Probably the best place in Shimla. Lovely trekking experience. You can trek from Mall Road to temple or take cable car ride to temple. But the trekking experience would be really great. Be aware of the monkeys, they may take anything away from you anytime.

jaku temple is one of the best place to visit in shimla. any one can reach to temple either by car or by ropeway.By car it may be around 1500 rupees and by ropeway it will be 580 rupees per person. The best way is to go by ropeway. after reaching temple you can enjoy the view of shimla mountains. while going be very alert from monkey 🐒. temple unioin is doing very good to keep temple premises neet and clean. temple get crowded after 9 am.there is lunger on every Tuesday. you can also have breakfast, lunch inside the canteen.

There is also bandara going on at the temple. The food was very much tasty.there is also one shiv ji temple located infront of the temple but we're few people go there please go there also.beware of monkeys.

The topmost point in Shimla and one of the finest place to get the serenity. There are two ways to reach here - one by road and one by walk. I would always prefer to walk because of the beauty of the path. Be careful of the monkeys at the temple as they won't leave glasses on your eyes.

The rope way is 550 rs per person 2 way. I would say for rope way experience take rope way one way and take taxi for the other way. Taxi is cheap, it was 400 for 3 ppl up and down. The temple is beautiful and beware of monkeys. There is not much trekking so people who have difficulty in walking can also visit, the only issue being the place to get rope way is a bit far in mall road and this walking is bit difficult (experience of mom and grandmother)

A great place to visit, its 8400 ft high from the 🌊 level, any you should definitely try the cable car once, its a awesome experience overall. You another thing you should not wear any sunglasses or glass as that can been taken by the bandars. For more info you can always refer to my photos. Thank you.

It's ancient times holy place. As it is Hanuman ji's temple, it has a lot of cute monkeys who want food and love from you. The view is awesome from the top. You should bring channas or breads or bananas etc. with you for monkeys, which make you feel good.

Jakhoo Temple, located in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, is one of the captivating and spiritually significant destination. Jakhoo Temple is renowned for its serene ambiance and the awe-inspiring statue of Lord Hanuman. You can take Ropeway or a taxi to reach there and Beware of Monkeys, they try to snatch your belongings. The temple is perched atop Jakhoo Hill, the highest point in Shimla, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The main attraction of the temple is the massive 108-feet tall statue of Lord Hanuman. If you are visiting Shimla, this is a must destination to visit.

Must visit the Jakhoo temple when you are in Simla. Hope below points are helpful for you. Though the distance is not much but you need to be in very good fitness to climb up as it’s very steep. The government runs shared taxis every half an hour behind the church which charges approx 20 per side per person. Coming back on foot is a good idea as you will enjoy the experience of nature

Serene and calm place to visit. We did the trek up to this temple and it’s a fairly difficult one. Alternate way is the longer route via vehicle. Well maintained and a clean place. It’s the highest point in Shimla & the 100+ ft huge statue of Lord Hanumanji is visible from almost any part of the city. Don't carry any valuables or baggage to the temple as there are a lot of monkeys in and around the temple; they don't harm you as such.

Aahh! O God I need water were my words reaching there. So, we went there walking on those steep paths . Felt so relaxed reaching there and I forgot that that I was thirsty. It's basically hanuman temple and yes beaware of the Monkeys. The verses of Hanuman Chalisa are written above the stairs . It has an open area too with swings which was covered with snow . Photography was not allowed inside the temple .

A serene place with the blessing of lord Hanuman. Tough Trek for people like me. But you can get either a cab service in 500 per couple or ropeway 500 per person both to and fro. But be aware this place has a lot of monkeys roaming around for food. So carry your food in bags only. Jai shree ram🙏🙏 Jai shree hanuman 🙏🙏

Nice hanuman temple located at highest point of shimla. Idol is visible from Mall road also. Best way to reach - take lift to go to mall road, walk towards church and ask for taxi there. We paid around 500(4people) for a round trip to temple. Roads are steep, but one can walk also. Beware of monkeys in temple, they snatch things. Temple is well maintained with garden, and small eateries. It's mostly crowded, but then whole shimla is crowded (so one gets used to of it) :)

This place is just wow, felt the vibes of Hanuman Ji over there. I was a bit scared of monkeys over there, apart from that you will feel the divine vibes here. Thats an ultimate feel when you start believing that you're there where Lord Hanuman rested for a while. You can reach there by walk or by local cab or trolly. Once you reach there, you will find the beautiful statue of Hanuman Ji, few temples and scenic views of Shimla. I am nobody to rate this place but still 500 out of 5.

Temple is very peaceful. Its a good place to have some peace. Route to temple needs some patience and energy. You need to walk for distance. From there u can find a taxi which they charged ₹100 up and down for 1person. There is a ropeway for the temple but its bit costly like 550 per person up and down. On the way to temple, you can find nice mall road which is full of shopping and eating place.

Jakhoo Temple is an ancient temple in Shimla, dedicated to the Hanumanji situated on Jakhoo Hill, highest peak of Shimla at height of 2,455 m (8,054 ft). A giant 108-feet-high idol of Hanuman was unveiled at Jakhoo Hanuman temple on 4 November 2010.The temple is accessible by foot, horse, taxi or ropeway. Amazing experience of Ropeway seems like we are flying over the trees in the valley. Woww😘☺😀👌

It was mesmerising to see 108ft Hanuman idol. According to the Ramayana, Hanuman stopped at the location to rest while searching for the Sanjivni Booti to revive Lakshmana. While visiting pls be careful about your specs and other belongings from monkeys all over. A must visit place if you ever go Shimla.

