If
you
are
looking
for
an
authentic
as
possible
Cypriot
café
in
Paphos,
look
no
further.
Right
next
to
the
old
town
lies
this
charmingly
delightful
family
owned
and
run
business
that
is
loved
both
by
the
locals
and
visitors.
Having
visited
here
twice
it
all
makes
sense
to
me
now.
Sykaminia
Café
has
welcomed
folks
for
decades
and
its
folksy
and
amiable
atmosphere
makes
you
always
want
to
stay
for
a
lot
longer
than
intended.
The
owner
and
the
staff
are
simply
lovely,
and
you
probably
won’t
feel
more
welcome
anywhere
in
town.
That
is
a
lot
to
say
when
you
take
into
consideration
that
the
neighborhood
surrounding
this
restaurant
in
general
is
exceedingly
friendly.
The
menu
itself
offers
nice
local
and
international
choices
for
a
proper
breakfast
or
a
heftier
meal
later.
When
I
last
visited,
I
had
a
Cyprus
plate
in
the
late
afternoon
full
of
local
produce
and
it
was
utterly
delicious
completed
with
a
crispy
pint
of
beer.
Even
if
it’s
in
the
middle
of
the
town
the
feeling
entering
the
oldest
café
in
Paphos
is
immediately
very
relaxed.
Big
thanks
of
course
go
to
the
dedicated
and
obliging
staff
but
the
place
itself
with
its
artsy
decorations
and
long
history
makes
it
a
splendidly
convenient
living
room
with
a
soul.
Sitting
on
the
cozy
terrace
underneath
the
trees
watching
the
sunset
is
just
brilliant
while
enjoying
a
nice
cup
of
Cyprus
coffee
or
a
cocktail
if
it’s
your
cup
of
tea.
It
was
a
bit
unfortunate
that
the
timing
of
our
entourage
didn’t
allow
us
to
enjoy
the
live
music
events
Sykaminia
Café
holds
regularly.
Luckily
the
sunny
Cyprus
is
never
too
far
from
chilly
Tallinn!
Paphos
itself
offered
a
memorable
and
versatile
off-season
holiday
with
its
picturesque
nature
and
world
heritage
sites
which
can
only
be
recommended.
Small
local
establishments
such
as
Sykaminia
Café
with
its
wonderfully
warm-hearted
people
is
what
makes
you
want
to
come
back
again.
