I cannot recommend this place enough. If you have kids and/or keep kosher, do not bother looking at any other hotel. As soon as we got there, the person at the from desk said "the room you got isn't big enough for you and your two kids. I'm going to upgrade you to a bigger room." I didn't even ask. Anything you want/need, they are at your service. The staff is SO incredibly nice and so helpful. Cleaned our room every day and if we needed anything (ex- extra towels) they delivered them asap. They had a free breakfast (with some kosher options). Kosher grocery store is in the same building as hotel which was both beautiful and so convenient. Free parking downstairs. Walking distance to kosher restaurants. Oh, and the room came with a FULL kitchen. Even if you dont keep kosher, I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. We will definitely come back.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The service was excellent! From the front desk (Victoria and Bryan) to the restaurant (Elias and Edgar) to the diligent housekeeping in staff... Everyone provided exceptional over-the-top service. The pool is incredible; the view from the 15th floor is magical! Skyscrapers, ocean views, night sky, OMG. I'd come back just to we enjoy the rooftop!! I can't express how relaxing and enjoyable this hotel is. Simply amazing!!

Pretty central location, close to super 99 grocery store - everything you need in the building, but with covid restrictions you need to call ahead for the pool and gym - 4 guests max. No balconies in the rooms, view of the city is pretty cool

Totally superior hotel compared to another we used in Panama city. Yanireth, in particular was outstanding in her customer service. The others were ok but she truly wants to help the guest. A few kosher options at breakfast were available. The staff are familiar with Shabbat and will happily let you into your room. Nice clean rooms with fridge and stove top. Thanks for a great stay!

I am staying in Residence Inn at present and have booked a 3 nights stay. The suite is nice and clean, but have not seen housekeeping visit, its my 2nd day here. On asking reception for coffee refill, am told, 2 cubes are given complimentary for the 1st day, not thereafter - this is the most crazy comment I have heard in any hotel ever, what a shame for the name Marriott. They do not even provide even a single drinking water bottle. Breakfast included is just satisfactory, nothing fancy.

Nice hotel, clean and convenient located in downtown Panama city. Staff was v friendly. Good basic breakfast. But often out of basics, such as butter, milk etc.. The problem was guests were allowed to take food back to their rooms, which many did, even after having their breakfast. There were many large families that literally took over pool areas and breakfast areas. Pool, it appears was not maintained daily. I god a bad ear infection after 3 or 4 swims. Had to go to emergency clinic next door

Nice hotel, we stayed here Jan 29th-31 doing some sites tours and city exploring. Well designed unit with king bed, clean with very nice shower in bathroom...plus kitchen and separate sitting area....with excellent views and free breakfast.

Honestly this hotel is beautiful and great location but the bar tells you they have nothing to make drinks with. They barely have any food left at breakfast if you go after 9:30am. Rooms are very clean and hotel itself is clean but food isn’t great and bar sucks.

Great location and modern, clean hotel. When we checked in we asked about a potential suite upgrade, and they offered us a nicer room but explained they were sold out of suites. When one unexpectedly opened up the next day, they called to inform us and upgraded us to the suite for the remainder of the trip!! We were so impressed.

The pool was closed the entire Jewish sabbath because of a gender reveal party, and we were not notified before the day of the event. The hour before the event we got a slip under our door saying the pool and outdoor area was going to be closed for the whole day. If we were notified before the sabbath had actually begun we would have had time to make other arrangements for the weekend. Unfortunately we were forced to pay full price and sit in our room the entire day with nowhere to go, because we cannot use any electronics or vehicles of any kind. We asked for some money back for the day our vacation was completely ruined, and were given, almost sarcastically, 1,000 points which cannot pay for a hotel room at any property Marriott offers. This was a once in a lifetime trip for us, and we cannot take any more in the future with a baby at home, so the points are worthless to us. We will not be recommending the Renaissance Inn to any of our friends who are visiting Panama City in the next few months.

An excellent hotel in a great location. Everything was perfect. The front desk staff were so courteous, accommodating, and helpful and the room was very spacious and super clean. The restaurant staff were also very helpful and made our entire experience wonderful. Regarding the location - this hotel is near EVERYTHING! It is adjacent to an indoor mall and there are supermarkets and pharmacies within a 3 minute walk.

