Highly recommended this one. We went here twice during our week's stay in Pafos. Massive Giros sandwiches for €5 each if you don't want the large fancy menus (which are not expensive either). You also get free drinks at the end of your stay, which is lovely. Very friendly and calm staff.

never again! Absolutely rotten service. A big piece of glass stuck in a piece of chocolate cake and never realised until crunching on it and it cutting all my mouth open. Manager refused to accept that it was from his food. Yet blood everywhere clearly from his food! Not even a bit of courtesy just a lousy apology yet that could kf been one of my kids eating that! Used to be such a nice place but after this experience I will never be back here again!

Yet another brilliant dining experience at the family owned and run restaurant. They have always strived to make everyone's time spent there as pleasurable as possible. Will be dining there again soon hopefully

This is an amazing place. We went there several times during our stay in Paphos and everytime we went the food was excellent. The family that owns the restaurant is very friendly and welcoming which adds to the nice experience. The only downside I see to coming here is that you will be too full to go for a walk after your meal :)

A lovely relaxed restaurant with friendly yet efficient but not rushed service. The menu is wide ranging and as a family run concern, the food is all home cooked. Generous portion sizes. Would recommend the meze. But ate twice there and all the food is super and especially the traditional. The atmosphere was slightly spoiled owing to the Robin Hood bar opposite blasting out music forcing the entire street to listen.

Excellent food and service. Food to suit all tastes but I went for dolmades and stifado which were both delicious. Very friendly and attentive staff.

We’ve been using this excellent traditional family ran Cypriot tavern for many years. The food is always amazing and the service first class. So when it came to organising our wedding reception this was always our first choice. The family went out of their way to ensure we had an amazing evening. Our 24 guests were blown away by this venue, food, service, and Cypriot dancing. We will be back next year and our friends are sure pay the Alkion a visit too. Thank you all so much. Awful service! Got seated at 8:30 but got our food AFTER 2 HOURS! Crazy slow service! And the food was bad and pretty small dishes! Adding photo of a margarita pizza and traditional dips. At the end we got a few extra dishes on the bill probably to try to cheat us for dessert.

Huge recommendation. The food there is very delicious (I ordered lamb and it was amazing) The staff there is very kind, friendly and nice.

Lovely family run taverna serving good quality home cooked Cypriot dishes in a relaxed setting. The Set menus are excellent quality and well priced. We visited a second time and ate from the main menu which is equally delicious

Paphos has many restaurants, but after many recommendation I finally got to try Alkion. Cannot praise it highly enough.. best food I have had in a long long time.. tasty, good portions and impeccable service.. I wish there were 6 stars. Owner and family completely dedicated to making the experience. Fantastic. ****** 6 stars

When they say family run, they mean it. Cozy atmosphere where the family - be it father, son or sister - take your order and ensure you have a good experience. I enjoyed the moussala (I had it as part of a set, but you can order it separately) - see pic.

What a lovely place to spend an evening. We tried our first Meze here and it was the best choice we could get. Delicious food, its enough for two people. Friendly stuff. As a Czech nativ also beer was surprisingly tasteful. Amazing service !

Been here for dinner, had great time, personnel was great, food was amazing. We ate meat meze, portions are definitely great.. At the end got complimentary drinks on the house. We'll come back definitely.

A good evening in a family restaurant. The cooking made by the mother is excellent. A good price-performance ratio. All this accompanied by Greek music in the background. The waiters (the children) are very friendly and guide you in the choice of dishes, remembering that it's mom who cooks. We will return with pleasure.

Best restaurant we tested in cyprus. Over the number of times we went here, we ordered around half of the items in the menu, and no matter what we tried, it was excellent. Staff is polite and endearing, a happy little family having their own business. We cannot state enough how much we loved this place, but i shall try: even if everything in cyprus would have been horrible (which of course isnt), finding this restaurant and eating here would have still made our trip worth it. Ps: favorite dish for me was the fillet beef :)

We ordered the meat meze which is for 2 people or more. Everything we ate was so delicious! Truly cannot emphasise how tasty all the plates were. We struggled to finish all the food. Very good value for the €42! Bravo to the chef. Bravo to the polite staff. Will be returning for another meal.

As the title says, family run, husband, wife,son and daughter. This place is run with love and care. Attention to detail, wonderful. So friendly and the food is exquisite. The other half always has Kleftiko here, reckons it's the best. A must to visit.

Precies are good, staff was superb but from the 5 People Who had a 3 meal course only 2 plates was nice to eat...

Ordered kebab to go, and although the products were fresh, the kebab lacked the sauce. Without it everything was really dry. It would be easy to add some tzatziki or other sauce to make it eatable and super tasty.

Their Moussaka is one of the tastiest dishes I have ever experienced in my life. Service is great, prices are just so nice and affordable.

Very good food. Father and son are hosting the restaurant. They are very kind and lovely to talk to. We laughed a lot also and the son should let his hair grow like his dad! :-P

Wonderful experience at this resteraunt. It's truly a family Tavern, with Mom, Dad, and their kids all serving, tending bar, and other various duties. Instantly, our server made us feel like family too! On top of the absolutely incredible food, the atmosphere was incredible. My friend and I sat down for a meal and by the end of it, us and several other tables had come together in a family style "apré meal" and chatted for several hours. I had the lamb, which I can honestly say was the best I'd ever had. Seriously. The portion size was biiiig! The appies were all good, and they have a really good cocktail menu. Check it out, it's an experience you won't want to miss.

The familiar restaurant are very courteous and friendly. The meals are sufficient and I like the Brandy Sour. I can recommend. Enjoy it!

Food was 11/10 one of the best Lambs ive ever eaten in my life and i need to say Im a cook in a really good restaurant and im working a lot with this meat.

Excellent customer service!!! Really welcoming and such a nice atmosphere! The food is unbelievable, I had a steak and I’ve never been anywhere where it’s been cooked so well, usually I am left disappointed but this place was amazing! Thank you to dimitri the waiters who took care of our every need and made us laugh continuously! Great team work and lovely food must come here if you visit paphos!
