If I could I would give 0 star for this restaurant. Worst experience ever and ridiculously expensive. We ordered the fish meze which is 25€ per person for 5 people, which included 2 village salads, 2 fish platters (see photo as a sample of what was included), fried fish (marida) and "fresh fish" (fagkri). The food was tasteless, all fried fish were probably fried with the oil of 5 days ago and the last "fresh" fish dish had gone bad (see photo). When we told the manager he was reluctant to listen to our feedback. The manager by the way did not wear a mask for a minute whilst we were there. The best thing was the bottled water and the bottled Ouzo. Absolute disappointment. Should be noted that they charged and then discounted the fruit plater, which is customary in Cyprus to offer us a free treat to customers.

The place is amazing! The vibe is great, the food is absolutely fantastic, staff is very attentive and the location/facilities/toilets are in nice condition. And then there is Coco, the main star of the restaurant - a live pelican of a very endangered species that keeps you company. We ordered fish meze which is a 5 course menu that costs cca. 25€ per person. The price itself is not the problem, you get great food and lots of it, but the minimum persons to order is 2. The amount of food you receive could easily feed 3 if not 4 persons. So for couples that want to try traditional cyprus food, there is no option but to leave a lot of the food to waist. We don't like throwing food away, so it would be really nice if there was an option to solve this problem. Otherwise, nothing to complain, would recommend 9/10 👌

Best meal we had all holiday. Couldn’t thank the staff enough for their friendly service and tasty food. We didn’t book and were lucky to get a table so I would recommend booking if you can. Beautiful choice of fresh fish and portions were very good too. The restaurant is named after the bird that walks around the restaurant during the day which is a treat to see.

Great food and very nice staff, always ready to answer questions about everything and not just the restaurant. We were lucky enough to get free fruit, sweet fruit and a shot of the local spirits. Will definitely recommend ❤️

Great fish meze - dips, pitta, salad and a variety of fish including prawns, mussels and bream. Delicious but maybe too much for two people. Nice restaurant and staff very friendly. Just not sure happy with a Pelican being kept at a restaurant 🤔.

Uncooked vegetables, sardines were dry ( probably not fresh ), rice was dry/half cooked, but definitely not risotto lol. The salad had an awful flavor to it - sorry if it sounds harsh, but I don’t recommend this place. The view is nice, and as someone already mentioned- the bottled water. Will spend my money elsewhere with such quality control, or lack of it.

Good place to eat. Despite being at capacity (very busy - a Saturday night!) service was efficient and quick. Food was lovely and not too expensive. Note: parking on the seafront municipal car park was total gridlock chaos but there is overflow parking behind the castle (off the seafront roundabout towards the coach park area).

It was difficult to find a place with fresh fish and fresh meet in the same place but we made it. We had to wait a bit but we have got our order directly from the grill! I’ve tried the fish soup - taste was incredible. Highly recommend!!!!

Very welcoming! Staff are very friendly. Amazing food and great quality for the price. Best restaurant on Paphos Harbour, tried all of them but this one is the best with the tastiest food and the nicest wine. So glad I came across it, absolutely recommend. Will definitely come back.

The fish mezze was great. Tons of food too. You will not leave hungry. This was the amount for two people. The TNT juice (a carrot and orange blend) was also good.

Very welcoming and all the staff are very nice and helpful! We had a big group and kids and nothing was too much trouble! The food was gorgeous and very well priced, especially where there is 12 of you! I would highly recommend and definitely say hello to CoCo the pelican!

The pelican came to visit the restaurant! Lovely setting on the water in the harbour. Good food, especially the salad. I think it was called 'Pelican salad' and had local figs and cheese in it. A nice place to spend the evening.

Strolling down Paphos harbour, we passed by the "Pelican Restaurant". The blue checkered tablecloth catched our attention.  It looked so mediterranean that we couldn't resist to stop for a drink. I had an alcohol free cocktail, served in an attractive way.  Friendly, correct and smooth service. Nice place to sit.

