A hidden gem from most. Well worth he visit. Amazing location, water, vibe and energy. A slice of island heaven. If you stay at the resort, golf carts are must and do have an additional charge, but it is WELL WORTH it. Stop by Nacho Mama's and PalMar at the end of the resort for some of the best food on the island. This place is amazing.

Simply stunning! Words can't express how welcoming and amazing the people are here! I love this place. There's no way I'm not coming back here. So much to see and do and eat! All of it so amazing. Swim, surf, boat, beach, pool. Whatever you want in a resort is here and more! Beautiful and welcoming! Gorgeous. All the other words for ridiculously nice looking. 😀

Definitely one of my best vacations EVER in love with the personal starting from the lady from the reception and the guys from the transportation. The resort is very clean, the beach is beautiful. The village is private, you can feel the peace and fresh air . Highly recommended 🌺😍

We spent several days in one of the Red Frog villas. The place was very clean and had an outstanding ocean view but our private swimming pool still could be a bit cleaner - it was full of leaves when we arrived and all the next days. Overall, they provide very nice service, we could always contact someone and get a golf car ride in a few minutes. Their club restaurant also provides very nice service but food there didn't seem to us that tasty. Most time we went to the Palmar restaurant (that also wasn't perfect every time when we came there). We saw many sloths and the legendary red frog there. Tried the canopy tour that was really cool (highly recommend!). In general, we spent very nice time at this place and I would come here again.

This place is overpriced. The service is not good enough for what you pay. I asked for cleaning service and the cleaners forgot to come! What is that? Never happened before. Men were working at 7.00 am just next to my bedroom, making a lot of noise. Again, what is that? I am supposed to rest! Not to tell about the restaurant... awful! Please hire a real cook! The beach is nice, but if you want to swim , September is the best time, otherwise forget about swimming in the sea, as waves are high enough to be surfing. Definitely not coming back

We visited the Red Frog Beach Club very often, last in April 22, the daypass including one cocktail was 20$ and well worth it. We came back in early Dezember 22 and were told that the daypass is now 75$, totally outrageous and absolutely not worth it for a pool and a sunchair. The food at the club is good, but the portions are small and the prices too high. Palmar Beach lodge is the better choice.

Nice resort…location was close to Bocas Town just a 10 minute water taxi ride. Our 4 bedroom 4 bath private villa was very nice. One recommendation would be to rent a golf cart for your stay. This resort is a large property…walking was great during the day but it was nice to have a golf cart for the evening dinners. The restaurant at the main pool was good for breakfast and lunch. This is actually the only restaurant open on the property. That was a definite negative. We enjoyed dinners at the other two restaurants Selinas and Palmar which are just a short ride away. If you want action this is not the resort for you …this resort is quiet and there is not a lot going on. Didn’t seem to be many people staying at this resort when we were there. Beach was pretty but there was a lot of debris that needed to be cleaned up. The zip line was not running. If you have children they would be bored. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. There is a small market on the property which was a plus. We did stop at a larger market in Bocas Town to get snacks before coming to the property. While staying at Red Frog Resort we did day trips to Starfish beach, Bocas Town, and Monkey Island.

After staying several places on the island, I found this to be the best option. Very clean, great service, and although not "amazing", it certainly was the best food I've had out here on the islands. I enjoyed having a kitchen and the option to cook as well. I will definitely be coming back here.

just went to the restaurant and had a terrible experience, the bar tender was the rudest person i’ve ever seen. at first he didn’t want to serve us water because we didn’t have the right bracelets, then he got mad when we asked if we could pay with card??? one bad person can ruin the impression of an entire place and that was the case here

I went back in 2017, was an amazing experience. The views? gorgeous! The villas? Breath taking. The staff, so so friendly amf helpful. Traveling from island to island was not difficult... just a quick call and they were there to hitch a boat ride! They have carts you can rent to drive down to the main office for convenience since the villas can be far. The red frogs and sloths are absolutely adorable! The beach is GORGEOUS! I highly recommend 👌🏽

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in early 2023 and had a great time. The accommodations (a tee-pee) were exactly as advertised, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was gorgeous with lots of beautiful beaches and interesting wildlife. We knew were we weren't staying in a fancy 5-star resort, so weren't surprised at the occasional issues with water pressure, the somewhat limited resort restaurant menu and the fact that it would sometimes get busy (and to expect anything more on a small, inexpensive resort on an isolated island is absurd). And we are so excited to be returning for a second visit in a few weeks with more of our family! I will say however that the "red frogs" for which the resort is named were much smaller than we expected...

Very nice resort. Clean and well appointed. Good restaurants and a gorgeous reception area. Feels like a five star resort for sure.

