We stayed for 4 nights, while my husband was doing the dive course. The overall stay was great- room had all the necessary amenities, complimentary toiletries bag with essential things in it, nice balcony to relax (we had upper room) with a beautiful view of garden and ocean. Resort zone had various types of sun beds, as well as 2 pools, so it was nice and comfortable to spend my day here while husband was diving. Staff is very friendly and always there to help. Also no need to worry about food and drinks, since there is an on site cafe and restaurant. Everything was clean and taken care of, our experience makes us want to return in future. I also highly recommend to go on snorkelling tour. Boat and equipment is modern, crew professional- you’ll have an amazing and fun day out! 5/5 👍 THE place where to be in Nusa Penida 🏝

I really enjoyed diving with Mambo Dove Resort. We dove with Uys and had 3 fun dives, one of which was in Manta Point. All the dives were amazing and pretty long (1h), plus gears were in really good conditions. On top of that, the staff is helpful and friendly and the facilities are clean and new. Highly recommended!

The most excellent service in the whole island. And I’m not even exaggerating. The diving instructor, Stiva; so friendly with my kids. The other staff are so accommodating ; they comply quickly to any request. Breakfast is excellent. So many choices, and above all, fantastic coffee. Will be back here soon.

We are a family of 5 (3 kids aged 14-18) who completed our Open Water Certification with Mambo. It was a great experience. From the start Mambo were easy and responsive to communicate with via email. Our fantastic instructors were Ace and Aldo. Ace took the time and didn’t rush the kids through the skills and only moved forward when they were ready. Aldo was cool, relaxed and patient with us. The facilities are great with a pool onsite. Penida is stunning. The dives were varied with plenty of coral, fish and turtles to see. Where else would you want to learn to dive than with Mambo, Penida.

I dived with Mambo Dive Resort in 07/03/20 in Nusa Penida. It was an outstanding experience, just 3 in total in my group (instructor, one guy and me - SMALL GROUPS ARE THE BEST ), also the instructor Ace was amazing (he's very experienced) and all crew and staff are very good. The dive center is new and all equipment are loke brand new. I saw many Mantas in my dive, it was amazing! My partner did snorkel and she loved too, she was able to see the Mantas. Thank you Mambo dive, I will be back for sure!

The best dive resort in Nusa Penida. The most complete resort for divers: very clean and organized dive center, wooden classic room for stay and direct access swimming pool, beach front restaurant with most beautiful ocean view and Mount Agung… i guess the famous diver’s motto: “dive eat sleep” exist is because of this resort. Definately I will stay in Mambo Dive Resort again for my next trip to Nusa Penida with my family / friends..

It was a fantastic diving experience. All of the diving leaders( instructors and masters: thanks to Gman, Travis, Ace and Alvon!)are kind and experienced and they try hard to find the terrific Marine lives under the water! This is my first time seeing Molamola and I will never forget the excitement that I had. I also enjoyed the beach time after the diving with a bottle of beer❤️ worth visiting!

My family and I stayed at the Mambo Dive Resort for three nights and were absolutely blown away. The staff here are so lovely and accommodating! The rooms are gorgeous with a fantastic view and the restaurant is perfect. We actually ate every meal here. We’re not usually the type of family to stay at a resort and not leave, but at Mambo you just don’t want to go anywhere else! We swam and went snorkelling in the beach out the front. We will definitely be coming back. A must-stay if travelling to Nusa Penida!! (:

Good and professional staff. I was snorkeling 3 times with Mambo divers saw Mantas 2 times, even in january! Plenty to see in the reefs. We also stayed in hotel at the beach wich was great. There is construction site in next land, but that was fine as we had plenty of activities during the day. Food is good! Rooms are clean and nice, specially lower floor, as there is direct access to pool.

