Very nice place. Got to see live music and had a nice dinner. Good atmosphere, great vibes and great service. Full recommendation if you are around this is a nice option for a nice meal and if you catch a live band you could dance.

Having visited several distilleries and rum bars before we already had an idea in my mind what this place might be like, thankfully it was much better! Happy hour is from 4-6pm daily, we tried most of the cocktails on the menu and I think my favourite has to be Isle Grande, which was almost like a pina colada. We also tried some of the food too, it was tasty and filling so we only had some of the entrees. If I ever come back to Panama I’ll be sure for a return visit.

We've tried several cocktails so far, and they have all been delicious. Start with the signature mojito. Great balance and flavor. The Isla Grande gives that fruitier, tropical flavor that some like. Be warned, the Panama Viejo is strong! A blend of three rums over angostura infused ice with a touch of banana liqueur. The tostones de langostino were my favorite appetizer, but the empanadas de tasajo were a very solid runner-up. We also shared the bruleed brioche rum bread pudding. 😳 What?? Seriously delicious! Staff have been kind and very attentive on each visit. They answer questions the best they can and have made recommendations when we've asked, all of which have been great A couple have spoken a little English and we speak a little Spanish; communication was fine for us Americanos, but don't go here expecting to find staff fluent in English.

The El Cangrejo location has a wonderful terrace that is perfect for people watching. The food was quite nice and the service was very attentive.

Love this place! Has great cocktail. Andres the head bartender is passionate about making quality craft cocktails. Food is good. Drinks are amazing!

This location is nice if you are in the area (lots of restaurants nearby) - but if you have a choice, go to the one in Casco Viejo. Decor is similar in both locations (think Key West-ish) - but feel is different (Casco Viejo seems more laid back). Drinks are superb! We tried the ceviche, Cubano, and tostones with langostino - fresh and great flavors! Highly recommend you make a stop, or two, or three! Service was good.

Randomly stopped here for our first lunch in Panama City. The host, John, was patient with our imperfect Spanish and helped us choose excellent tapas that weren't too spicy for my husband but also satisfactory for my taste buds. Our server, Karelys, was super friendly, as was the chef. The atmosphere was pure Casablanca, with slowly revolving fans, dark wood and beautiful old fashioned prints of flora and fauna adorning the walks. The prices were completely reasonable. We nursed our large beers for the entire meal, but wouldn't mind returning for one of their many choices of drinks involving rum.

What to say about my favorite bar in the neighborhood? Great atmosphere, beautiful decor, great music, lovely service and simply the best and authentic Mojitos in town! LOVE , LOVE, LOVE!!!!

If you're going to drink rum in Panama City, I suggest you only buy Pedro Mandingo Rum. Having learned the effort put in through a distillery tour and tasted the rum as well as their signature Mojito, I can safely say that you won't find anything beer anywhere else in the city. The bar is in a cool part of town and isn't super crowded, even on the Friday night I went. I had to bring back a couple of cans of their mojitos in a can. It's better than some 5-Star hotel Mojitos I've had in NYC.

Great Rum bar with many special cocktails from the house and their craft beer Rana Dorada. Also, very good food with vegan options. Went for their Mixology class which includes 3 cocktails. Recommended!

What an amazing experience. I visited the bar for the first time, we couldn't decide too much but we chose the whole rum-tasting set. In the meantime, "by accident" I started a conversation with a gentleman sitting comfortably in the middle of the room in an armchair. They turned out to be the owner and founder of the Mandinga brand himself. I learned some amazing things and information about how rum is made. I recommend everyone to visit this location!

Drinks were great! I recommend the mule and mojito! Sooo good! I also tried a rum flight to sample their various rums, I ended up buying a bottle. The staff was very friendly. When I come back to Panamá I will come back here!

Great restaurant with nice and friendly service, it was my first restaurant that I visited in Panama and I chose it because it was near the hostel and has nice reviews. I would highly recommend, beer was nice and food delicious 🙂

The only good thing about this place was the plantain chips that came with the burger. We don’t drink alcohol, so I can’t comment on the drinks, but the food was terrible! The burger was overly seasoned with pepper, and the bacon was undercooked. And here’s the worst part… They don’t have ketchup. If I would’ve known that in advance, I never would have ordered a burger. They must have amazing drinks because their rating does not match the food. There are much better places to eat, especially if you want a burger.

Great Rum Bar with indoor and outdoor seating options. No TVs so be prepared to have fun conversations. Excellent selection of national and international rum along with other liquors. The menu looks appealing though I didn't try. If Andres is working behind the bar, you will be in for a wonderful time.

I love everything about this place.. you enter into this bar and it’s like you are transported into another dimension. The people who serve in the restaurant are very friendly and have great bartending and cooking skills. Truly recommend you try all their rums. My favorite is their silver rum, as you can taste the sweet balanced and complex rum that is created due to the great raw material they buy.

Great service, nice location and great food but my favorite thing about this place is the old school salsa classics that they play. You can never go wrong with some Willie Colón, Héctor Lavoe or El Gran Combo 🙌

Love this place. Great ‘cigar bar’ type of ambience. There is another location in Old Town, both equally excellent service and Rums! Had the Silver , Geisha and Cocoa rums! Their coconut flan is so good we went back 3x just to have it. You can also get a rum tasting for free. Happy hour noon- 7pm!

I highly recommend that you stop in for a cocktail at this bar. The decor is very much old Florida. The service is really good. The drinks are delicious. Try the El Canal Buck, it has a very nice spice note between the ginger and the spiced rum.

Comfortable rum bar with a great concept and a solid menu. Get the Panameno Cubano. You will not regret it.

Fantastic rums, $10 flight and their coffee rum is fantastic. One of the best mojitos I've ever had.

A wonderful place. Had we a longer stay in the city, we would have returned many times. And they had the best stout we have had in more than a year (sorry, it is sold out now, we drank all they had).

We used to make a point of visiting the Casco location on every visit to Panamá. We moved to Panamá full time a month ago and decided to check out Via Argentina. We were the only people here at 2pm on a Saturday and it was just lovely. We took advantage of Happy Hour to get our regular Cuba Libre and then try the Secolada (very sweet and tasty) and the El Canal Buck (intensely spicy but very good!). The tostones de puerco are very good, but the Sandwich Panameño Cubano is where it’s at. Very comfortable small bar with good service and good music. The bartender gave great attention to our cocktails even though they were on discounted.

(Translated by Google) The vibe of this place is too good, it even seems that you are not in Panama. The sauce in the background, the atmosphere and the drinks make a good game for a good experience. The only drawback for the place is finding parking. (Original) La vibra de este lugar es demasiado buena, incluso pareciera que no estás en Panamá. La salsa de fondo, el ambiente y los tragos hacen buen juego para una buena experiencia. El único inconveniente por el lugar es encontrar estacionamiento.

We were looking for an authentic rum tasting while touring Panama City. We found this place in the lively El Cangrejo neighborhood. The manager was kind enough to explain our rum flight in English. We ended up staying for the food and it was so amazing. Enjoyed the grilled cheese with caramelized onion, tomato soup, goat cheese toasts, and empanadas.