This is a dream vacation! Every villa and condo has a beautiful view. The staff ( lora Justine and Nina) was very kind and welcoming. It is a great getaway from town. But not far just a 15 min boat ride. We have been 3 times and already can't wait to come back!

Staff was always friendly, some of course more then others. Restaurant has very limited options but meals were good. We had breakfast there daily and a dinner. Maya the tour guide was top notch but the other Tony wasn’t very communicative from our private tours arranged by resort. We enjoyed a golf cart while there and it helped us get to many places on the island. Beaches were great and beautiful to hang out on. We were told house keeping would come by every 2 days but never did. Not a huge deal but the resort was sooo slow that there shouldn’t have been any issue with service. The last day, we were charged extra for some items at breakfast that we hadn’t been before and wasn’t communicated before that it would be extra since our package included breakfast. Our breakfast didn’t go over the amount either if you divided up the total we paid for breakfast by the number of days were there. Front desk was always quick to respond about reserving tours but again communication wasn’t up front about pricing. We had the adventure package and I admit I was wrong thinking Starfish Beach tour was included too. I message them about booking it and they did. It wasn’t until we went to checkout that we were informed of what we owed for the tour. We would have much rather stayed at the resort then have done it if I was told it wasn’t included in what we prepaid. Palmar was the best restaurant on the island with many food choices. Selina was good too but limited food options. Overall, we would consider coming back but would ask much more questions up front about pricing instead of being blindsided after the fact several times about the cost of something after. Zip line and 2nd restaurant onsite were still closed.

We passed by here with our guide who had been invited by a member of the resort's staff. We ordered drinks and took a dip in the (very pretty) pool only to be informed, 10 minutes into our drink/swim, that outside guests need to pay 75USD for a 'day pass' to use the pool. Pretty awkward / rude. Cocktails took forever and made with processed coconut water rather than the real deal, so that was rather dissappointing.

Very good place. 100% recommended. Nature and wonderfull views. Food not very good at restaurant. Better to bring your groceries to cook.

Red Frog is one of my favorite places in Panama. The amenities are great and the beaches are perfect.

Our stay at Selina Red Frog was great because of the lovely people that work there. Melanie and Emily, whom work at the front desk, are super friendly and were helpful with whatever questions we had. They also had great recommendations on things to do around Isla Bastimentos. Aldair and Richard were great bar tenders. The drinks were delicious and their service was friendly and welcoming. Aldair’s exercise class was fun and motivating too! In the end, for us, what made our stay awesome was the great staff working here. The facility is unique and located close to the beach, with the help of a small hike. It gives an eco-lodge vibe, which was different than what we were used to. The food was also tasty. Our compliments to the chefs!

It was the most amazing way to start a new year. The place is perfect to spend family time with, and has a lot of plans for everyone. I recommend the zipline if you like adventure, the spa for relaxing, the restaurant La Rosa is delicious as it has 3 pools and a beautiful beach. If you like animals you will totally be able to see the red frog in the spa area, the monkeys could visit you around, and you will need to watch with attention the trees to find the sloth bears.

Do not go here if you have allergies. The waitress was completely rude and gave me an overpriced meal that contained dairy which I am very allergic to. Would never go back here. I want a refund for my $50 terrible meal.

Our family stopped there and bought day passes. Lounged by the pool and the beach, having drinks and a delicious lunch. They have very nice places to stay if you want to.

Dont come here if you are vegan or gluten free. We paid for breakfast included, only option was fruit. Couldn't even repeat. Coffee? Burnt. Bad service. Good views though. The shop? Some spoiled vegetables, then only alcohol and unhealthy snacks. The cabin, full of insects and animals, from bats in the bathroom (4 bats to be specific) to lizards and lots of insects upstairs. I've lived in Costa Rica for more than two years. It's not full of insects cause its the jungle. I think I have said enough.

Beautiful quiet place. I stayed at the marina for 2 days, the staff were helpful and friendly. The food was good at the restaurant. The Shop was well stocked and had everything you would need.

This resort is truly wonderful. I love the beach and the jungle. Yes, there have been a few times I wasn't impressed with the food, but they've addressed it. I've eaten there many times and had great meals (and drinks!)

Our villa was great! Had a great time at this location. *******BEWARE********* Covid testing should be done outside of the airport. If you do your Covid test at the airport they’re scamming Americans and having them stay there for 14 days! No soap, NO HOT WATER, NOT EVEN TOWELS! We’re being held hostage here. Meanwhile at the hotel the only encounters we had were sloths and monkeys.

The best place I went to in Bocas. Very good food. Great relaxing. Only the bathroom facilities were not good. And quite some plastic trash on the beach. But much less than on other beaches.
