Was not clean, internet worked poorly, left because I could not stay there, but paid in full for the whole 7 days although they promise to reimburse me, for all the days I did not stay. Contacting them did no good, they rather keep my money although I run away from that terrible place and terrible person running that hotel.

Charming and comfortable! Luis in particular was OUTSTANDING at being prepared for everything you may need, including making the best mimosas in this hemisphere.

I've stayed at Villa Palma twice and both times were great. The hotel is lovely and the service is excellent. Highly recommend!

Wonderful hotel. The customer service was incredible, especially Luis. Whether he was tending bar, checking us in and out, and everything in between, he attended to all our needs and made us feel extremely welcome. Should I ever find myself in Panama City again, I will absolutely be at the Villa Palma. Pics are from the balcony of room 2006.

I had a horrible experience with this hotel. Unfortunately, I was in Panama during the dangerous protest and road blockages. When I landed I was told not to leave the airport by Panama immigration. I quickly got in the phone to cancel my reservation with this hotel. They said they would cancel my reservation no charge instead they said I was a no show and charged me anyway! They’ve ignored my calls and e-mails. This place will do anything to keep your money! Go somewhere else.

Fabulous hotel! Very beautiful lounge, bar and restaurant. The room was fantastic and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable, they give two waters and two coffees per day. The rooftop Jacuzzi is very comfortable and you have a fantastic view of the City. They'll even bring you drinks. The staff are fantastic, friendly, and interested in your comfort. They want you to enjoy your stay! Sain helped me get transportation from the airport, and every time he saw me he greeted me by name and was excited to hear about my adventures. Lissury worked the overnight shift when I was there. We had a fabulous conversation about the country, the people, and all the wonderful things about Panama. I had the opportunity to practice my Spanish with these two staff, and they were very kind and accommodating to my mistakes. I'm sorry I didn't get the name of other staff. They cleaned my room very well each day, and also greeted me as I left for the day. All hotel staff are wonderful. I will definitely come back here when I return to Panama. Fabulous, fabulous experience.

This hotel has beautiful architecture and decor. The room we stayed in has two floors and a balcony overlooking the city skyline. Everything was high standard and the staff were super helpful and kind! Walking distance to great restaurants. Highly recommend!

Located in a great position in the Old Town. We had just completed 88 day trip around South America where all the breakfast are just bread, ham and cheese. So it was great to have a menu for breakfast that supplied top quality hot food. The rooms are fantastic. If I had to have a criticism then the shower in the bathroom was very weak and the hot water took a long time to come through. This wasn’t an issue enough for me to knock any stars off. The restaurant also did lunch and dinner which like everything else was top quality. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful hotel in my favorite neighborhood! The rooms are gorgeous and the staff was top notch. The room was very quiet which is hard to come by in Casco.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful area. The staff were friendly, helpful, and nice. The room itself was comfortable, spacious over two levels, and had an elegant feel. It is close to so many great restaurants and rooftop bars within walking distance. The restaurant and bar on the first floor were also great. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Staff were concerned with how we were doing and were nice to speak with. Would love to return next year!

First of all no where does it say you need to climb a spiral staircase to get to your room!! My husband is 68 years old and on top of that he had to carry our suitcases up!! We were checked in after 3:00. The room is pretty and charming. The drapes look like they’ve never been cleaned. There is only one towel in the bathroom. We only ran into two staff members. They were very kind and considerate, but that may be the reason why service is so low.

We are American travelers that stayed overnight at Villa Palma, a beautiful boutique colonial-style hotel in a waterside setting downtown across from the Sofitel and near the Presidential Palace. The young staff was a breath of fresh air and could not have been nicer in setting up our trip, pick-up at the airport and drop-off the next morning, helping us with bags when the elevator was being repaired, and fixing a cute and beautiful breakfast the morning we left. They upgraded our room without any request by us. They also recommended a perfect local restaurant open late. Perfect! Panama City was GORGEOUSLY decorated for the Christmas season, and a surprise on our visit.

Villa Palma really is the best pick for a hotel in Casco Viejo. The rooms are gorgeous, the dinner we had was amazing and our host Sian, who was checking us in, was great! Everyone from the hotel really goes the extra mile for their guests. They for sure made our stay memorable!

