bonus points were received but otherwise no mention of status). Booked an award stay (classic King room) in points for 2-nights in late March for the equivalent of about $150USD per night (above average price in Panama). Printed out my confirmation before leaving home, which now said King Ocean View with Lounge. Yipeee!! We took an official taxi from the airport for $25USD (quick trip - 15 mins). The location has great views of the water (over the highway), note it is a bay and more calm and tidal, no real beaches. Right next to a glorious long walking promenade that goes all the way to Casco Viejo (you have to take a couple of pedestrian bridges over the highway) but very safe and a great walk - probably a brisk 45 minutes to Casco Viejo. Easy to walk to restaurants, easy to use Uber everywhere. On arrival they tell us they don't have ocean view any more so sorry, and they are not sure why my reservation mentioned lounge but that is wrong too. Gee, gonna give me a hammock for the front palm tree next? :) Instead, they said they gave me an "upgraded executive floor room" and after showing them my printed materials and having a friendly discussion, they did give me the lounge access (which doesn't do breakfast, only evenings). Fair compromise I think. Room was nice and clean, I can't say I felt it was cutting edge 2022 remodel and not sure what was particularly "executive floor" about it but what do I know. The shower was always hot with a glass half-wall and weird control that basically only did cold and SCORCH LAVA temperatures. WIFI was intermittent but generally good. Bed was comfortable and hotel was quiet. No hairdryer in the room. Could not see ANYTHING out of the windows because covered with algae growth. They have an in-room Keurig but don't provide Keurig pods and instead packaged granules to mix with the Keurig hot water. The evening executive lounge had nice mix of wine/ beer and nice small appetizers and desserts. Overall I thought it is a great location, staff were fairly helpful, but also not amazing for the price and some small issues. For the right price, I wouldn't hesitate to return there but probably not at this price point. Honestly better than a 3 rating but not quite up to 4 either. Definitely hit the local Metropolitan Park for some nice light hiking and local plants/ animals ($5 foreigner entry and $5 Uber ride one-way).

Breakfast very simple for this type of hotel. Gentle everyone but generally not warm and friendly the Hotel as a place. Also tragic that in 5 star Hotel they have charged extra for the spa of which they write it in the reservation but it is tragic to pay 400 € per day and want extra for each person 10 € for the spa. Generally mediocre in size and stars.

I was pleased with room but disappointed in that I had been lead to believe a English speaking concierge would be here to help. The staff did not speak any English and even with my translation app. No one understood me. I arrived at 7:30pm and was told my reservations were for another hotel when I clearly had a printed confirmation for here. No one spoke English so I had to wait another hour in lobby for a manager to get back with reservations desk and give me a room. Next day I did meet a lady concierge who spoke English but no one on staff in restaurant in hair salon , room service spoke are understood anything I said. It was frustrating. I had been told that the staff understood some English. So I was definitely at a disadvantage when trying to get help with anything!!! View is beautiful but you are right in middle of expressway and not within walking distance of any shopping or attractions.

We had a fabulous view from our room. The service was top notch. We got a free upgrade and breakfast was also included which was wonderful! This is a really great location in the heart of the city.

Good location for this hotel. Pool area is great. Breakfast too. But rather disappointing for InterContinental: rooms are old and not luxury. Housekeeping can be not consistent. Restaurant could be better, and we would appreciate a deeper and more personalized service, even if Gwendie and Francisco at the Front Desk are very effective and kind.

This is a very nice hotel with excellent food and nice staff. The rooms were large and nice. Staff were very welcoming upon arrival. Only 2 elevators so be prepared. We would be willing to stay there again but would ensure eating early if there was entertainment later. We started at the Westin earlier in the trip and it was very good. Regrettably, we had a very disappointing experience in the dining room. The food was good and we were enjoying the conversation when all of a sudden, extremely loud music came on with spanish dancers. It was so loud that it hurt my ears and we could not wait to get out of there. Lots of tables around us did the same and left quickly as soon as they finished their dessert. Such a shame as the dancers were very good. Regrettably the management was unwilling to enforce a turn down of the music to an acceptable level. They turned it down a little but not enough.
