Very friendly staff, not so nice food. Refried chips, watery orange juice & dry omelette. We both felt dodgy guts after. Lovely spot though.

We had Lamb Chops and Beef Stifado. Both meals are perfectly and more than enough. The location in the old town of Paphos is super, you get a wide view of the sea.

Caution. 2 restaurants in the same small alley. A bit confusing. Food was terrible. Sorry but really nothing tasted good:(

We passed by Kava Café while out and about in the Paphos old town. The view was the primary reason for stopping here, sitting under the trees in the shade with a road going down hill looking on to Paphos. Beautiful spot just on the edge of the shops and taxi pick up area. Service was friendly and pleasant, no problems here at all. Food wise we ordered two chicken souvlaki meals. These meals were composed of two small chicken skewers, a generous serving of chips and a fresh salad. On the side we had houmous, tzatziki and pita bread. The portion size was good for the price at €12 Let's talk about food quality. Generally the food was decent, far from bad but also nothing outstanding on the plates. Seems like a pretty safe average. The chicken as mentioned had used smaller pieces of chicken then expected which were slightly overcooked, I would say slightly under seasoned too but with lemon and dips no problem fixing that. A little tip for the skewers they are perfectly sized to grab a pita quarter and use it to pull the chicken off the skewers directly into the pita. The salad was super fresh, lovely cuts of various vegetables. The salad is undressed however, so tzatziki, houmous and table oils come in useful here. The dips where tasty and saved the rest of the meal imho. As we were leaving the waitress popped over to give us a free chocolate cake which I quite enjoyed, which was a lovely surprise. Overall good sized portions on the souvlaki meal as a whole, food was fresh and just ok flavour wise but well priced. The view outside, with the shade and slight breeze felt like a great place to sit and eat. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, surprise cake on the house was a wonderful touch.

I had a small meal here just before leaving Paphos. It was a very hearty and wholesome meal. The server was incredible. Right across from this place you can go down an elevator to get to the taxi/buses station.

Great place to visit with a great view of Paphos down by the harbour. Atmosphere is lovely. Food was decent but my Greek salad was not great, it was 80% cabbage so would not recommend. Friends had chicken souvlaki which they loved and a ceasar salad with chicken which was average. Prices reasonable so worth a visit. I also ordered a malibu and coke and the malibu came in a small cocktail glass with a separate glass for the coke...made me chuckle. Overall worth a visit.

Came for lunch with friends and just had a fantastic time. The food was delicious, and we have enjoyed the selection of sides they had as well. The service at this restaurant was amazing, our waiter was so lovely, charming and attentive. The overall experience was priceless. We'll definitely be going back and would recommend!

Our meal at Kavacafe was disappointing. We ordered Cyprus meze, and it was the worst quality meze we have ever had on the island. The amount of food provided was quite stingy, and the meat was all overcooked. On the positive side, they did include a nice salad which was fresh, and the views were very nice as well. Overall, we would not recommend this restaurant for a meal, but it would be a good place to get a coffee, or a cocktail.

Stopped here for lunch on Monday - food was barely average for the price, and we did not take to our server . Waited a while for shared Greek salad, grilled chicken breast and sheftalies. We were upsold some “garlic bread” which was thinly sliced, untoasted, soggy baguette with raw garlic and microwaved cheese on top. Chips were obviously McCain oven chips, I didn’t eat mine. Fast forward to the next evening, my partner (who had the grilled chicken breast) has full blown salmonella poisoning. He cut me off a small bit to try at the time so I only have mild symptoms. A miserable way to spend our last few days of holiday , sabotaged by such a disappointing meal.

Unfortunately the food we were served wasn’t really edible/pleasant. Desiccated and overcooked chicken; rubbish chips. No one asked us how our food was at any point (even when clearing barely touched plates). We suspect this was because they knew. The view is ok.

Beautiful little restaurant in the Old town of Paphos. Naturally shaded by a big tree, friendly staff, good food and a nice view.

Visited several times. Pet friendly. Good food, nothing fancy. Good portions. For morning coffee or brunch it gets a lot of sun that you cannot avoid. Great view.

We had been to christos next door severa time's and enjoyed it. This time we thought we would try kavacafe, sadly this was a mistake. The restaurant is dated and basic (not in the traditional way) this would not have been a problem if the food was good. I had a pork chop which was poor quality, over cooked and mainly bone and gristle. My husband had a ceaser salad which was at best passable. Sadly we would say this has been the worst meal we have had since moving to Cyprus. I know this review sounds harsh but it is honest based on our experience sadly.