The location: Not too far from the harbour. Mambo also provides transport from the harbour to the resort (and vice versa) which was really convenient for us, so we didn't have to make any arrangement to get a taxi to the resort. The room: We loved everything about our room. We were given room no. 5. The location is just perfect for my family. We loved the swimming pool right outside our room. The kids had a great time! It's also super convenient to access the cafe just right in front our room and then, it's already the beach. Every night, we were serenaded by the live band music, which we truly enjoyed. The room is cleaned on a daily basis. Cleanliness is superb. Although the room isn't that spacious but it's good and comfortable enough for us family of 4. The service: The staffs there were all friendly and helpful. We also had 2 massage sessions that we booked through the reception and they arranged masseuse to our room. We got to enjoy our massage session while enjoying the live band music from our room. Breakfast was provided and they had variations that you can pick from their menu. We also had dinner there a few times and the food is tasty. Moreover, they don't serve pork/ham/bacon, which was a super plus point for us as we are Muslims. The only downside that I could think of is, they were undergoing construction at the cafe, hence there were construction workers during the day working. Other than that, there are flies flying everywhere every time there is food, but this is not in Mambo only but, every other places in the island seem to be the same 😅 Overall, we truly enjoyed our holiday trip, and we are so glad we made the decision to stay at Mambo Dive Resort for 4 nights. Very chill, peaceful and lovely place to stay in. Thank you for having us, Mambo Dive Resort! Would love to come again 🥰

We did snorkeling, you go together with the divers wich is better because you feel more safe. the instructors explain you carefully and they are always attentive you feel comfortable. Are small groups with guides with a lot knowledge. the experience was so nice, we saw mantas and turtles we were so lucky and at the end lunch ☺️. When we go back we will do diving 😁😁

I had a fantastic experience diving with Mambo. I started with a refresher course with Doris which helped me refresh my memory after 7 years or not diving. The day after we went diving to crystal bay and manta point and we saw many mantas and they were swimming above our heads it’s was like a movie. Staff is very calm, fun, respectful of the ocean and professional, I felt really safe in their surrounding. Especially from not having diving in the ocean for 7 years, I definitely recommend Mambo dive resort! Go go go! Don’t sleep

Awesome experience at such a cool place! Great instructors including Ace and the female instructor from China (her name is escaping me) and friendly workers. They also included lunch after our snorkel tour and played great music. We saw tons of mantas and one of the instructors (Agustu) took great GoPro footage of us. The dive resort itself is gorgeous and a great place to hang out. We chilled at the pool until our ferry back to Bali.

Amazing experience with Sebastiaan and his team. I did my first Discover Scuba Dive today, it was incredible around Manta point. We experienced huge, serene Manta Rays swimming around us. Loved every minute of it, everyone was so lovely and welcoming. Nice lunch at the end of the trip. Super chilled vibes, nice diving pool experience prior to diving in sea.

Just came back from a day's diving with Mambo, and it was really nice! This dive shop makes you feel like it is all about the customer satisfaction; we (of course) asked about going to manta point, and instead of just taking our money they advised not to go unless we really really wanted to take the risk as very few mantas had been seen the last week and also the visibility was really bad. Instead we went to other (cheaper) dive spots and had a really nice day with comfortable drift dives and one dive guide for the two of us, which made it extra relaxed. Apart from that the prices here are a bit less steep compared to other dive centres on the island. Definitely recommend Mambo for diving around Nusa Penida!

We came to Mambo after hearing about a friend.This is our forst time to Bali as well as first time snorkeling.From the very beginning,we felt the difference about Mambo as the staff were very pleasant and helpful always.They greet you with beverages if needed,provide you with equipments for diving and snorkeling.We felt safe throughout.After a wonderful sea experience,we were served a tasty veg/non veg lunch and free gifts.This was definitely an experience of a lifetime.Highly recommended.Shall come again.Best wishes to Mambo!! We did a snorkelling trip with Mambo in January, they were super professional, safe and looked after us very well! You set off from the beach near their office in the morning depending on the tide and you go to a couple of spots. Their equipment is very good quality and we got lunch afterwards and can hang out on the beach or the pool! Highly recommend.

The best dive starts with great research. And you’ve just found the best spot in Nusa Penida. 👍🙏 Everything was extremely professional, we did the snorkeling trip with Agos and our divers with Jon! The center makes the best first impression with nicely prepared whiteboard with all trips for days ahead. Then you start in the morning first with safety instructions. After that, they have already all the necessary gear prepared for you. The crew on the boat is amaziiing and the boat was brand new. We were only 4 snorkelers and 1 diver on the boat, which made it feel super private apart from all other companies with overcrowded boats that offer lower prices. We did 3 amazing stops, saw turtles and oh my god… the mantas! After that we had an amazing boat ride back with a very nice and superbly friendly atmosphere. The center also provides cookies and drinks on boat, towels on the boat and back in the center, and of course - bathrooms and lockers. After we were finished with the snorkeling trip, they also prepared a fantastic lunch for us. ❤️ I definitely recommend this place and I will be back for sure!

