After Limassol trip, where i ate some really good fresh fish i ended up here befoe flight. Good opinions sugested that i will be satisfied again but i wasn't as much as in other restaurants in other places. Fish was, well, okay one. It was Sea Bream, which was really "oily", like there was too much butter or oil used. Biggest dissapointent was a fact that for 2 fish orders we got only 1 small plate of fries and another small plate of rice which wasn't the best. I can give 3/5 at most.

We went as a couple for dinner, looking for fish. We shared a fish platter and it was huge. Great selection of different seafood and accompanied by sald, vegetables and chips. Very good quality and worth waiting a little time for.

Been in Paphos for holidays and been to Laterna Taverna four times! Would absolutely recommend it to anyone and would definitely go there again. The food is great, the service is great and it really makes you feel like your local restaurant but abroad. We've tried many things, all lovely. A few of my top favourite are: Moussaka, Afelia, Kleftiko and, the holy grail (that you have to order in advance) the Ttavas. Go there, you won't regret it.

Very nice family establishment. Food is great. We ordered musaka, kleftiko and other day calmari. Will be back for octopus. Most recommended. Don't be fooled by the look. It is not a posh restaurant but Cypriot tavern with the best tastes. I just don't understand reviews about busy street next to the tavern... Seriously? Edit. Octopus was amazing! Also please order yogurt with honey...

First place we visited in Paphos and it set the bar really high. Very friendly staff (especially Mr Christos), great food and the prices really affordable.

We liked the food, had moussaka and dolomades. Tasty and felt home cooked. Would recommend. Complimentary tzaziki and bread were great too.

The best meal we had on Paphos! We had a traditional Cyprus dish called stifado and some seafood. We also got a salad,pita and sauces. Best homemade tzatziki ever! Friendly service

Had very tasty dinner at Laterna Taverna with my partner. We ordered two starters - Cypriot sausages and Kings prawns and 1 main course which was Fish of the day which came with side vegetables and few chips. We also ordered village salad. All the food came perfectly cooked, seasoned to perfection and nicely presented. At all time we felt very welcome and received warm service.

Very good food! Greek/Cypric local vibe. Two friends and I had 7 starters and we're stuffed!!! We definitely recommend: the Greek salad, mussels, halloumi, tzatziki, Garlic mushrooms, calamari, pita bread So-so: dolmades (the stuffed grape leaves) No-go: avocado and shrimp Definitely worth visiting when in Pafos!!!!

The Cyprus meze was amazing. So much food and it was delicious and diverse. The service was wonderful and they were very nice and welcoming. They saw we celebrated a birthday and didcated a happy birthday song for us! We would love to come back

we came here just for a fast dinner (we thought about typical greek gyros pita). pitas here was a little different (no tzatziki, pork option) but we was really delighted. great ingredients made a simple dish with perfect balance and portions was really large

We ate here early evening. Perfectly good chicken salad, chicken kebab and stuffed kebab. House lager ok. Mojito well made. Staff friendly and pleasant. €41 for two with drinks. Lovely warm pitta and houmous provided too.

We were satisfied with food and service. We ordered meze - mix of fish and Cyprus meze for 2, but shared per 3 persons. It was plenty of good food - olives, tomatoes, salad, tzatziki (which I liked the most), tahini, caviar spread, different kinds of meet, fish and seafood; fruits and baklava (hot and delicious!) for dessert. Paid 40 eur shared by 3 persons. I preferred Cyprus (meat) meze over fish meze so if you have to choose, choose Cyprus option :)

This restaurant really made my day. The food was delicious and the staff were really helpful when deciding what to order. They gave us free apple pie and ice cream. The music was really fun. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

One of the best meals and experiences of our trip, incredible seafood platter and complimentary appetisers. Had a great time chatting with the hosts and the chefs were exemplary. Lovely traditional feel and we will be back as soon as possible!

A very family restaurant. The owners are super friendly and helpful. They love children. The portions are big and you can tell it's fresh all the time. We went there 5 days in a row for dinner because it was worth it. Prices are more than ok for the sizes

Lovely restaurant So welcoming and friendly. Food fresh and delicious. Pitta with garlic bread delicious and served warm. Then calamari to start, sea bream and pepper steak as our mains. Greek/ Cypriot music in background which was nice. Apple pie was complimentary. Would highly recommend.

Really pleasant place and staff. I've had ratatuille with pita and chips/fries. Delicious and fresh. Big glass of home wine. It's not easy to find vegan places so it's great that in tavernas there are some vegan options. I hope there will be more

Very nice tavern with a great service. The swordfish was fantastic, the variety of the dishes is perfect, portions are fair enough to try everything. Good prices. Nice staff and delicious bakery as compliment from the tavern. Definitely recommended to visit.

Came here for dinner and spotted the 3 course menu. I was prepared to just go for the steak anyway, so to get 3 courses for basically the same price was great value. The starter, we both went for the soup of the day which was vegetable. Really delicious thick soup with bread and garlic butter dip . Mains , I had the t-bone steak. The steak was really big, juicy and well cooked, I asked for it medium and it was just that for the most part. Some parts were a bit rarer, but not a complaint as its a very large steak to get medium all the way, and also it tasted great. My only thing to say it that it lacked a bit of finesse, a seasoning or glase, herbs, and some more basting with butter would have brought an even better flavour. But you can't complain with what it costs. Onto the pudding, both had the pancakes with ice-cream. Taste amazing and the honey on the pancakes worked very well against the cool vanilla ice- cream. Overall, well worth the price. You won't be disappointed and will leave full and happy. Good atmosphere in the dining room and live music with traditional Greek music will leave diners satisfied.

Laterna Taverna was right opposite to where we were staying in Paphos. We wanted to try Ttavas and hence we visited this place in search of it, they told us that we need to pre order it, but we went in anyway. We loved the food so much that we told them to make Ttavas for us and we would visit the next day. We weren’t disappointed.! It was one of the best things I ate jn Cyprus. I would recommend Laterna Taverna for everyone who are looking for authentic Cypriot cuisine.
