Beautiful beach, with strong currents. Would not advice going with small children or people who are not capable of swimming, as the waves can get quite big. You will need a 4x4 to get there as well, as the road is in poor shape. Bring your own food and snacks (and take out your garbage as well please), as there are no providers in the area.

One of the most consistent beach breaks in Panama. Even when it's flat everywhere else it's still fun at Murrillo. Still pretty wild, only one Hostal at the beach (Villa Vento). Not suitable for swimming as there are many currents.

Great beach, but there’s not infrastructure like bathrooms. The access road it’s beyond bad and it can get flooded when the river (you have to cross) can’t flow into the ocean due to natural build up of a sandbar. We stayed at an Eco hotel… but we had problems with the road like everyone else.

Popular surfing with Hostel. Island to walk to during low tide with blow hole at other end of beach.

The beach is fantastic. However, if you don't have a 4x4 vehicle like we did, you have to walk about 30 minutes to the beach. You can park at a restaurant next to the main road. The path has very little shade and therefore it can get very hot. At the end of the path you have to walk to the left and you pass some fenced properties. At first it looks like you can't get to the beach. However, you just walk a bit further until you reach a property without a fence. Then you come to an almost empty and absolutely gorgeous sandy beach. However, there is hardly any shade. The way is worth it: one of the most beautiful beaches of Panama! Plan about 30 minutes each for the way there and back.