Most famous Hanuman Temple of Shimla. Situated on Jakhoo Hill at the height of 2555 m (8000 feet) above sea level. World's tallest statue of Lord Hanuman (108 feet ) was unveiled to public by Abhishek Bachchan on 5 November 2010. An ancient "Lord Hanuman" temple is there and every year a big festival is held on Dussehra. You can go to the temple by foot (a steep climb) from Ridge (path behind the church) or can hire a pony/horse. Taxis are available too

Shimla trip is incomplete without a visit to the Jhakoo temple! This is the highest point in Shimla and the 100+ ft huge statue of Lord Hanumanji is visible from almost any part of the city. The temple is accessible via ropeway, a car or a trek up the mountain. If you're coming by car, please note that the road hike is pretty steep with hair pin curves and during rush hours it might be difficult to navigate your car up and down the slopes. Also, don't carry any valuables or baggage to the temple as there are a lot of monkeys in and around the temple; they don't harm you as such.

The highest point of shimla , Jakhoo temple dedicated to lord hanumanji. It is said that lord hanumanji took a break at this point while he was on his way for sanjivni booti for lord lakshmana who was injured by an arrow. There is also a ropeway installed which takes you straight to the mall. Statue of lord hanumanji is also an attraction here.

Must visit Temple. It is located on top of Jakhu hill. One feels inner peace visiting this temple. Not to forget the 108 feet tall Hanumanji statue. It is very serene. To reach, you can get private cab at around 500rs or sharing cab at 100rs per person. Also there is ropeway available, I think it charges 550 per person round trip. If you're on Mall Road, there is a walk of about 1km to reach these points. If you wish to trek, it is 1.5km steep trek to reach temple.

Jhaku Temple is an ancient temple dedicated to hindu diety Hunuman. The temple is accessible by foot, taxi or ropeway. The ropeway was shut the day i went, so i reached there by taxi. There are alot of monkeys there so be careful, they like to snatch spectacle’s, food and shiny things. The people and your taxi driver will definitely give you precautionary measures before you go. Before you enter the temple, they will give you Prasad that they’ll advise you to hide along with your spectacles. The steps to the courtyard and temple are at an incline and has the hanuman chalisa written on the roof. There’s a courtyard you can roam about that has a huge statue of hanumanji. Then a little ahead js the main temple. You need to remove your shoes before you enter. . You must visit but be careful of the monkeys.

If you are a photo fanatic like my friends then you should go for the hike because it provide you with some amazing pics which will make your trip to Shimla more unique. There are several monkeys on the premises as well.

Divine place with lots of history. We went on a Sunday and just missed the Bhandara. It was a little crowded. Cable car ride to temple was worth it even though it's a little expensive. There is an option to walk all the way up, only if you have ample amount of time. Lot's of monkeys around. Make sure you don't carry any food items in plastic bags....the monkeys will snatch it. Also keep your cellphone safe. Be careful while taking pictures.

Wonderful place at a steep height from The ridge Shimla, it was raining heavily with a lot of clouds around so couldn't see around from top, but the 108 feet statute of lord Hanuman was awesome. Ropeway is a good option when the weather is clear, otherwise one can go for hired taxi or on foot

A must visit place in Shimla. Don’t miss it. Cab charges around 1000/- from cart road. If you’re self driving roads are quite steep but good and well maintained, take it only if you can drive in thinnest roads in mountains. Parking space is available. Normal queues in temple. It’s a beautiful view from the top.

जय बजरंग बली..🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Jakhu Temple is the identity of the entire Shimla. Hanuman ji stands on the highest point of Shimla and gazes upon the whole of Shimla. This temple situated at a place called Jakhu is very old. It is believed that Hanuman ji had descended here to bring Sanjeevani Booti for Lakshmana. This temple is at a very high altitude. Here you will hardly be able to reach by your car. So after climbing up a little, you take a local taxi here, it will reach you for 500 ₹. Another way is that there is a ropeway service to go to this temple ahead of the church on Mall Road. The per capita charge here is 550 ₹. Whenever you come here, beware of monkeys. They take away your belongings very quickly. Keep your mobile, purse with you. Visit the rest of Bajrang Bali's old wooden temple, spend some time... and come down to take his blessings.

The Jakhu Mandir, also spelled as Jakhoo, is located on Jakhu Hill. This lies about 2.5 km east of the Shimla Ridge. At a height of 2,455m above sea level, it is the highest peak in Shimla. This hilltop offers spectacular views of Shivalik mountain range and the town of Sanjauli. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and is home to a large colony of monkeys. It is believed that the temple dates back to the time of the Ramayana. And that the footprints of Lord Hanuman can be seen in this temple. The monkeys here are not afraid of humans and turn to tourists for food. They often even check tourist's pockets! However, they are not aggressive. It is advisable not to carry anything in your hands when visiting the temple. Beware of the monkeys though as they are too friendly...

Excellent place, beautiful atmosphere, strong positive vibes. Situated at the height of Shimla. You can reach here by Ropeway from mall road, stairs from mall road or by car. Although you go there by car, still you have to climb almost 300 stairs to the temple. It was worth visiting there Statue was lookin like giant "भीम रूप धरि असुर संहारे, सिया राम जी के काज सँवारे"
