This is my first experience with a Hostel, so I can't compare it to anything else, but I was extremely satisfied with both times I stayed here during my trip. The staff were wonderful! AC'd room was delightful :) The kitchen has a large fridge for use, the kitchen was well equipped, and the seating area in front was lovely. I didn't try the climbing wall, was it looked extensive from where I was sitting. Would highly recommend you stay here!

Really chill place. There's always something fun going on. I usually go for the boulder/climbing wall and the community. It's in the heart of the city so the prices can be competitive. I would recommend to any adventure seeker out there! They also offer great tours and pizza fridays!

Friendly staff, awesome kitchen, rooms are well air conditioned, boulder wall is really neat plus. Only reason for 4 stars was there was no running water for the time I was there which was not their fault (something to do with the city water system) but also rhe stove didn't work and there was a dripping water leak in the dorm I was staying in. Seemed like an unfortunate string of circumstances for the people running the place. Great otherwise!

Never had such a bad experience in an hostel before. Someone in the room told the reception that some of her money got lost or stolen. I came later to extend one more night and I’ve been told that everyone in the room has to check out. (Apparently everyone was supposed to leave anyway but me) They even didn’t let me to book a private room. I felt in their altitude that they actually blaming me for that.

The staff is very friendly, and wonderfully helpful, but you get what you pay for in terms of accommodations. You will always find a ton of Peace Corps volunteers here - This is one of the hostels that Peace Corps recommends its volunteers to stay at. For good reason though: The low prices are affordable for volunteers. There is a kitchen to cook in, though be sure to wash anything you use before you use it. The rooms have AC, but the owners can't decide when they'll let you use it - sometimes its always, sometimes its only between 9pm and 9am. There are only three common bathrooms for at least two dozen people staying in the dorms so you might have to wait to use the facilities more often than not. There is no hot water in the showers - even when you ask the front desk to turn it on.

I tried to solve my problems with Elena, but neither her or Chris cared. Rude staff. They did not care when my flight was suddenly canceled and how that effected me. Only interested in money not about guests. They made me pay twice for the same day and didn’t let me climb without charging even more. A daypass and an overnight room pass for the same day and refused to refund my day pass 8$ +16$. Then 8$ to be at the hostel after we checked out. The women at the front desk is extremely rude and inconsiderate. Stay at another hostel, the breakfast is also bad. I understand and want to support the climbing community but 32$ to stay in a tiny dorm one night and be able to use a kitchen is ridiculous and yet still not allowed to climb.

Only reason I gave 4 stars was the price at currently nearly US$17 a night is Xy for me for a small 6 bed dorm. Panama does seem to charge 1st world country prices for a 2nd world country. Be aware the city has grown way too fast for its own infrastructure - water turned off every late afternoon/evening so don't think you'll take a shower @ 6pm, internet dead & gone 2 or 3 times a day, roads jammed with traffic 24/7, electricity out, mainly pm when air cons greed outstrips supply. Some people have their own wells and genis specially for dry season when the watertable is very low and electrical use way up due to heat. I was there in dry season.Posada has a huge kitchen, 2 huge fridges, an amazing supermarket just round the corner, is 5 mins walk from the underground, Line 1, which takes you to Albrook the bus - city, country and intercountry - depot so Posada fantastic spot to stay for all connections. Excellent chill out breakfast bar/all day cafe area out the front which is gathering spot in pm. Climbing wall well utelised when I was there. The cleaning staff do excellent job so bathrooms, dorms and bedding all super clean. Staff are so warm and friendly and full of info. Quiet bench for online work near reservation in cool area plus fans available if needed. You will definitely enjoy the social side of this hostel.