We went to go diving with the world’s friendliest and funnest dive instructor named Aldo, it’s really and super duper fun activity and super recommended resort and diving facility. Highly recommend for the one who’s trying to do some new activities and place to stay, the food also amazing and delicious. Definitely coming back next!

Mambo Dive experience was thrilling, enjoyable and comfortable throughout the entire trip. The boat wasn’t overcrowded, there was water, tea and food provided and plenty of fresh and hot towels. We were lucky enough to see a couple of manta rays at manta point and plenty of turtles and beautiful fish along the way. Highly recommend and look forward to going again at some point.

Such a great experience with the dive team, we saw 5+ manta’s - recommend going before 7am! My partner and I did snorkeling and we saw so many fish and the guides were so helpful and showed us so many sea life! The restaurant is also amazing, my partner and I went for dinner 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed on the island. Rega was such an amazing host, she remembered us from previous nights 🤍

Just finished a three dive day, started at 9 and finished at 3. Was led by Michael and assisted by Doris. I’ve been diving around SE Asia, and they were far and away the most professional and organized. Michael had a very well thought out and versed dive plan, and at the end - we saw a whale shark. The food they provide was also the best. This is a professional shop, couldn’t ask for more.

Yasa my instructor was super skillful and friendly, Im so lucky he showed me around and we got to see manta, sunfish and dolphins! definitely will come back!

I highly recommend Mambo diving!! The staff and diving instructors made me feel very safe and were super friendly! Lunch, tea, coffee, biscuits and water were provided aswell as somewhere to store our belongings and a water proof bag for when we were on the boat. The price was really good for everything that was included and how long we were on the boat, we got to dive in 2 very beautiful spots while having instructors watch to make sure we were safe at all times, I will definitely be recommending Mambos to any of my friends who visit Nusa Penida 😊😁🌊

We did snorkeling this morning in 3 different locations. It was an amazing experience at ,manta point we seen 6-8 giant mantas. At the next two locations we seen amazing coral and some beautiful fish. It was well worth the money. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would definatly recommend if your coming to Nusa Penida.

Michael and Doris at Mambo created a super relaxed, friendly environment for me to learn how to dive. They were always well-prepared and took their time to explain things. We saw a manta ray and bamboo shark on our first dive; could not have imagined a better place to learn how to dive!

I dived for two days here with two different instructors and both were great. They were very accommodating to my two young boys and their mum whilst I went off diving. They were very knowledgeable, the whole place and kit were exceptional. I would not hesitate to recommend that anyone dives or snorkels with them.

I did three amazing dives at Mambo Dive Resort with Sammy as my Dive Master. Sammy really did his best in making the dives as enjoyable as possible, with spotting beautiful animals and even making GoPro video's and pictures that he put on my SD card later! The Dive Resort is new and looks beautiful, with good equipment and a great boat. They gave us plenty of water and a good veggie lunch. My highlights were the Manta rays, Cuttlefish, Giant Trivally, Green sea turtles and a Bamboo shark. ♥️

Probably the best diving centre in Penida, great services and reliable safty measures. Well organised trips are fun yet flexible. We were able to swim with the dolphins on the way back from the Manta trip which was really fun! Staff there are really friendly and helpful also. We booked a Manta snorkeling trip at Mambo Dive for our group of friends and couldnt have been happier in our choice. Uys and Doris were super accommodating when we were booking and happily answered all our questions, especially as we were a group with varying experience in the water. The trip was great and their boat was fast. They were great in assisting our friends that werent too comfortable in the water. Super friendly staff and crew. We did the Manta snorkelling tour and had a brilliant time. It is very professionally run and you feel very safe and have a lot of trust in the staff. I had a great time doing the Rescue Diver course with Mambo Dive Resort and the amazing team. All instructors were really helpful and super friendly, so I had a lot of fun going through practical exercises. The reef is beautiful and we were lucky to see few mantas during the dives. The resort is located just next to the beach and the pool is facing the volcano - awesome view and facilities to chill before/after dives or if you have to read the theory for the course : D They also serve delicious lunch after diving. I strongly recommend Mambo, thank you team!