Great stay in Panamá City with absolutely the best free breakfast and ocean view of town. The king suite had a beautiful ocean view with lots of space to relax and well-equipped kitchen. They have an awesome 15th floor rooftop pool to relax and gorgeous view. Every day I had scrambled eggs with different sausage selections, waffles with mango syrup coconut and almonds, fresh local fruit, coffee with caramel sauce and vanilla syrup, plus fresh squeezed watermelon and orange juice selections. Can’t find that at other Marriott locations nor other hotel chains. Service at the hotel was well attentive and I highly recommend this hotel. Easy to get around with cheap Uber rides through out the area.

So the hotel is clean however I had a few MAJOR issues. One.. room did not have one iron had to request on (it’s suppose to be included) 2. I was there for my birthday which they came into my room when I was not there to place a fruit spread but LEFT MY DOOR OPENED THE ENTIRE DAY UNTIL I CAME BACK! 3. The door lock itself was super hard to unlock (contactless) 4. The pool was dirty. Looked like they did not clean it. There were never towels in the area AND all the furniture in the pool area was DIRTY. Like black mold. The buffet style breakfast was okay.

This Hotel is very convenient, especially if you are in Panama for medical reasons. The hotel is adjoining the Pacific center, which houses a huge kosher supermarket. Adjacent to the Pacific Center is a fully equipped Hospital called the Panama Clinic. There is also a lab and a pharmacy onsite. Across from the hotel is a 24 hour supermarket.

It is a new and clean hotel in Punta Pacifica. Everything was good except to control the room temperature. We've tried all night with the help of a hotelier but couldn't make it. It was rainy night and we felt very cold.

We loved this hotel! We had spent our first few days in Panama at Sortis, which was definitely a bit more luxurious. But we were really impressed with this hotel! It is easily the nicest Residence Inn I have ever stayed at. Large, modern, comfortable rooms, excellent shower, comfortable beds, and top-notch customer service! Our Marriott status was recognized, and we were offered an upgrade at check-in. Staff were friendly, and attentive to our needs. The hotel is connected to a mall, which was really convenient for shopping close by. There is also a strip of restaurants right next door. You cannot go wrong with this hotel!

Good location. Below average breakfast. They couldn't find my reservation and shook their head defiantly instead of contacting Rappi to look up my reservation. I had to solve the issue for them but they made a good goodwill gesture to resolve things

A very nice hotel downtown. The views from the rooftop pool are to die for. We loved the time we spent at the hotel. We spent the New Years on the rooftop and we had a blast. Would definitely recommend this place. Would stay here again for sure, when in Panama City !

  • 4/5 Cynthia M. 3 months ago on Google New
Since the hotel is quite new, there was some disappointment regarding some maintenance, and cleaning issues. The airconditioning control was a bit tricky as well. The bed cover (the duvet part) needed to be replaced. The padding of the duvet inside was matted so lumpy and it was stained. Since Marriott is famous for its bedding, this should not be a complaint. Apart from that it was nice and breakfast was good.

  • 4/5 Chris R. 3 months ago on Google New
Only had one day where traffic getting into the hotel was borderline insane, otherwise it was not to bad. Being attached to the mall and close to another makes it easy to go shopping or find multiple food options close by. Staff was friendly, the breakfast was ok. Nothing fancy, and they seem to stop bringing out more food about an hour before they close. So if you want breakfast, don't wait, go early. And make sure you have what you want before close or you will get locked in. (Yes, they closed to doors to the food area with a guy in there..he had to knock on the door for them to let him out)

I love the style and design of the studios, with a great kitchen..and grocery store and health food store across the street .also has good choice of restaurants within walking distance...and the shopping mall with theater all in the same building .best to pay extra to get a room with an ocean view...a few lights from the neighbourhood below And you can see the lights of the ocean freighters at night lined up in a row waiting their turn for the canal..

