As a recent Widow, I needed, a safe, welcoming place that offered ocean view and sounds of the waves crashing on the Sandy beach. I also wanted the independence of walking to the Hotel from the pier. I selected Taboga palace and Spa. I was welcomed by the owner operaror, Dave. Dave is a warm, approachabe and very engaging gentleman. He talked with me about the activities I could do on the beach. He gave me a breakdown of the island. When my room was ready I was transported to another time and place. A real palace somewhere in England. The room was inmaculate. The linens had legantly embroided trim. The bathroom was modern and súper fancy. The Infinity pool was GLORIOUS! The luliby of the ocean waves hipnotized me towards a much needed nap, right then and there. María was exceptional too. María organized my every wish. Kayak, paddle boaring, snorkling, private boat ride around the island (highly recommend) And private vehicle ride to the historic military búnkers (highest point) in the island and breath taking view of the coast AND Panama city. Carmen and Hilda complete this team. They keep the palace impeccable. I am very happy with the Taboga Palance and Spa. I needed this kind of awesome for my trip alone. I miss doing it without my dear husband.but I know he would have approved. You Will love love it too. The photos of the Amazing views were taken by a guest at the hotel. My family and I LOVED this hotel! Dave the owner and his staff have an attention to detail that makes their hotel feel like home! The room was super comfy (I slept SO WELL) and the pool? I spent Many Hours in it both with my family and alone looking out into the bay. I didn't realize, until we were leaving, that their drinks (both alcoholic and coffee) were awesome, so don't miss a chance to have one in the hotel. We were on the top floor and I have to admit that it was a BUNCH of stairs, but it was so well worth it. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach rom here (really! I made a video!), and it's also close to some pretty good food, though almost everything on the island was great. We were here for 2 nights, but I wish it could have been it could have been longer. Don't book just one night here, you should make it at least 2 but 3 would be best to really get on island time.