Visited to have a light lunch but it seems there is no such thing at this restaurant - ideal for those who like huge meals. Menu was interesting and they cater for most people. Took long time for meals to arrive, not sure if that’s because everything is cooked to order from scratch or because of busy kitchen or maybe inefficient staff. Prices were very reasonable. Found a hair in my meal, it can happen, but shows some slight unhygienic practices. A slice of cake when you pay the bill, not sure why this is necessary and it also wasn’t that tasty. The gentle breeze across the terrace was welcomed

4 stars for the view, 2 stars for the breakfast (3 stars overall). Disappointing breakfast, 1 tiny cocktail sausage, awful (cheap) bacon and small portions of everything else on the plate. Price was reasonable, but sooner paid a couple of Euro's more for a nicer breakfast.

We had a nice lunch here. It may not be the smartest of venues, but the shade from the trees over the patio and the hustle and bustle and views made it a nice place to spend an hour. The food was very reasonably priced and consisted of big portions. The sheftalies were tasty and the pita was yum. The staff were kind to our 5 year old and attentive but unobtrusive. Of all the places we could have gone, we were enticed in by the friendly welcome. Some folk don't like that, and we don't usually, but today and for this place, it worked.

Lovely coffee and apple pie. Good situation on the edge of the market. Staff friendly and chatty. They give you time to decide and don’t hurry you off at the end. Main menu looks good. Huge variety.

The frappe, floater iced coffee here, is to die for! The best,we have found thus far and we have come back again today. Lunch was fresh and fantastic. We love this place, perfect position, with the most incredible view. Sit down at the end of the patio, where it is really tranquil and pleasant. The owner is such a courteous and charming man and the staff are lovely. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Two stars only for fresh orange juice- it was delicious! Everything else doesn’t deserve any stars. I ordered pizza (margherita) and i was shocked when waitress gave me frozen pizza which looks like the cheapest ones from supermarkets- only that one was „covered” by regular cheese and tomato slices. Not okay. Better get it off the menu. Don’t let yourself fool by the nice views from the table.

Little pricey and not a lot of variety, but the taste was good. We took vegetarian platter and halloumi platter. The staff was reallt nice and welcoming, they also brought extra bread and cake for free :)

The food that is served here tastes good and is really filling. Cooks use real products, thus dishes are really worth their prices (that are not too high). The staff are funny, friendly and helpful.

The food took forever to come. The chicken breast was dry and hard. The "chicken soup" was water with chicken cubes and lots of soup powder, frozen vegetables and white rice.completly tasteless. The only things ok we're the hamburger that my son ordered and the french fries. The place was half empty. No excuses.

  • 1/5 Jim P. 2 years ago on Google
The worst coffee I've ever tasted in Paphos, and probably one of the worst chicken sandwiches. The Freddo Espresso was plain dirt water and the sandwich dry with absolutely no taste at all.

I highly not recommend this place. We've ordered Pizza Margherita and Spanish Crepe with Feta cheese. We have got frozen pizza with a lot of normal yellow cheese( they were trying to hide that's frozen?)( I would not have problem if dough would be frozen, this is normal) It looks like a pizza from supermarket with few slices of yellow cheese on top. Also in a spanish crepe with feta were only couple pieces of feta and again yellow cheese slices on top. Only fresh orange juice was good. I am really disapointed.

Not even close to be called a restaurant. All tables with leftovers from the past, and a lot of grease on the tables. They get my order wrong twice and bring it in wrong order.. I got desert, wrong orders then my order. The meat was hard and the salate was badly cut...o spices, no sos, no taste. The atmosphere was of the staff screaming at each other and the sound of blenders. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

Friendly from the moment we stepped in the door, fresh, delicious local food and accommodating for vegans and for those with dietary requirements (Coeliac in my case). The staff were kind and patient, taking the time to discuss our needs and making sure that these were met. Service was also quick despite a full packed restaurant and the view from the terrace was stunning. Would definitely recommend, just wish we could have eaten the complementary chocolate cake!

😐 We ate here after all of the 5 star reviews, but left disappointed. The calamari was delicious, but the chicken was a little dry (with no sauce), as was the lamb. The moussaka was 75% aubergine, so could have done with a little more meat in my opinion. The drinks weren't the cheapest either, espec...