Great place for extended stay, modern style, amazing view, great location, about 20 min away from Tucuman Airport. The hotel is a part of The Pacific Center and the Panamá Clinic, so you find the hotel, mall, restaurants, stores, theater, movie bistro, hospital, all in one place, I highly recommend this hotel.

From the moment we checked in, we felt like family! Honestly! The place is spotless from top to bottom. The staff is out of this world friendly, generous and caring. Breakfast: The staff was efficient! Eyes everywhere at all times; even when it was busy we always felt seen! A decent selection! Remember you're not in the US so hot options may not be what you consider tradition breakfast food but it was always tasty! You can also request boiled eggs or omelets if they are not apart of the main menu. But baby.... make sure you ask for the hot sauce! DELICIOUS! Rooms: Well maintained and fully stocked kitchens. Very spacious and the view from our room was to die for! Beds were comfy and overall decor was welcoming and homey. Facilities: Rooftop pool and lounge area are super relaxing. Pool closes at 10 but the area stays open to enjoy the breeze with a nice bottle of wine! Truly, my only complaint was the pool could be a bit cleaner but it wasn't filthy by any means just needed a little TLC. But to be honest, that was so low on my list, I didn't bother to stress it. The gym is small but has everything you'll need...elliptical, treadmill, stationary bike, free weights, and two benches. They monitor it nicely by requiring you to sign up and obtaining a special key from the desk. But wait, THERE ARE FREE LAUNDRY SERVICES! Two washers and dryers open all night I believe. We wanted to try another hotel during planning so we switched to another to end our trip and it was the WORSE idea ever. The Residence Inn cannot be beat! Overall: Just stay! Lol... or pay for us to come back😂 Thank you family....we'll be back soon enough!

Have stayed here multiple times. Staff is great. Rooms all have kitchenettes. The included breakfast was good. Kids loved the bread/pastry table. It’s connected to a small indoor shopping center, and a few minutes from MultiPlaza. There’s a grocery store across the street, too. Oh, and they have washer/dryer available for free on the top floor by the pool.

One of my best hotel experiences in a long time. The room was great, amazing view from room and pool area, convenient central location, delicious breakfast buffet, and courteous staff.. Highly recommended for families.

Great in every way! Staff was accommodating with our religious needs when we explained that we don't use an elevator on the Sabbath. They changed the linen daily without prompting, upgraded our room, and stored our luggage for us when we checked out early but had a late flight out.

Tremendous value and location. You never know what you are going to get with a Residence Inn, but this one is definitely top-notch. I tried out this Residence Inn because I love the fish market in Panama, therefore my friend and I were able to use all of the utensils and cookware in order to cook up some delicious fresh fish. Plus, you have Super 99 right across the road, so you can't go wrong. It is also really close to the boardwalk which is nice, and there are plenty of bird scooters around to make it around. I would also like to give a huge shout-out to one of the front desk agents. Her name is Yaki, she was always patient and great at answering any questions that my friend and I had. I noticed the lobby could get quite busy, but she handled it with ease. It shows that she really cares and loves working for Marriott. Thank you Yaki! I was bummed out because I was hoping to experience my first carnival and it was canceled in Panama. I will try again next year though, and I am looking forward to staying here. Thank you!

Very new (Opened in 2020) and modern hotel. Positive: - Friendly staff - Nice breakfast dining area and a good variety of breakfast options. They also change a few things daily so you always get something new. - Continent location, there is a Super 99 supermarket just across the street from the hotel. - Roof top (15th floor) swimming pool and gym. - Nice view from the ocean view rooms to the Pacific ocean. Negative: - Took a long time to check-in, had to wait ~10 min in front of reception counter just for staff to finish what they were doing before serve me. And it took 20+ min for a check-in process. This is not a Marriott standard... - Slow internet. Average 4-5 mpbs upload and download. It's was okay, but per today's standard, this should definitely be improved. - We didn't expect room cleaning service (since pandemic, regular room cleaning service is usually no longer a norm, unless requested). I confirmed with the front desk and indicate our rooms didn't need cleaning service, the employee wrote it down on a request sheet, but the housekeep still entered out room and did the cleaning service. TWO DAYS IN A ROW. Not sure why front desk couldn't communicate this to the housekeeping team. - Low shower water pressure. Overall, it's a great hotel and I would recommend it to anyone.