My wife and I stayed here in order to make a connection when departing Bocas Del Toro. This was our second stay in Panama City, with the first being at a different hotel. While the cost at Villa Palma was a little higher, the difference in quality was night and day and well worth the difference. Definitely one of the nicest rooms and hotels that we have stayed in during any of our visits outside of the US, and if we are ever in Panama City again we will look here first. Highly recommend!

The staff is SO friendly and very helpful! We stayed here our first night in Panama and it was a perfect start to our trip! While we only stayed one night, we absolutely loved our stay here! The rooms are super unique and the location is perfect.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, 5 stars for them! The reason why the room gets 4 stars is because the couch and drapery in the room could really use some cleaning and there was only one flat sheet used as a fitted sheet on the bed with no other flat sheet. Very spacious rooms for the price. In all, a cute hotel in a great part of Casco Antiguo.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! The staff is top notch and very hospitable! The room was amazing with beautiful touches throughout. Thank you so much for having us!! Absolutely love this hotel!!

My wife and I stayed here for three nights along with my mother, siblings and their partners over Easter weekend 2023. The bi-level rooms were a surprising (although they thankfully had one that wasn't for my mother for whom the stairs would have been a challenge), but our time there couldn't have been better. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, the restaurant was really good, as was the jacuzzi pool on the roof-top terrace. The location couldn't have been better too, with all the sights of Casco Viejo close by, though substantially cheaper than the hotel across the street. I'd love to go back and stay again.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Villa Palma. The staff went out of their way, extremely clean, friendly, and great location. The top deck view was breathtaking, and hardly anyone was using it. So late night dancing, and morning meditations in the jacuzzi was uninterrupted on the top deck was a bonus. I regretted that I changed hotels for my birthday, and I checked to see if I could get out of my reservation, but unfortunately I could not. Learn from my mistake and stay at Villa Palma! This will be my hotel going forward.

Gorgeous hotel in a prime location, well restored with huge rooms and a breathtaking view. Staff is very accomodating and the rooftop has one of the best views in all of old town, great place to stay if you`re looking for something special!

Situated at the old center thus is a stylish building. Room was ok, bathroom a little outdated. We had a very noisy room with 2 sources of music attacking us but as our jetlag kicked in we had an OK night... Staff very friendly!

Everyone that works at the hotel are awesome! Very helpful staff! Beautiful room and the view is spectacular! Beatrice, Ada, Lissury, Saim, Fabian, Rommen all made me feel welcome and at home! I don’t want to leave!!!

My partner and I travel often and don't travel on a huge budget, but we do like nice things...this hotel was perfect for our budget and was incredibly well maintained. The beds are comfortable, great pillows too. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. And a very nice breakfast! 10/10 will be staying here again.

I recently stayed at the Villa Palma which is marketed as a boutique, upscale, 5 star hotel, only to discover that the sophistication ended at the surface. The so-called "onsite restaurant" was nothing more than tables shoved in the lobby, and the front desk resembled a makeshift table rather than a professional reception area. To add insult to injury, one of our rooms experienced water leakage issues, while the other was plagued by mold in the bathroom. We traveled in from further into the country overnight due to the protests and road closures. When we arrived the hotel was able to accommodate an early check in but at the cost of $55, despite the rooms being vacant and ready anyway. And to make matters even worse, this hotel blatantly leaves sensitive guest information to include copies of passports, unsecured and unattended at the so called front desk. The lack of genuine luxury, combined with hidden issues, an opportunistic approach to charge us more, and a blatant disregard for my personal information, left me thoroughly disappointed with what is marketed as a premium experience.

Beautiful little boutique hotel located in the most nice area in Panama City. Here, the service is really good and the staff Sain was very friendly. The interior is really beautiful and the exterior to. There is a very nice rooftop with a swimmingpool and a view of the skyline of Panama. Highly recommend to stay here!

Rooms are Gaudy ..Marble floors, spiral staircase, loud paintings of birds, fruit & flowers. King-size bed that we barely fit on...ha...false advertising that bit. Excellent Service, they bend over backwards for you. Perfect location to vist the old city. Felt very very safe here. See police and military everywhere. But they too are friendly. Excellent restaurants and several roof top bars nearby. But ain't cheap...2 drinks run $30 USA dollars.

Beautifully appointed hotel, excellent location, but what really stands out is the staff's and especially Joel's excellent customer service a rarity to find these days. They made sure a solo traveler in the time of covid was well cared for and comfortable. We will be back!

