So this place is a bit isolated, and the food was a bit slow to arrive at the table but it's a beautiful spot and very clean, very very comfy beds, a yacuzzi, billiards, table soccer, and great service ( thanks again David and Maria!) Breakfast was excellent. The hotel Lies inside a gated community in cerro Azul. Nearby there are a children's farm, where you can see some animals, a lake where you can canoe. People also go to the lodge to spot birds. To get to the nearby national park chargues you need a car or call a cab. And this is the main problem with the lodge. You need a car to really reap the benefits of the location. The local bus service is not very reliable. Also to get there from Panama city by cab costs about 40 to 50 dollars.

David and the staff were so kind and helpful during our stay. they let us get in earlier than the check in time and showed us where to have a good walk nearby (which we enjoyed so much, lucky enough to see many monkeys on our way!). the peace there is unique and the rooms very comfortable. plus the jacuzzi and the pool table! food is great - only advise is about the bar services as to possibly offer some more variety and special like the place is. I requested the room to be romantically decorated due a special occasion and indeed they did it. :) The stay was what I expected, the place was quite and we could enjoy read, watch birds or just walk. Nice gateway for the weekend.

Spent 3 days midweek at La Semilla in May 2021 - what a beautiful place! There is a little construction going on, but it is for improvements/expansion. We hiked a local trail, bird-watched, spent some time in Chagres Park and enjoyed nature! We even saw the monkeys in the trees in the morning. The wifi was solid and the facilities were very clean. Also, there is a local chef on staff and our meals were delicious. This is a great place to get away from the city and just relax!

Our experience in this small eco lodge was nice, a breath of fresh after a strong quarantine. A nice place, probably better for couples than families, but very nicely placed in a residential area immersed in the tropical forest with enough open air to go out walking, cycling, catching fireflies, walking the dogs, etc. Definitely a bird that watcher heaven, with at least 10-12 species literally eating breakfast with you. Close by a there’s a small lagoon where the hotel can set up day trips and have a lagoon-side lunch, ride jet-skies (vintage ones that is), kayak around and swim.

Many things to see and do for the whole family within minutes of the EcoLodge. Tranquil spot, mountain climate and under an hour from the city.

Amazing escape from Panama City. The staff is friendly and food deliciously healthy. Probably one of the higher end locales in all of Cerro Azul.

Spent a romantic time with my boyfriend here. The nature was beautiful, the room was really nice, and the hot tub and steam room - the best! We really enjoyed and will come again soon! Can't wait to see the butterflies. <3

La Semilla is a wonderful place to disconnect and recover, in less than an hour from the city, you can enjoy a very natural surroundings, great climate and spectacular views. Rooms are very comfortable and service was great.

We had a perfect stay, the place is remote from the city with a lot of nature surrounding it, which made it a perfect place for us! We also had dinner and lunch, the food was excellent! Would highly recommend this.

Nice place, great views, the food is good too. You can take there your beers for free or other alcohol, food for BBQ but need to pay a fee. The shower can not be controlled between cold or hot, it is always one or the other.

We took a walk and had loads of fun in the forest, hiking. Food was amazing. We had a great time and already planning our next trip.
