I've completely lost trust in Michael Hill. I've happily informed Kharishma and Eddie I won't be ever returning to Michael Hill again. As a patron for over 10 years and my family having a long association with Michael Hill I'm happily never returning again. I will happily give my business to other jewellery stores. The Asian staff in particular are rude and unprofessional. They're quick to assume and lack basic sale skills. The final situation which made me disgusted was their constant negligence. I waited over three weeks for a link extension for a watch I had brought for my grandmother. Instead they removed two links and told me I had to wait another two weeks for the extension. From that moment I knew that their negligence could be no longer tolerated. Don't ever waste your time on Michael Hill. They have zero empathy and have no respect for patrons. I regret buying jewellery and gifts from them. Goodbye Michael Hill. Good riddance.

David, the person in michael hill Manukau Westfield blamed me that I should have cut the line/cue and knock on their door instead of waiting there in the cue. Since its level 3 lockdown, there's a security outside the door that watches all the customers if they are breaching the rules. As a good citizen, I dont't want to cut the line because there's a customer in the entrace door of Michael Hill. I have been waiting on the cue for 15 mins and the customer in the entrance door is still the same person. So, I called David and asked nicely if I can pick up quickly my order since it wont take long. Instead of apologizing, he blamed me about not knocking on the entrance door knowing im only there for click and collect I feel disrespected. I wont come back there anymore. Bad service

Good customer service however, found exact pair of earrings at Stewart Dawson at a fraction of the price. $143 vs. $65. Also the matching pendant $135 vs. $65. I could've bought the whole set for less than the one pair of earrings. Put me off MH forever, I think?

Not very easy to deal with. There was once a girl here by the name of Michelle - the Asian lady who knew what she was doing. Dealt with some of the Indian staff here and they tried to force sell me products I did not need. They were over pricing and over selling and not willing to do a deal particularly as I had told them I'm prepared to spend big.

Most appaling service I've ever received. Shocking customer service. Wish there was an option for a zero or negative star rating. Will never return to any Michael Hill store following my recent experience. Overpriced, poor selection, and the rudest staff I've ever dealt with. I'm surprised this store is still operating. To top it all off I keep getting spammed with emails asking me to rate my shopping experience despite me having sent 2 separate responses to which I've heard nothing back. No apology, no we'll do better, just another spam email asking me to rate my experience? @Michaelhill read your customer reviews and provide your staff with some training.

Lovely sales lady..spent more than I should have!!!

When you cry when you see a piece of jewellery... you know it's yours. My sales assistant listened to what I wanted and then proceeded to help me make the purchase digitally. I was nervous and excited at the start but left the store brimming with happiness.

This review is for the customer rep, Karishma. I was sure what I wanted when we came to that store. Thank you for acknowledging us each time we visited the store, being so cheerful throughout your service and providing us the details around finance, jewellery handling and helping us find the pieces. You made us this experience really smooth and hassel free for us. Definitely recommend anyone to approach Karishma with your request when you are in the store. She definitely is a gem in that store. Ps: cannot review the jewellery yet.

My husband purchased my wedding ring from here on the 4th November 2022 a 14kt white gold cluster ring $3999.00 which comes with a band as well. The rings were extended and we only picked it up few days before our legal wedding on the 4th of February 2023. Fast forward to 2 months in the ring started to go black on the spot on one of the rings. I did call them and they gave me to many reasons on how I could be the reason to causing it to go black. I told the lady who could barely make sense when speaking to me that I am not stupid and am aware of how to look after my ring and I am always careful and how was it even possible to have only one part of the ring go black which is the extension part and not have the other ring extension part go black which she didn’t have an answer to. Fast forward i gave my ring back to the store picked it up after 2 weeks to have the same problem happen again at the same spot after a month. I contacted them again saying what do I do now which they just said to drop at the store again for it to be checked. I am so upset and frustrated that how can a branded store like this scam people into using fake extensions on their $3999 ring? It’s become so hard to love my husbands choice of ring when I constantly think about the fact that we got scammed paying that much for fakes. Didn’t know Michael Hill sold fake jewellery on that kind of a price tag.

This branch is amazing! The minute I walked in they were all so welcoming, and genuine about it. The staff members are very approachable, and helpful, I definitely recommend this branch. They confident in what they know, they smile and have a warm presence. The minute I walked in, they recognized my engagement ring and knew instantly it was a Michael Hill ring! I loved that! I love all the products, I've bought my husband's wedding band from here and he loves his ring! I will definitely be back at this branch again and I would 100% recommend for everyone to buy from this branch specifically. Also.. .Tracey Cui! You are wonderful! Black friday sale, a v good experience. Looked at the 5-6 items I'd seen online. Some pieces a lot better IRL, others a little smaller. Got a couple of birthday gifts + something for me too. Plus my rings got a free clean while I was shopping. That's a great customer benefit

Absolutely shocking! My partner purchased an engagement ring for me and when he took it back in to resize they said there was no way they could resize since the diamonds would fall out of the ring going too small. I understand that issue however what I’m not impressed with is that my partner was never ever told at the time of purchase that they could not resize this type of engagement ring to a smaller size. Now we only having the option to exchange for other rings which are not what I wanted. Terribly disappointing. Maybe staff should be taught to educate the customer instead of wanting a quick buck!

The Chinese woman at the Manukau branch working today with the gold chain and bracelet should not be employed by Michael hill as she was rude and mocking her behaviour was shocking refusing to refund me and lying saying she needed “clearance” when another amazing staff member (beautiful Indian lady) stepped in, took over and proceeded to complete the refund for me in the end. This behaviour is untrustworthy & despicable, she refused to provide a solution and continued to tell me no shortly before she stormed off and spoke loudly about me to her staff members in the back of the store. I don’t tolerate this behaviour and I will not be sitting back letting her get away with it, disgusting and unacceptable!! I sure hope to hear how she has been disciplined or how I can take this matter further asap she has no right to disrespect me as a PAYING customer weather it’s a refund or not.
