The place is close to the city. The metrostation is just 5-10 min away. It is a perfect place for someone that want to be close to the city centre. Beds are large and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was just ok, could be better. Staff was nice and helpful. There is a supermarket near the place. The view was good from our room, have a look att these pictures.

This is no a good place to stay. Dated. For what they charge you can stay at Holiday inn Express for 5-10 dollars more. I am always willing to try new places and I often come back but this will be the exception. Rude staff except for an old lady in the front desk. Good breakfast until you realize that the kitchen is infested in cockroaches filthy room I did not wanted to check the mattress but I have a guess.... that is my review but you are welcome to try on your own.

An average budget hotel with some excellent helpful staff. The breakfast buffet is very average but serves it’s purpose. The rooms are showing signs of aging but during my stay I noticed some rooms getting a makeover. The beds are comfortable, hot water just luke warm. The hotel is very close to the Metro station Iglesia del Carmen which has a lot of food options next to it. There is a supermarket right opposite the hotel for daily supplies. I stayed in room 820 that had a spectacular view of the city. The area around the hotel seemed very safe. A couple of car rental companies like Budget etc right next door.

The wifi does work in the rooms and the staff is incredibly unhelpful

It was disappointing 😕 never again. It was smelly and the front desk people were rude. Well some of them need more training. Everything was old.

Good price for what you get. However, wish they would start their breakfast service earlier. 7am is the posted time, but that makes it hard to get a really early start in the morning, if you want breakfast. In reality it was closer to 7:15 before they started serving on the two weekdays I was there.

Breakfast was the only good thing, many choices. The ladies handeling the breakfast were very nice. Rooms were big but outdated. Toilet didn't flush very well. Bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly (there were used soaps from previous occupants). Lady behind reception desk was not friendly. After a long travel when you arrive at the hotel you don't want to get the feeling that everything you say or ask is too much and that they want to get rid of you. Don't go work in the hotel business when you don't enjoy helping people!! WiFi did not work in the 5th floor, we had to leave the door to the corridor open to get some connection. Sheets smelled damp. Did not enjoy my stay. It was cheap and breakfast is good but that's about it.

I stayed three nights. The staff is very friendly, the location is close to the old town of Casco Viejo, which you can walk to within an hour along the seaside promenade. Breakfast includes coffee and juice, eggs, empanadas, desserts and cereal. Despite the mangoes lying on the ground in front of the hotel, only pineapple is available as a fruit at breakfast. The rooms are run down, room 301 does not have a number sign in the hallway. Little cockroaches greeted me. Two to three appeared every day. The pool is just big enough for a dip, but could use some cleaning. The whole hotel is quite run down, in need of renovation, but the friendly staff saves it.

Nice and clean and located steps to via España and iglesia del carmen. In the price they offer free shuttle and a small breakfast. The free shuttle is actually quite convenient as the bus from the airport don't run at night and the taxis charge $30.

There is no microwave or fridge as advertised. The breakfast was really decent, only a few choices of rice, chicken, omelette and sausage, but it's free so I can't complain. The staff was nice

First night was ok,OK, was good staff friendly,but the bathroom was abysmal, no hot water,and the toilet didn't work right, and Wi-Fi didn't work,second day I moved to a new room, much better condition, so far so good, but even with small issues the hotel is a good value

Great people work here. It's a little run down but I would stay again.

La Cresta is a 4 star hotel by Panama standard. It was a nice place to stay in but I could say that it is not worth calling a 4 star hotel.