If want to dive on Nusa Penida you don't need to look further. These guys offer the best service for the best price on the island. Me and my wifey did the Open Water Diver course on our honeymoon and it could not have been better. We had two great instructors, Michael and Uys, just for the two of us. They spoke mothertounge english and were very patient, great teachers and just cool people in general. Uys even made a beautiful video with some footage he made with his drone and underwater camera. Doris manages this lovely resort very well, the lunch and organisation was awesome. Oh, and don't forget to pet Panda, the dog, because he loves to be around people.

Joined Mambo for one day of diving. DM Michael was very professional and knowledgeable in all steps of the process—making reservations, fitting gear, pre-dive meeting, leading in the water, dive logging, etc. He also has a good sense of humor when it comes out! Michael was careful to point out some potential dive hazards specific to the sites we were diving and how to avoid or deal with those hazards should they occur. It's notable that another shop I dived with previously on Nusa Penida never mentioned these things! Safety should come first, and it certainly felt like that was the case with Mambo/Michael. Michael and the others at Mambo took care of loading everything onto the boat, setting up gear, and unloading/cleaning when we got back. While I don't expect or need a dive center to do all of that for me, they did an excellent job so I certainly won't complain! The gear was in good condition and worked perfectly, and the boat was comfortable and clean. Snacks and drinks on the boat were simple but good, and lunch (nasi campur) when we got back was quite good. The shop is also a very nice place to hang out—couches/chairs inside, beach chairs/umbrellas, clean bathrooms, cute puppy, view of Mt. Agung. The pool was very clean as well if you are looking at a course that includes pool time. I would certainly have dived more with Mambo had I been staying on Nusa Penida longer. Highly recommended!

Stumbled on Mambo when we were scootering the north side on the lookout for shops. They had a sign outside advertising they spoke English, Dutch?, & Bahasa Indonesia, which we thought was worth checking out. On Google reviews, the 5 stars of many of the local shops was difficult to choose alone from. From in-person recon through booking, diving, and post-dive hangout, Mambo and its staff are friendly and chill, while still maintaining a high level of knowledge, quality, and professionalism. We dove with Michael, who gave us a thorough briefing before each dive, including good pro tips (extras that we haven't hear elsewhere) and peppered with some nice dry humor. The staff brought our equipment onto the boat, set up, helped us into them, later removed, washed and put away. They even took care of some our personal gear (the extra mile!). After the dive, Michael offered to sit down with the group to log our dives. The recon trip inspired confidence, and now that we've dove with them a day (2 dives), glad to say that it was everything Mambo put forward from the start and followed through with. Definitely would dive with them if we were here longer! (Dove with a different shop in Nusa Penida before Mambo. It was okay but wasn't worth a repeat. They missed on all the wins Mambo had in this review.) Bonuses: Panda the 5-month old puppy is so chill and fun around the shop, the lunch after diving was nice, great spot to snorkel out from shore, we didn't have to worry about a thing!

Had a great 2 dive experience with Mambo. They are very friendly, accommodating and professional. Equipment was top notch with choices of 3 and 5mm wetsuits. They provide tasty lunch with option for vegetarian. We wanted to see manta rays but it's off season atm so they didn't recommend us to go to manta point since the visibility is very low with poor chances of seeing mantas, just not worth the money. Appreciate the honesty 🙂 Saw a lot of other stuff like box fish, colourful slugs, turtles and orangutan crabs to name a few. Highly recommended! 🙂

I was thinking to take my open water scuba diving licence with mambo but just because the time not much enough so I took discovery scuba dive with my partner. was really good experience, good equipments, and very welcome stuff and friendly master dive was very helpful. The package was included with lunch with vegetarian option as well. We had really good time. Definitely recommend this place.

We went on a snorkling trip to three different locations. First to mantra bay and we saw 4/5 amazing mantas. Then we went to two coral locations and the water was cystal clear. There was fish everyone and they were all amazing colors. They provided good quality gear and also a tasty lunch. The staff were super friendly and this added to the experience. Would recommend for anyone in Nusa.

My first ever diving experience and I really love that I first experience it in mambo dive resort. Ace, my diving instructor is very accommodating, he said to calm and relax my body, at first I panicked but I trusted him so the whole 2 diving spots we went was very smooth. The manta point was very cold but I dealt with it and i was so happy i have seen manta ray and at the second spot i also love it because it’s different from the first. Very magical place under the water 🫶🏻
