They have people working there who refuses to help communicate with those with less than fluent spanish. I had a doctor today that came on shift and never communicated with me all I needed to get better. Insteed she yelled at me and accused me of not listening. As well as yelling at me on the emergency room floor stating that "theres nothing wrong with me and I just want something to be wrong with me". I was caught off guard and asked her why is she being so abrasive and disrespectful to me. All I was asking about was my high blood pressure ,which I never had in my life. She was verbally abussive to me.She made my pressure elevate, according to her it was because I was not listening to the previous doctor on duty. This was not the case and I have witness to the miss treatment. I will not allow this to get swept under the rug. I left the ER with pain and my blood pressure reading was 145/102. That Dr. Vilma has a lot to learn as a professional. No matter how many patients or years as a doctor you have under your belt. A person coming to the emergency room is in need of help, not to be ridiculed by the very people who are suppose to help you. This was not the first time I have been mistreated and unsatified with my services at this hospital. I will be following up with letters to management because just because you remodel a hospital, it should not mean you sacrifice by employing those whom hold little to no standard of quality service. Sensitivity training for ALL physicians should be a requirement(especially for a emergency room). The support safe is not the issue its the DOCTORS and head staff that are the problem. The facilities are very nice and modern but the customer service is seriously lacking. The women working at the check-in for the emergency center were extremely rude and not helpful. The hospital needs to consider the type of people they hire for these positions as these people are the first you encounter upon any visit and can seriously dampen your view of the entire place. We chose this place because the doctors were said to speak English and we felt more comfortable speaking English to discuss medical issues as our Spanish is limited. Unfortunatly the doctors we encounted in the emergency wing did not speak English and we had to rely on Google translate to explain some of the medical test results.