The highlight of the visit was seeing a pelican sitting by one of the tables but I won't be eating there a second time. The food was okay. The fish dish one of us had was good and the salads were generous in size but the burger meal was just okay. The service was the biggest letdown. The staff were busy but we felt rushed by them. They were attentive but only so they could clear plates and glasses like they were preparing for the next customer.

Nice restaurant but it would have been good if we could have all eaten at the same time, there were 6 in our group and some had to wait 20 minutes after the first of the group had eaten! The swordfish was overcooked and dry but the rest was pleasant. Would I recommend? I'm not sure because we ate there when it wasn't busy and they didn't seem to cope.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. This was recommended to us by a tour guide and we settle not disappointed. The food and service was great, and it’s nice to sit in the harbour and watch all the boats and people. They also have a mascot… a pelican that sits in the window watching everything!!

Friendly staff - prompt service. Great meals for the kids. Good coffee. Fresh squeezed orange juice. We were pretty pleased to stumble across this restaurant after visiting the mosaics. Happy to meet the resident pelican too.

We had a fantastic meal fish mezze during our visit. Being gluten intolerant I understand the difficulties often found when eating out but in this occasion we have a fantastic experience. When I asked just to be pointed out which food had wheat as I’m “only” intolerant the server was really helpful and asked the kitchen to make the whole meal suitable. He requested the kitchen to serve only grilled fish and he gave us a bottle of mix of olive oil, lemon, mustard, salt and pepper to season our fish. This was wonderful. They prepared a side dish of fresh wedges for my hubby and for the starter they pointed dips that I could have. The food was cooked to order tasty and in big portions. We had a fantastic experience and we left a nice tip as we felt so looked after. Thanks for your hospitality 😀

It was exactly as I expected... not worth it and extremely overpriced for the quality of food and waiters. You just pay a lot more just because it's near to the see. What irritated us very much are the guys standing in front of the restaurants constantly bothering people to get in "come in my friend, come in my friend"... we gated this a lot as one can't focus. Toilets were clean. I took a burger for 18 EUR, tried McDonald's big tasty next day for 6 EUR and it was way better than the one from pelican.

We loved the location, and got to see the pelican that was led to the water by a waitress, the food was nice and the portions were enough, we enjoyed the pita and tzatziki, we would come again.

It was the first restaurant on Cyprus. And I really recommend this place. The food was so delicious. We saw a pelican inside the restaurant. We were very happy to spend some time there

Really good food with a good atmosphere- pricey but we’ll worth the money, great views overlooking the harbour - they have a real pelican walking around which was amazing. Chips and salad the best I’ve ever had.

Honestly 5 star goes mostly to the pelican himself. Restaurant was allright. I would say food wise it was nothing too special. Pizzas, sea food salad, child nuggets meal and some drinks.

Tried the fisherman's platter. Not made with love. Quality not corresponding to what we have read... Disappointed!

The food was great, as was the service. We ordered the fisherman platter and every single dish on it was great + there is a chance you might see the turtles swimming in the sea.

Beautiful Location, very friendly staff , nice tidy clean place. We ordered a Pelican Grill for two , was very huge portion and freshly made. All in all a good cheerful harbour restaurant.

Pork was a little bit chewy but octopus and hamburger were perfect.

I saw the pelican, the host of the restaurant, I'm happy. Oh and food was good ;)

This is the best fish restaurant in Pathos in my experience! staff is super friendly (they also gave us a table we asked for even if we didn't book and the restaurant was busy). The food was delicious and cheaper comparing to other restaurants. we had a meze, octopus and local white wine - everything was sooo good. Definitely recommend this place to everybody!

The food here is very good and the information on the place is very interesting. If your lucky you might see the restaurant pelican actually come and join you for dinner

Overall it was good evening at the restaurant with family. Some dishes were tasty, some wasn't. Staff was friendly. Live pelican is super nice.

Impressive right on Paphos bay. Mega yatchs moored. Excellent service by great team. Plentiful fresh, tasty, seafood. I enjoyed it and my guests were impressed.
