This place is very miraculous for me and to the rest of my family. Just right your petitions in a good, reasonable and spiritual manner. Write it as if you were asking for help in prayers thru the sisters of st claire. The place is very clean, quiet and solemn.

A peaceful worship place. Well ventilated and well managed. Comfortable to stay during your visit. You can pray peacefully. You may lit your candles at the candle area at the back. You may drop your offerings and leave them with the guard on duty. As of now, people are not allowed to enter the place where the relic of Saint Claire is located. They closed it since the pandemic started in 2020, but people can still view from the outside and say their prayers and wishes. Upon entrance, you'll be welcomed by vendors of flowers and eggs. Most of them are friendly; when you say no, they will accept it.

All this time I studied and stayed in UP Diliman I was not aware that there is this monastery nearby where you can attend Mass and pray for your wishes. I just heard it from my brother who heard it from his girlfriend. We went there from QC Memorial Circle by GrabShare but this is easily accessible by jeep from Cubao. When we arrived, me and my brother bought eggs as offering near the entrance of the church, where the cutie cat was located. The eggs were originally priced at ₱60 each but since we bought six bundles we got it with a discount (it was sold to us at ₱50/bundle). They were color coordinated depending on what you're praying for. Red is for travel and finances, blue for board exams, pink for love and family, orange for business, yellow for thanksgiving. It's not required to have it color coordinated though. I saw some people donating a whole tray of eggs without the plastic wrapper. Eco-friendly, actually. Once you're inside the church area, they provide the pencils and paper you can use to write your thoughts and prayers. There's ample tables and seats provided too so you're comfortable writing. Once done, you go inside the prayer room where you give first your offerings to an attendant then you pray. There's a dropbox requesting people to provide their names and addresses in case they had answered prayers. Not a requirement but I think it helps price the miracles of the monastery's founder. We attended the 5:30pm mass and it was not crowded at all, which is nice because we were expecting it was since it was a Sunday. It was very arid but thanks to large fans, I felt comfortable enough inside.

A perfect hidden spot amidst the busy roads of the city. The place is solemn and quiet. It's a good place to find inner peace and to have one-to-one conversation with the Creator. It's also home to St. Claire, whom we offers eggs and prayers to. For the eggs, they don't sell them inside so you better buy them from the vendors outside. Each half dozen or a dozen eggs are wrapped in colored cellophanes, which meant a specific type of wish and prayer. It's a fun tradition and works for me.

Visited here to offer prayers to pass my upcoming board exam. Place was serene. Came here with a lot of worries and restless due to review but after praying through the intercession of Sta. Clara, my mind and heart was at peace. - Place has ample parking space especially during off-peak hours. - Vendors for eggs and sampaguita will welcome you when you enter the monastery. Half dozen eggs cost ₱70 when we visited. - You can light a candle near the convent. There's a big container near the votive stand where you can get red candles. You just have to give any amount of donation. - You will place the eggs down the convent. The box container is beside kuya guard. You can also write your petitions on a paper and pencil which they will provide. There were also chairs and tables where you can contemplate what to write on the paper. Overall, it was a really great spiritual experience. Hope to visit again soon! 🙏🏻

They believe that if you pray your wishes here and offer eggs, your wish will come true. Students who will take their exams offer eggs here prior to the date of their examination.

Mass is at 6AM sundays. There are several egg vendors in the area so you can offer it. You may need to leave it at the guard near the entrance of the church. Expect many people. :)

Solemn experience. People are responsible and is praying real hard. Most of them (I think) will take an exam because they are bringing their pencils with them. Many also write petition and offer eggs. Sunday mass schedules in Sta. Clara is 06:30-07:30 and 17:30-18:30. They also have huge parking area.

Still a great place to offer flowers, eggs and prayers to St. Claire. The chapel, prayer writing and relic adoration areas are still closed to the public as part of their health protocols. Offerings are made near the guard house in the entrance area.

It's a sacred place to ask and wish for what you needed. They're selling egg wrap in different color that corresponds in different subjects like for board exam, for travel, for financial or even for lovelife. And it is really peaceful there and the staff are really friendly.

Parking space could be sparce depending on the time and day that you visit. If you want to donate eggs, as per tradition, it is more frugal to just buy it from the supermarket and write your wishes in advance. Social distancing should still be maintained and most people adhere to that rule. Face masks and Shields are necessary.

A best place to reflect and pray to God.if you're student specially you're about to take board examination, Monasterio Real de Sta. Clara de Manila is a must go church to ask for guidance, strength and wisdom for your board exam. You can buy eggs outside of the church categories buy different colours depends in your different needs and then you can write your wish and prayer in piece of paper and give it to the person inside. Sta. Clara, pray for us. Amen

After many years since my last visit, it has retained its solemn ambience. We went on a Sunday hoping to attend the 12nn mass but the grills were already placed. The place where we used to offer eggs and prayers were also closed. Good thing, we were still able to light candles. Hope the details in their website can be updated.

Thank for opening again the monastery to the public after a long while during the pandemic. We hear mass everyday and we suggest to please allow the mass goers to still stay for few minutes for thanksgiving after mass before closing the grills (roll up & roll down of the church area). Immediately after the priest gives his final blessing one can hear already the chain being pulled down by the guard to close the grills at the back area while creating an annoying noise of the chain. The guard on duty then proceed to the middle opening leaving the grill half open from the top and for us to bend down to get out of the church if you still stay inside. Its simply indicating us to please go out now for we are closing the church. We tried to explain to the guard to please allow mass goers to spend a little time for thanksgiving (at least 5 to 10 mins) after mass but he would still routinely do the same thing. Thank you for considering our appeal to please allow us to spend a little more time with Our Lord peacefully even for a short while after the mass inside the Church Proper. God bless all the St. Claire’s Sisters and the Priests who have been celebrating mass everyday and we hope that confession will be resumed too soon.

As my wife wishes to visit this Monasterio de Santa Clara.. it's Granted this place is so solemnly

  • 4/5 Jed P. 1 year ago on Google
This place is essentially a landmark. This has been quoted even in literary works of Dr Rizal. Although the place has preserved its charm, but there are a lot of vendors crowding the place, disrupting the ambience and serenity it's supposed to have.

  • 3/5 Rej R. 1 year ago on Google
Maybe due to financial reasons why the Monasterio de Santa Clara was the shade of its previous glorious days. A lot of vendors are now thriving near the gates and a would-be parking boy is directing traffic to and from the gates waiting to be given some alms. The statue of Santa Clara was on display last time but can never be seen now. The monastery needs financial support to enhance their security and renovate their chapel and other facilities. I do hope this monastery can go back to its illustrious days and fend off the vendors that sometimes can take off the solemnity and spirituality of the monastery.

This is the monastery of the Poor Clares. They have an area for receiving petitions and prayers by the nuns in the convent. There is also a a big church that is airy, even though it is not air-conditioned. To get inside there is a driveway for picking up and dropping off visitors.

  • 5/5 Celina C. 4 years ago on Google
A place for people with fervent intentions. Bring eggs wrapped in cellophane, they have a respective color code for every intention made. Otherwise, eggs go for Php60 for 6pcs at the entrance of the church.