This hotel has a family friendly vibe, it was clean and every morning the buffet had a different selection with healthy and indulgent options. The view from the rooftop pool is stunning. The hotel is located within a shopping area next door to the Panama Clinic and lots of shops and restaurants. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Multiplaza Mall. There is a movie theater next door. Yes I would stay here again! From our room we could see views of the water and city with beautiful sunrises. Everyone is friendly and courteous.

Words cannot express how exceptional my stay was at the Residence Inn. I came for a short 4 day long weekend trip. The facility was immaculately clean. Staff went above and beyond. Breakfast was generous and the views all throughout the hotel were tres magnifique. Special thanks to the front desk staff. -Julie

Solid stay overall. Maybe the most unique Residence Inn Hotel that I’ve ever stayed in, certainly different in comparison to the U.S. its inside of a mall, ideal for business travel and for families. The location was great, close to the multi plaza mall and walking distance to Super 99, Coffee Max, and Cinta Costera is just under a mile away. The food could use some improvement, a little pricey.. service was very slow. Housekeeping does a nice job just know they don’t provide dishwashing soap, you have to pick some up on your own at the 99 across the way. Nightly rate was reasonable (more on this later). The pool was nice, towels are provided. Views are fantastic. There is a clinic connected which is convenient, but know that they will charge you a $300 deposit for your visit and either charge you the difference or credit you back based on the treatment rendered. A public clinic such as Mar del Sur will only charge you a $15 consultation fee. So why only two stars? Aside from the cons mentioned. I reserved two rooms well in advance via the BonVoy app for 3 nights at just under $700. I had to call to get my final invoice because they never provided a copy. The Hotel charged me the rate that was available at the time of my stay not the rate from the time of my booking. This added an extra $100+ to my bill. The Hotel also disn’t honor the e-gift of $250 that Marriott sent me for being a valued member even though at the time of check in they said they would. Now I’m having to call and get the run around for something that should’ve been handled correctly the first time. This is one of my biggest pet peeves with Hotels and a deciding factor for never staying again. Once I’m done with my stay, I need to move on with life and not have to deal with a mishandled invoice. Residence Inn dropped the ball and I’m still dealing with this almost two weeks later. Quick a recap. 1. I reserved both rooms in advance to take advantage of the lower rate. The Hotel disregarded my reservation and charged the current higher rate. Still waiting for my refund. 2. The Hotel said they would honor the e-gift I received from Marriott of $250. The discount was never received. They asked later if I still wanted to use it. SMH 3. Almost two weeks later and no reward points have been Issued for my two bookings. Though its not my favorite Hotel in Panama, I will say it’s still a solid Hotel overall. My two star rating is more a reflection the poor service received during my stay. It’s reason enough for me to never return.

They cancelled my stay on the day of arrival while I was in the airplane. You cannot rely on booking this hotel even if you book way in advance. They just send an email with a cancellation confirmation but still keep the money up to this day. No sorry nor explanation nor nothing. It seems it happens a lot with them when you look for it on the internet

One of the best Marriott hotels I stayed in (and I travel the world), amazing customer service and attention, sweeping views and next to everything including a 22h/7 supermarket and a Brazilian rodillo/churrasqueira with all you can eat meat salad and sushi buffet right next door!

This hotel was really, really nice and very economical but with a 5-star hotel feel. The average continental breakfast does not exist here. Each morning we were treated to a hearty breakfast with local cuisine as well as the usual staples in the dining area with a spectacular view overlooking Panama City and the water. Our room was on the 13th floor, a King corner room with high windows that surrounded the room. We had an 180 degree view of the City of Panama as well as the ocean, it was very beautiful especially at night. The hotel is conveniently located in a shopping center that houses a grocery store, multiple stores from clothing, to a store similar to Target and even a pharmacy, you pretty much have everything you need right there. They also have valet parking as well as free parking in the garage below the hotel. The hotel is centrally located to the mall, shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful in suggesting places to visit. All in all our stay here was a great experience!
