There are several restaurants here to get a nice drink or fresh seafood. I have never been during high tide so can't recommend for swimming or water activities. But I think would be great for kayak or paddle boarding during high tide. Also there are loads of shells and perfect sand dollars all over. The drive is only about 20-25min from the city and very nice paved roads. During the weekend can get crowded but weekdays are generally low crowds and much more relaxing.