My allergies are to the roof due to mold in the a/c unit. The minute I stepped into the room I could smell the mold. I complained and I was told the decoration wood is what the smell come from which I decided to go with. 3 hours later, I’m barely able to breath! Not to mention I killed the ugliest spider I ever seen inside the room. Btw room looks nothing like the pics online fyi

Excellent experience with this boutique hotel. Met upon arrival by Edwin, who was very helpful during our entire stay. He was even very occommodating when we needed to schedule a Covid test to return to the US, nurse showed up at the Hotel, we were able to get it taken care of in the comfort of the Hotel, and had results in less than 12hrs. Teo was also very helpful during our stay, took the time to offer suggestions and was very pleasant. Hotel was always very clean and in a perfect location to wander around old town/Casco Viejo. One of our favorite aspects was the rooftop terrace. We spent a good deal of time up there at the end of the day sipping on good local beers, playing chess and enjoying the sights. Thank you Edwin, Teo, housekeeping and the rest of the hotel staff for helping us have such an enjoyable stay. Highly recommended and if I ever come back to Panama, will definitely stay here again.

Had an amazing experience with Villa Palma. Our room was clean and had a great view of the skyline. Service was very friendly and helpful. The location could not be better, quiet enough from the nightlight, but easy walking distance to everything in old town area. Tons of restaurants nearby. Would happily stay here again!

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and we are glad that we chose this hotel. The location is perfect and the rooms are clean with a very unique and nice design. The staff are amazing and very helpful. Anything that we needed they immediately addressed. They also arrangers our return home Covid test at the hotel and printed the results for us. We also tried the food at the hotel and it was great. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Fabulous service in a perfect location! They have nice snacks and free drinks in the lobby. New Year's had no cover for their rooftop. A chill place that will impress on all standards! Good drinks here with a good view!

Wonderful hotel, excellent experience, fantastic staff...Sain the daytime desk clerk was so professional, was so helpful with any issues, had recommendations of other activities I could do when my tours were cancelled...the other staff members were great as well...highly recommended...would reserve another stay next time I'm in Panama!!!

I loved everything about this hotel but mostly their wonderful staff. The hotel has 14 rooms only so the staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is top notch. There is a jacuzzi on the roof top which is just perfect. The canal museum, diablicos restaurant, the cathedral and other tourist attractions near by. About a $10 uber ride to la cinta costera and the Panama canal.

Great hotel with well appointed rooms located in the old section of Panama City (Casco Viejo). Easy walk to many sites and good restaurants. The staff is great and very helpful.

I absolutely plan to return to this amazing hotel. The staff were all lovely and even granted us a free upgrade. They were always helpful with suggestions for things to do, where to eat, and what to see. The hotel was clean with good wifi and comfortable spaces. The breakfast was also quite good. Highly recommend.

We got 2 rooms in this hotel in August- suite and deluxe. Both rooms had picture worthy fantastic decorations! Ambiance fit perfectly into Casco Antiguo mood. Rooms have all basics and stuff provides more if requested. Level of service was incredible. They customise their approach to us and catered to every request. Location by the way is absolutely perfect!

Perfect Holel! Amazing Stuff!!! Great experience! We had an amazing experience with Villa Palma. Location is absolutely great, easy walking distance to everything in old town area. Tons of restaurants nearby. Our room was clean and had everything for good stay. The hotel has 13 rooms, there is a jacuzzi on the roof top which is just perfect. FIVE STARS IS FOR THE STAFF! Service was very friendly and helpful. We loved everything about this hotel but mostly their wonderful staff. They made our stay is just EXCELLENT! We will definitely stay here again!

I had an absolutely amazing experience with Villa Palma. First of all, the location is fabulous. It's close to the sea walkway, countless shops, restaurants and markets. I had chatted with Erwyn Mackee the owner. He's an awesome gentleman. He asked me my needs and wants and booked me into a perfect room. The rate was very reasonable, particularly considering the level of luxury that is offered. As soon as you open the front door you are blown away by the luxurious tasteful decor. You feel transported to some place totally unique. Luis, the manager and concierge, was incredibly helpful and kind. He was a wealth of information too. The room was spotless and opulent. You actually have the feeling that you are staying in a palace. The rooftop of the building gives you an incredible view of the old city. Bring your camera. Rodanin was the chef and his creations looked as good as they tasted. They were exceptional. Yunay was my waitress and she was very charming and professional too. Morning, noon and night this is the place to be! Don't forget to ask about Edwin's other hotels in Panama and Columbia too. You will want to try them all. I sure do!
