1 - The sink was leaking. 2 - There was no hot water in the shower (for an indeterminate time due to damaged pipes). 3 - Strong food smell inside the rooms. 4 - Long waiting time to solve problems. 5 - No outlets next to the bed (I had to use the television plug to charge my cellphone and computer, alternately). 6 - Minibar was dirty on the inside. 7 - No mirror in the bathroom. 8 - Taxi and uber drivers said it wasn't safe to walk in the neighborhood.

Cheap comfortable hotel in good location. On the other hand, the rooms and hotel is old and things are breaking and needs renovation. Also did not have warm water and had 24 hours water shortage and the staff did not try even to help with bringing us some water in bottles or anything. Feeling like old post soviet hotels in eastern Europe. I liked the stay but not having water for shower and toilet is too much.

Great stay! Anyone who rates this $23 a night hotel under 5 stars needs to align their expectations. Big clean simple rooms, welcoming hosts, nice terrace, and good location. Delicious cheap food walking distance. Dinner for two of chicken, rice, and beans and 2 beers, $5. Perfect for the price!

I had a lovely 8 day stay here with my partner. The other reviews are too harsh. Not all of the rooms are painted or renovated, but they're clean and comfortable. If you want the best rooms, ask to stay on the 6th floor. I was satisfied with the 3rd floor but its not as nice. You can't get a better hotel for the price. The hotel is right on the shopping street in the safest part of santa ana (which I felt very comfortable walking around by myself as a gringa) and is a block to the discos and metro. The staff is very kind and helpful. I'm sad to go home!

Very nice for the price! It is in a busy part of the city. If you are comfortable with Latín America travel then it's recommended. It's not necessarily for the rookies. Everything you need is near and the wifi works great. You can work on the laptop all day and get your beers are the local corner tienda and then sit on the roof patio for free. Perfecto

We had a red eye before our tour started. We only used the room from 6am-12 but our experience was pleasantly surprising for the price. The room was huge & clean. It had everything we needed & honestly for being hostel priced it was much nicer. The staff was also very nice.

Decent price ($27 for two people). Does the job, a place to sleep. Lots of stuff in the room missing, incomplete, not working.

Well located hotel. The rooms are a bit dated but I had good air conditioning and the staff were very helpful.

Good place and especially great service! If you look for a place in Panama where you can rely on the people working there, this is the place for you. Big rooms big beds, great view, only minus point is the bathroom.

Staff is very kind and tried to be very accommodating. The hotel is just a very old one and needs lots of repairs. Get what you pay for. The location is perfect to the local shopping areas. Great prices, great food, great people

Nice view from the window and good location (to the center and meteo). But: air conditioning was not effective, breakfast even if included in the room price was not available in the first morning (we stayed for two nights) and cash was not given back although promised.

What you see is what you get here, which was totally fine by me! For 33$/night for two of us, we didn't expect anything fancy. The bed was comfy and the staff friendly and helpful with anything we asked for 😊

The AC is cold. I got this bundled with Expedia. Breakfast mostly eggs everyday. Need to bring a power strip because not many available outlets except for TV and Fridge. Cold to warm water in shower not hot. A good budget hotel.

Wonderful place with beautiful views. Staff are very warm and friendly. They speak English and Spanish. In the surround area you have many shops, stores and restaurants.

No frills, but clean. On a busy street where honking and yelling can be heard all night. Has window air conditioning units, front desk person at all hours who buzzes you through the doors. Near Casco Viejo, walking distance. Hotel Republic a, formerly known as Hotel Stanford (so when you're confused because Google Maps tells you you're there, but there's no sign...)

Pros - Excellent location and price. Good elevator. Cons - Very few outlets worked in the room. Mattress very basic. Good place to stay for the price.
